Kraftwerk Influence
KRAFTWERK
INTRO
This paper follows the impact and significance of electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk. Beginning
with two founding members, Ralf Hutter and Florian Schneider, their classically trained
backgrounds were a contrast to their modern impact that would follow. Looking at the different
instruments used by Ralf and Florian, the rhythmic sounds they produced paved the way for
multiple genres including techno, hip–hop/electro and house, which ultimately started the electro
movement for years to come.
THE EARLY YEARS
Germany, late 1960's, Ralf Hutter and Florian Schneider would meet as students, both studying
classical music at Dusseldorf Conservatory; Florian playing flutes, synthesizers and the electro
violin, Ralf playing electronic organ and several synthesizers. At the time the two were inspired by
avant–garde compositions, however both joining in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In particular from hip–hops 1982 hit by Afrika Bambaataa – "Planet Rock" which uses samples
from Kraftwerk's songs "Trans Europe Express" and "Numbers", helped to ignite New York's electro
society. Other inspired artists include David Bowie; his 1977 album "Heroes" included a tribute
song to Florian entitled "V–2 Schneider". Kraftwerk even had hits within the 70's disco era with
"Trans Europe Express" and "Showroom Dummies."
Around the mid to late 80's three men from Detroit referred to as "The Belleville Three" created a
foundation for a genre called "Techno." This form of dance music which mixed Kraftwerk's
recurring melodies with funky rhythms would become the forefront for dance music worldwide, a
direct attribution to Kraftwerk even though their inspiration would become less apparent. From here,
famous artists and groups such as: Jay–z, The Chemical Brothers, Madonna and Coldplay would go
on to sample from Kraftwerk and continue Ralph and Florian's legacy through the music of

The song is broadly viewed as a critical connection between Seventies disco and the Dance/House

This inspiration of the New York disco clubs coupled with their industrial surroundings resulted in a

Daft Punk Research Paper
The early days of EDM as concert attractions were off to an unsteady start with an audio/visual
setup consisting of little more than a few speakers and a film projector. Although, the shows
changed and matured with the genre, many point to Daft Punk's first appearance at the Coachella
Valley Music and Arts festival in Indio, California, in 2006 – where the duo unveiled their now–
legendary pyramid – as a game–changer. Manning a 24–foot–tall aluminum pyramid of custom–
built supercomputers covered with screens, Daft Punk created what many believe to be the best
electronic show ever assembled, a veritable LED–infused honeycomb pulsing with music and
purpose. The idea for the pyramid stage setup came from Daft Punk's 2005 video for
"Technologic,"which featured a little robot who chants the song's lyrics – which flash on a television
monitor – while sitting in a little red pyramid on a pyramid–themed stage where Bangalter and de
Homem–Christo are playing base guitars. The two thought it would be funny to be perched in a
larger pyramid in a "crazy, tricked out show" while trying to bring a completely new and global
experience to the audience. It was with that mindset that Daft Punk began the Coachella show

Synthesizer in Popular Culture Music
Technology is gradually plays a part of abundance in popular music by continuously emerging songs
with the use of technological devices. With the experimental use of electronic music instrument, it
sparked a new development for artists to blend in synthesizer sound into their compositions and left
a mark in the music industry (Pinch and Bijsterveld, 2003, pp. 536 – 537). Synthesizer played a
crucial role in popular music through the impact of the mechanical instrument to deliver a new
electronic sound to inspire bands like Kraftwerk who played a critical role towards electronic music.
As the instrument matured quickly, it shaped up the modern music world progressively through the
new direction sound to have people forgetting the strange sound it once perceived from the listeners
("Champions of sound; Man and machine in perfect harmony, Kraftwerk were the Beatles with
synthesizers, says Mark Edwards", 2009, p. 29).
Background on synthesizer
The name 'synthesizer' was first developed in 1958 for the RCA Mark II Synthesizer programmed
from paper tape. It was then adopted by several developers with the first commercialized synthesizer
created by Robert Moog in 1964 (Pinch and Bijsterveld, 2003, pp. 547 – 548). The possibility of
using a synthesizer could be endless to composite songs by shaping and exploring the music that
may be limited with two important key components presented behind most synthesizers (Howe,
1972, p. 121). The first component is the explicit controls used

