3. Rape and violence against women are a
massive problem in India. According to the
country's National Crime Record Bureau,
crimes against women have increased by 7.1
percent since 2010. The number of rapes
reported has also risen. Nearly one in three
rape victims in India is under the age of
18. One in 10 are under 14. Every 20 minutes
in India, a woman is raped.

16. We're horrified by news reports of rape in
India and feel lucky we don't live there. But
the country with the highest rate of sexual
assault isn't India.
And yet India only ranks fourth for the number
of rapes reported each year. What country
ranks first? The United States.
In India, a country of over 1.2 billion people,
24,206 rapes were reported in 2011.
The same year in the United States, a nation of
300 million, 83,425 rapes were reported. In the
United States, every 6.2 minutes a woman is
raped.

18.  Istanbul-based Boğaziçi University has
developed a new keyboard with Turkish
letters.
 A group of researchers under the leadership
of Mahmut Ekşioğlu had worked for 3 years
to develop the new keyboard.

19.  Additionally, the Turkish alphabet is different
from its English counterpart, and is thus
concentrated on the right side of the
keyboard.
 With the new E keyboard, Ekşioğlu said
performance in writing rises, and it
provides a more healthy and comfortable
usage.

20.  Taking those into consideration, we obtained
152 keyboard models,” Ekşioğlu said,
adding they had arranged performance and
health experiments for what they considered
to be the three best models.
 Ekşioğlu said making too many tendon
movements can raise the risk of hand-wrist
musculoskeletal disorder.
