1. How Did You Use Media
Technologies In The
Construction, Research,
Planning And Evaluation
Stages?
2. What I’m Going To Do.
It’s simple, I’m going to go over my blog, find the
different software and technology I have used, then
write a post on exactly what I did with that technology!
3. Photoshop!
Okay, so my most basic program! I used Photoshop to
create my poster, film logo, company logo and other
small little bits I needed for individual images I may
have needed all over my production and planning. It
hasn’t been used at all in Research or Planning, but it
wasn’t needed to. It was needed to be simple and
easy, so that I could create professional images across
my Portfolio!
4. PowerPoint!
I really feel like I should give this a mention. I must
have done over 10 different PP presentations on my blog
for the main reason that it WORKS! There was no point
in overcomplicating things! PP worked brilliant to show
Research, Planning and Evaluation! There really is no
better software to use to create professional looking
text, in a user friendly format!
5. Final Cut!
Okay, so I used Final Cut to create my trailer and also
edit a little bit of my evaluation videos! It’s easy to use,
was there to use, so why not use it? It made everything
look professional and there was really no hassle with it!
Really enjoyed using the software and would definitely
recommend it to anyone! Granted it takes a long time to
render files, but so do a lot of programs!
6. Wix!
I used Wix Website Builder to create my website
homepage. Now, the whole thing went okay, but there
are definitely some issues with Wix that meant my
website came out not looking as professional as I had
hoped. However, it’s simple to use and was easy to
learn, so it did help me create an okay looking website!
7. Prezi!
For some of my presentations, PP just didn’t seem to cut
it, so I decided to try out Prezi! It was brilliant for
choosing an actor with and generally worked well to
present things on! The only issue was it was a little
complicated and very time consuming, so it wasn’t used
that much, so that more could be done! It was a case of
choosing how it was presented, over how much
information I could give! In this case, giving the most
information was important.
8. Social Networking!
Over the course of my Portfolio, I have used a number of
different Social Networking sites, from Facebook to
Pinterest, to put forward different ways of media and so
I could branch out to the most popular audience! I used
this to advertise and even to just show my finished
products to a greater audience. Pinterest was used for
my own personal planning! Using Social Media is a great
way to keep on top of everything and reach a greater
audience!
9. Software To Hardware!
Currently, I’ve only evaluated the software I used. Next,
I will look at the hardware!
10. NikonD90!
In a previous post, I spoke about how I was going to use
this for everything, well I stuck to my word. Yes, there
were problems with the camera, but overall it worked
very well! I got all my footage with it and managed to
create a half decent image with it!
11. YETI Microphone!
I used the YETI to record the tagline in the film. I used
this, as it’s distinctly for recording spoken language, so I
got a very clear audio for my tagline, which really had a
great effect. I’m happy with how it turned out and
overall very happy with the Yeti.
12. There You Go!
Well there it is! All the Media Technology I used over the
course of my Portfolio! Generally, I’m very happy with
everything I used and if I’ve missed any of it here, it’s
because there was just so much used!