Techno Music Essay
"Techno music" has defined the American music culture since the emergence of rock and roll in the
1950s. Throughout the 1960s, technology evolved and it was accepted and incorporated into various
factions of life and society. With rock and roll being associated with hippies, the middle class in
society wanted to find something that they could relate to and be classified as a higher social class
than the hippies. Musicians and music directors mashed up various sounds and the energetic nature
of rock roll was used as an essential way of keeping the crowd engaged and the musicians lively all
along. Music directors and musicians started using technology to alter the tones and to give more

Instead, it adopted the idea of being enthralled by the beat" (Reynolds and Reynolds 20). Simon
Reynolds explains that the genre's development originated from Detroit, New York, and Chicago,
which spread to other parts of the world in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Juan Atkins and
Richard Davis, the co–creators of Cybotron, were the early pioneers of Detroit techno. Detroit
techno began as an experiment by the DJ's with electronic music and playing it in nightclubs
(Reynolds and Reynolds 6). The type of music influenced a specific group of people and created a
culture. Before its popularity and diversity, techno music was identified with the African–Americans
living in Detroit. African–Americans used the music to express the city's oppressive nature, social
and environmental decay. Many people engaged in techno music as a means of freeing themselves
from the limitations, prejudice, and preconceptions manifested in Detroit's urban environment. Due
to these conditions, a new style of thinking opened up, and people all across the world appreciated
techno music because of the incorporation of electronic sound. Cybotron's album, Enter, released in
1983 incorporates various aspects of techno music that makes it appealing to their listeners' ears.
Mostly, the album is considered as the genesis of Detroit techno because it was founded on the
fundamental principle that electrical instruments are as good as or even better musical allies than
human beings.

The History of Disk Jockey's
In 1935, American commentator Walter Winchell coined the term "disc jockey" (the combination of
"disc", referring to the disc records, and "jockey", which is an operator of a machine) as a
description of radio announcer Martin Block, the first announcer to become a star. While his
audience was awaiting developments in the Lindbergh kidnapping, Block played records and created
the illusion that he was broadcasting from a ballroom, with the nation's top dance bands performing
live. The show, which he called Make Believe Ballroom, was an instant hit. The term "disc jockey"
appeared in print in Variety in 1941.[5]

Turntablism, the art of using turntables not only to play music, but to manipulate sound and create
original music, began to develop.
In 1974, Technics released the first SL–1200 turntable, which evolved into the SL–1200 MK2 in
1979, which as of the mid–2000s remains the industry standard for deejaying. In 1974, German
electronic music band Kraftwerk released the 22–minute song "Autobahn", which takes up the entire
first side of that LP. Years later, Kraftwerk would become a significant influence on hip hop artists
such as Afrika Bambaataa and house music pioneer Frankie Knuckles. During the mid 1970s, Hip
hop music and culture began to emerge, originating among urban African Americans and Latinos in
New York City. The four main elements of hip hop culture were MCing (rapping), DJing, graffiti,
and breakdancing.
In the mid–1970s, the soul–funk blend of dance pop known as Disco took off in the mainstream pop
charts in the United States and Europe, causing discotheques to experience a rebirth. Unlike many
late 1960s, clubs, which featured live bands, discotheques used the DJs selection and mixing of
records as the entertainment. In 1975, Record pools began, enabling disc jockeys access to newer
music from the industry in an efficient method.
In 1976, American DJ, editor, and producer Walter Gibbons remixed "Ten Percent" by Double
Exposure, one of the earliest commercially released 12" singles (aka "maxi–single"). In 1977, Hip

