get footage to display entire artwork (use fast-forward

To shoot at the everfresh studio where makatron is based
in abbotsford – good way to see him in his element – get
footage of his tools (spraycans, stencils etc) – would
provide an ideal backdrop for interview setting as well
Would be great to roam with makatron for a day – watch

8. Interview talent
Ideally we would need to interview Makatron –
preferably on location and at his studio in
Abbotsford – I have already communicated with

not have any murals planned over the next two
weeks but is willing to organize one

10. Who is the piece releva
to?While still a relatively
underground & cult
artist, Makatron has designed
and implemented many of
Melbourne’s most iconic outdoor
landscapes.
His ideas have received
international
attention, although many
Melbournian’s would be
unbeknownst to his work .
11. Who is the piece
relevant to?• Makatron challenges the notion of
traditional art forms, of street
art, and of being an artist in
general.
• He works across a number of
different mediums to engage all
sections of the communities he
works in , not just traditional art
enthusiasts.
• By engaging in these varying
mediums, Makatron engages with
a varying audience, one that
appeals to the youth of
Melbourne.
Also, Makatron targets a
younger audience
through various forms of
social media, which he
uses to showcase his
ever developing work.
12. What Impact?
• We hope this episode sparks some recognition for Makatron, but on a wider
scale, more recognition for the place this medium has on contemporary Melbourne
culture.
• We feel that large scale works such as Makatron’s will form some of the great pieces
of the next decade.
• Our episode wishes to promote a side of Melbourne that is seldomly seen in the
current media landscape.
13. Demographic&
Delivery
• Makatron actively engages with
with his Social Media followers
across the globe
• We feel by engaging in this social
media community, we can push
our episode to a community who
will spread it.
• Through the use of video, which
Makatron himself actively
uses, we hope to enagage these
fans through an alternative look
at the artist.
• Makatron engages many art
loving communities, not in
the least Melbourne, who has
always supported alternative
forms of artwork.
• However, we feel that our
episode will resonate with
young Melbournian’s keen to
develop their love of art and
Melbourne Culture.

Throughout the production of our
webisode we will regularly post videos and
pictures of our ‘Makatron’s Melbourne’
journey
It is clear that Makatron uses Instagram as a
platform to connect with his
audience, which gives us confidence to
assume that we can target his followers via
Instagram, using relevant hashtags
16. To maximize the effectiveness
of our Twitter account we
understand that to reach a
widespread audience base we
must ensure that we use the
hashtag #makatron
From our research when
auctioning off hashtags on
Twitter, most users were
inclined to use the hashtag
#makatron, as opposed to
#mikemaka or #mikemakatron
which only produced two
search results
17. We aim to spread these videos
and pictures from our production
via a newly created blog
Blog to be titled
“#MikeMaka’sMelbourne”
Blog will document our journey
through the production phase of
our webisode until its completion

various equipment we plan to use
throughout the production of our piece.
