This proposal outlines an intervention to improve the decoding skills of a Year 6 student named Noah using a phonics-based program. Noah struggles with reading, which impacts his learning. The intervention will involve one hour daily for 10 days of one-on-one phonics activities including reading, writing, and spelling. Data will be collected through diagnostic testing, interviews, and notes to evaluate Noah's decoding progression. Considerations around consent, privacy, and Noah's right to withdraw were made to ensure the intervention was ethical.