"The Electronic Sound"
In a world of massive technological development, the expansion of the "electric sound" and the
growing cultural society behind it have led to the construction of a number of prominent digitally
devised genres seen worldwide. This new music has taken a rise of popularity at an exponential rate
and has been accepted and adapted culturally in the mass majorities of today's population. Though
the music today has its different and specific sound to it, some of the original qualities still are very
prominent in the genre of the now. To bridge the connection between the initial electronic sound and
the contemporary take on it, one could look at groups who currently practice this music, such as the
University of Pennsylvania's student DJ group dubbed "The Collectve", and compare the quality and
details of their music with artists and groups existing in the birth age of electronic music and
continuing through the its progression until the current state. This, in addition to reviewing the
global expansion and acceptance of the genre worldwide throughout the years, will collectively
work towards summarizing what EDM/house music is as a whole.
To fully understand the present forms of electronic music one must look back at the origins of the
sound entirely. Technically the birth of this music took place in the 1960s upon the creations of the
first electronic synthesizers, specifically the Moog

Music of Africa
African Influence in Hip Hop In the 1970s the shockwave that would be known as hip hop rose from
the economic situation of New York City, especially the black and Latino neighborhoods. However,
while hip hop music was born in the Bronx, it both is part of and speaks to a long line of black
American and African cultural traditions. Many observers also make a connection between rap and
West African griot tradition, the art of wandering storytellers known for their knowledge of local
settings and superior vocal skills. Additionally, rhymed verses are an important part of African
American culture in both the public and private realms. A great influence of rap and hip hop which

This African term is defined as rapping or fast pace speaking. This can involve rhyming patterns or
jokingly clowning or making fun of one another. This is where America gets the term "Roasting"
from and many know it as verbal battle between individuals mostly for entertainment and fun. For
its musical grooves, early hip hop incorporated elements of the party–based sound–system
subculture popular at the time in Jamaica. DJ Kool Herc also brought a form of the verbal art of
"toasting" to his parties. Jamaican DJs excited crowds by making up short raps to the beat of music,
adding "vibes" to the party. The toasts often referred to people in the crowd or to events at the party
itself. Dodd took rapping to Jamaica and Herc brought toasting back to the United States, where it
quickly became known as rap, the verbal side of hip hop music.
Afrika "Bam" Bambaataa fused the R&B music of James Brown, the funk of George Clinton, and
even the sometimes synthetic and cold European electronic music of groups like Kraftwerk to create
songs like "Planet Rock" and "Looking for the Perfect Beat," and helped deepen the musical roots of

The Origins and Developments of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) and Contemporary Nightlife
Musical Culture
The origins and developments of Electronic Dance Music initially started with the development of
the synthesizer. It was with these first uses of synthesized sounds that prompted the development of
sequencers, sampling, effects processing, musical instrument digital interface (MIDI), use of
computer technology, hard disk recording systems and modern day virtual studio technology
(VST's). These all fundamentally build the genre of electronic music, as we know it today. The
development of this new technology brought many new genres to music, mostly popular, Electronic
Dance Music being one of these.

At the time, British inventor, Peter Zinovieff and American Composer, Raymond Scott were both
looking into basic electronic sequencing, however it was Buchla that had the initial breakthrough.
Before then, artists were manually cutting up and splicing tape together to achieve sequences and
Buchla found an electronic alternative and soon developed his electronic sequencer. This meant that
artists would no longer need to go through the time consuming process of cutting up tape for
sequencing. Buchla said," you could simply take my sequencer and set the time and the pitch for
each interval. So that required, of course, a voltage–controlled oscillator, and from then it led to a
bunch of other ideas" (Pinch, 2004, p.40).
It was after the moog synthesizer that companies and inventors, much like Buchla, had started to
look at other ways of evolving electronics into music. The Minimoog was a monophonic instrument,
and instruments like the APR odyssey were soon after introduced that allowed duophony possible on
synthesizers. The APR odyssey mk I was released in 1972, and was an aesthetically pleasing
duophonic synthesizer, making it easy for a performer to tweak the parameters of the synthesized
sound with sliders. By the mid 1970's, well–known companies like Sequential Circuits and Yamaha
had developed more advanced keyboard matrices, allowing polyphony to be introduced to the
electronic music scene. One

