3. Presentation Environment
For a suitable working environment at which to present my work. I must have easy access to the resources
needed to show my presentation.
As shown on the right, the following equipment is needed in order to achieve a successful presentation of my
work.
Also for a sustainable presentation, continues eye contact and focusing on what you are presenting, will show a
deep understand of your work and how you developed this further.
The computer screen at which my work is
the primary source of my presentation, I
will have access to seeing the slide and
the information as well as read of my own
notes.
The help of the keyboard and
mouse allowed me to have a
smooth transition as to a
successful presentation of my
pitch.
A smart board is how I will show my work
to the rest of my colleagues during my
pitch. This would allow myself and my
colleagues to see my work over a larger
space.
4. Presentation Environment - Continued
Also to help me film and present my
presentation, I was filmed with the use
of a camera.
And to support the camera while
presenting my pitch, the use of the
tripod was very helpful.
7. Analysis of Pitch
During my presentation, I was being recorded my a Canon Camera with a 32GB memory card. This helped me
see my body language, eye contact, and hear my tone of voice. Looking back through my pitch, I was able to
depict my strengths and weaknesses that I could improve on with delivering my pitch in future.
Although I had created a script, I did not quite follow it, as I tried to remember what I wrote off the top of my
head, this led me to the improvisation of my slide. However, I was able to explain each slide very well.
The improvements that I could have made, were to cue cards as my script, slow down in pace when speaking
as well as sound a little more professional and make more eye contact with my audience. Moreover my pitch
went very well, and the improvements suggested were very helpful for when I do other presentations in the
future.
8. Improvements
on Pitch
After gaining some
helpful feedback and
improvements on my
pitch, from me fellow
classmates, I was able
to check my
statements as to what I
could have improved
on further.
Along with the
helpfulness of the
WWW and EBI I was
also able to understand
and see the improves
that would have made
my pitch better, and
what those improve
could do in the future.
9. Presentation
I used Google Drive to help me create my Ctec Media Coursework as my work is continuously saved and easy
to access through my google/gmail account. This was a very useful tip as I did not need to save any of my work
on a Memory stick, as I did not want any of my images, fonts and work to get corrupted. Google Drive was a lot
more easier to edit and access all my work. Finally, Google Drive was a great way to keep all my work
organised and save continuously; I could add/ create folder, and make Word Documents (Google Docs), use
Excel (Google Sheets) and create Powerpoints (Google Slides).
10. Presentation - continued
Once my work was complete, I went to:
“File”, “Download as” and clicked on “Microsoft Powerpoint (.pptx); which I how I presented my presentation.
And “PDF Document (.pdf); If I wanted to upload my work to Wordpress and the File size is a lot smaller and
more faster to upload.
11. Survey Monkey - Feedback
Before my pitch, I sent a school email to my fellow Media Studies, which they had quick and
easy access to my questionnaire and give me feedback. I created the five question survey two
days before my pitch and emailed my classmates the link the day before my presentation.