to information overload, cyber–hacking, and even WiFi radiation–based diseases because of
"electromagnetic sensitivity."
It's difficult to imagine technology as an extension of our bodies, of ourselves. We use technology,

Kraftwerk's Electronic Dance Music
Intro(set out the topic and its importance. outline the main argument) 100
EDM, known as electronic dance music, is a term that covers a wide range of different genres of
music, all of which is created by using electronic instruments. There are numerous electronics
instruments that are used to do so such as synthesizers, drum machines, sequencers, turntable and
more. The 1970s marked the beginning of modern dance music, the 1980s marked its commercial
breakthrough, but it wasn't until the 1990s that electronic music grew into the massive genre it is
today. In the 2000's EDM has become one of the biggest and most successful music genres. With
new technology being made EDM has the potential to create an experience like no other and lead

"The incoming inclusion of Oculus Rift technology, it's clear that music festivals are becoming a
breeding ground for the experimentation and implementation of brand new technological ideas."
(2015, Rubinsein) Technology has been able to create a virtual tour of the music festival
TommorrowWorld using the latest Oculus Rift hardware. SFX have just begun developing the
product, which allow you to pilot between various environments by focusing towards different areas
as if you were there. "Last year, the company teamed up with the virtual tour startup YouVisit in an
attempt to extend the festival experience to those at home and to those who want to remember it."
(2015, Rubinsein). Audience will be able to explore the crowds and other areas of the festival.
It won't take long until everyone with a Oculus Rift will be able to set up their accounts and have the
chance to be transported into the festival experience from their own couch, reaching for popcorn and
drinks instead of lasers. This technology allows people who can't attend the event due to different
reasons to attend it in a whole new way. "SFX is constantly working to extend the festival
experience to those that can't physically be there, or to those who were and want to remember it."

Twentieth Century Music Analysis
The twentieth century impacted human kind in ways that those alive before the year 1900 never
could have imagined. Those living during the final hundred years of the millennium saw incredible
advances in science and technology that elevated our quality of life to the standard we enjoy today.
Like so many other trades, the music industry benefited greatly from these new innovations. In turn,
this new technology altered the sound of music: changing how it was performed, recorded, and sold.
Glenn McDonald of Echo Nest tracked nine audio attributes across seventy years of music to
identify trends in music that were changing. What he found was music became less organic, less
bouncy, and less acoustic, while it gained accuracy, energy, sound, ... Show more content on

It is these new ways of producing or generating sound that appeal and gain credibility in the eyes of
the public that are responsible for the change in popular music. The growing trends in overall speed,
energy, noise level, and accuracy of the beat can be attributed to innovations such as the magnetic
tape recorder, electric guitar, synthesizer, and many others not listed in this paper. As a consequence
of this new technology, we lose some of the raw sound of the past like the blemishes that can be
found in older recordings and the slower and choppier sound of the popular music of yesterday. This
sound is sometimes recreated with things like acoustic covers to songs and albums, but it no longer
dominates pop charts. What has remained constant throughout the history of popular music is the
profit–oriented approach the music industry takes in its production and promotion of

Why Nhs ( National Health Service ) Organisations Need...
NHS has undergone many changes since its inception in 1948 and it has become a cliché to say that
only thing which is constant in the NHS is change. There are many drivers of these changes–the
external and internal, the patient led, the policy led and also the changes driven by politics
(Buchanan et al, 2013) and finances (DOH, 2010). This essay will critically analyse models of
change and how they are relevant to my organisation (NHS). This essay will also critically evaluate
human dimensions of change and how they impact on success and implementation of organisational
change.
Why NHS (National Health Service) Organisations Need Change?
Usually a need to change a service is identified, based on feed–back from staff or patients, though
there are numerous examples in the NHS when the managers or ministers (Darzi, 2008, Francis
2013) were forced to take decisions because of critical incidents or massive failure noted by an
external review of an NHS Trust (Francis, 2013, Berwick, 2013). Lord Darzi's (2008) NHS Next
Stage Review described a model of clinician led change leadership in the NHS (The King Fund,
2011), by doing so Lord Darzi aspired to provide frontline staff with greater freedom to make
positive changes to deliver best quality of care.
In a multilayered and complex organisation like NHS usually big changes are driven by national
level policies or enquiries (Simon, 1979). For example Francis (2013) indicated that there were
massive failures of leadership and

Electronic Music In The 1960s Essay
Before the 1960s, music was primarily listened to, not dance to. However, there was a dance craze
during the sixties due to the rock and roll influence, thus dance moves such as "The Twist," "The
Mashed Potato," and "The Swim" were created. In the late 1966s, the Theremin was used in the
number one trending song, "Good Vibrations" by The Beach Boys and also in the famous Star Trek
theme song. The Theremin was an instrument that produces sound when the musician moved their
hand by each antenna. Synthesizers are electronic instruments that is able to produce a variety of
sounds which are then transmitted to loud speakers. Though the synthesizer was used before the
Theremin, it was not common due to its bulky size. However, in the 1970s, the ... Show more

As mentioned before, the synthesizer was not commonly used in the 1960s but by 1970 the use of
synthesizers hit the scene, and many music group used it such as Kraftwerk. Kraftwerk, a German
experimental rock group, has the most influence on EDM as they are the group who is considered to
perfect electronic music and is the first fully electronic artists. Donna Summer's "I Feel Love"also
played a part in electronic music as it was one of the first records to utilize the potential of
electronics. Another contributor to the rise of EDM was at the dance scene: the clubs and the disc
jockeys. The Warehouse, a club in Chicago, was one of the two major club to help EDM's start, and
the dominant DJ in this club was Frankie Knuckles, the "Father of Chicago House." Paradise
Garage, a club in New York City, keep disco alive and started a new genre called "Garage House"
which was a subgenre of electronic music created by the main DJ in this club is Larry Levan. From
the 1980s to the present, EDM rests in the DJ's spinning and the clubs. Since the disco craze was
dying down with Disco Demolition Night, DJs struggled to make money, so they tried to make new
spinning techniques and make their records sound different. This struggle gave birth to many genres

Kraftwerk Influence

  • 1. Kraftwerk Influence KRAFTWERK INTRO This paper follows the impact and significance of electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk. Beginning with two founding members, Ralf Hutter and Florian Schneider, their classically trained backgrounds were a contrast to their modern impact that would follow. Looking at the different instruments used by Ralf and Florian, the rhythmic sounds they produced paved the way for multiple genres including techno, hip–hop/electro and house, which ultimately started the electro movement for years to come. THE EARLY YEARS Germany, late 1960's, Ralf Hutter and Florian Schneider would meet as students, both studying classical music at Dusseldorf Conservatory; Florian playing flutes, synthesizers and the electro violin, Ralf playing electronic organ and several synthesizers. At the time the two were inspired by avant–garde compositions, however both joining in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In particular from hip–hops 1982 hit by Afrika Bambaataa – "Planet Rock" which uses samples from Kraftwerk's songs "Trans Europe Express" and "Numbers", helped to ignite New York's electro society. Other inspired artists include David Bowie; his 1977 album "Heroes" included a tribute song to Florian entitled "V–2 Schneider". Kraftwerk even had hits within the 70's disco era with "Trans Europe Express" and "Showroom Dummies." Around the mid to late 80's three men from Detroit referred to as "The Belleville Three" created a foundation for a genre called "Techno." This form of dance music which mixed Kraftwerk's recurring melodies with funky rhythms would become the forefront for dance music worldwide, a direct attribution to Kraftwerk even though their inspiration would become less apparent. From here, famous artists and groups such as: Jay–z, The Chemical Brothers, Madonna and Coldplay would go on to sample from Kraftwerk and continue Ralph and Florian's legacy through the music of ... Essay On Blue Monday IT WAS A BLUE MONDAY INDEED The movie 24 Hour Party People pointed out that Blue Monday is perpetually the best selling 12inch single in Britain, with 1.16 million copies sold there; and at 3 million copies sold worldwide (a claim which is difficult to verify), which accounts the rise of Factory records (Marley,P 1993). And unfortunately, due to Factory Records not being a part of the British Phonographic Industry at the time of Blue Monday's original release, it could not be eligible for an official gold disc. The packaging of the record had been designed by former label partner and renowned graphic designer, Peter Saville. Daft Punk Research Paper The early days of EDM as concert attractions were off to an unsteady start with an audio/visual setup consisting of little more than a few speakers and a film projector. Although, the shows changed and matured with the genre, many point to Daft Punk's first appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival in Indio, California, in 2006 – where the duo unveiled their now– legendary pyramid – as a game–changer. Manning a 24–foot–tall aluminum pyramid of custom– built supercomputers covered with screens, Daft Punk created what many believe to be the best electronic show ever assembled, a veritable LED–infused honeycomb pulsing with music and purpose. The idea for the pyramid stage setup came from Daft Punk's 2005 video for "Technologic,"which featured a little robot who chants the song's lyrics – which flash on a television monitor – while sitting in a little red pyramid on a pyramid–themed stage where Bangalter and de Homem–Christo are playing base guitars. The two thought it would be funny to be perched in a larger pyramid in a "crazy, tricked out show" while trying to bring a completely new and global experience to the audience. With the experimental use of electronic music instrument, it sparked a new development for artists to blend in synthesizer sound into their compositions and left a mark in the music industry (Pinch and Bijsterveld, 2003, pp. 536 – 537). Synthesizer played a crucial role in popular music through the impact of the mechanical instrument to deliver a new electronic sound to inspire bands like Kraftwerk who played a critical role towards electronic music. As the instrument matured quickly, it shaped up the modern music world progressively through the new direction sound to have people forgetting the strange sound it once perceived from the listeners ("Champions of sound; Man and machine in perfect harmony, Kraftwerk were the Beatles with synthesizers, says Mark Edwards", 2009, p. 29). Background on synthesizer The name 'synthesizer' was first developed in 1958 for the RCA Mark II Synthesizer programmed from paper tape. It was then adopted by several developers with the first commercialized synthesizer created by Robert Moog in 1964 (Pinch and Bijsterveld, 2003, pp. 547 – 548). Throughout the 1960s, technology evolved and it was accepted and incorporated into various factions of life and society. With rock and roll being associated with hippies, the middle class in society wanted to find something that they could relate to and be classified as a higher social class than the hippies. Musicians and music directors mashed up various sounds and the energetic nature of rock roll was used as an essential way of keeping the crowd engaged and the musicians lively all along. Simon Reynolds explains that the genre's development originated from Detroit, New York, and Chicago, which spread to other parts of the world in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Juan Atkins and Richard Davis, the co–creators of Cybotron, were the early pioneers of Detroit techno. Detroit techno began as an experiment by the DJ's with electronic music and playing it in nightclubs (Reynolds and Reynolds 6). The type of music influenced a specific group of people and created a culture. Before its popularity and diversity, techno music was identified with the African–Americans living in Detroit. African–Americans used the music to express the city's oppressive nature, social and environmental decay. Many people engaged in techno music as a means of freeing themselves from the limitations, prejudice, and preconceptions manifested in Detroit's urban environment. Due to these conditions, a new style of thinking opened up, and people all across the world appreciated techno music because of the incorporation of electronic sound. Cybotron's album, Enter, released in 1983 incorporates various aspects of techno music that makes it appealing to their listeners' ears. Mostly, the album is considered as the genesis of Detroit techno because it was founded on the fundamental principle that electrical instruments are as good as or even better musical allies than human beings. ... The History of Disk Jockey's In 1935, American commentator Walter Winchell coined the term "disc jockey" (the combination of "disc", referring to the disc records, and "jockey", which is an operator of a machine) as a description of radio announcer Martin Block, the first announcer to become a star. While his audience was awaiting developments in the Lindbergh kidnapping, Block played records and created the illusion that he was broadcasting from a ballroom, with the nation's top dance bands performing live. The show, which he called Make Believe Ballroom, was an instant hit. Jerrette Lee II Professor Neterer Music 050 6 December 2016 "The Electronic Sound" In a world of massive technological development, the expansion of the "electric sound" and the growing cultural society behind it have led to the construction of a number of prominent digitally devised genres seen worldwide. This new music has taken a rise of popularity at an exponential rate and has been accepted and adapted culturally in the mass majorities of today's population. Though the music today has its different and specific sound to it, some of the original qualities still are very prominent in the genre of the now. To bridge the connection between the initial electronic sound and the contemporary take on it, one could look at groups who currently practice this music, such as the University of Pennsylvania's student DJ group dubbed "The Collectve", and compare the quality and details of their music with artists and groups existing in the birth age of electronic music and continuing through the its progression until the current state. This, in addition to reviewing the global expansion and acceptance of the genre worldwide throughout the years, will collectively work towards summarizing what EDM/house music is as a whole. To fully understand the present forms of electronic music one must look back at the origins of the sound entirely. The Origins and Developments of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) and Contemporary Nightlife Musical Culture The origins and developments of Electronic Dance Music initially started with the development of the synthesizer. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At the time, British inventor, Peter Zinovieff and American Composer, Raymond Scott were both looking into basic electronic sequencing, however it was Buchla that had the initial breakthrough. Before then, artists were manually cutting up and splicing tape together to achieve sequences and Buchla found an electronic alternative and soon developed his electronic sequencer. This meant that artists would no longer need to go through the time consuming process of cutting up tape for sequencing. Buchla said," you could simply take my sequencer and set the time and the pitch for each interval. So that required, of course, a voltage–controlled oscillator, and from then it led to a bunch of other ideas" (Pinch, 2004, p.40). It was after the moog synthesizer that companies and inventors, much like Buchla, had started to look at other ways of evolving electronics into music. The Minimoog was a monophonic instrument, and instruments like the APR odyssey were soon after introduced that allowed duophony possible on synthesizers. The APR odyssey mk I was released in 1972, and was an aesthetically pleasing duophonic synthesizer, making it easy for a performer to tweak the parameters of the synthesized sound with sliders. • 42. Why Nhs ( National Health Service ) Organisations Need... NHS has undergone many changes since its inception in 1948 and it has become a cliché to say that only thing which is constant in the NHS is change. There are many drivers of these changes–the external and internal, the patient led, the policy led and also the changes driven by politics (Buchanan et al, 2013) and finances (DOH, 2010). This essay will critically analyse models of change and how they are relevant to my organisation (NHS). This essay will also critically evaluate human dimensions of change and how they impact on success and implementation of organisational change. For example Francis (2013) indicated that there were massive failures of leadership and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Another contributor to the rise of EDM was at the dance scene: the clubs and the disc jockeys. The Warehouse, a club in Chicago, was one of the two major club to help EDM's start, and the dominant DJ in this club was Frankie Knuckles, the "Father of Chicago House."
