This document provides an overview of the Catholic theological concept of the human heart. It discusses how God created humans with hearts larger than sensual pleasure, work or domination. It summarizes the biblical story of creation, the fall of humanity and temptation of Adam and Eve. It then discusses how Jesus Christ acts as the "New Adam" and "Prodigal Adam" to renew humanity. The document ends by discussing how God wishes to give people the heart of Christ to accomplish his work in the world.
The document discusses the importance of knowing God as our Father. It states that as we come to know God as our Father, His nature will be imparted in us and we will grow in love, confidence, assurance and faith in Him. It also discusses how God created humanity in His image to show His love, how He meets our needs, and how He provides opportunities for repentance even when we sin. The overarching message is that God loves us unconditionally as our Father.
God created the heavens and the earth over six days. On each day, God created a new part of the world: light, sky, land, plants, stars, animals, and finally humans. God created the first humans, Adam and Eve, and saw that all He had made was good. On the seventh day, God rested from His work of creation, making the seventh day holy. The creation story establishes God as the all-powerful creator and that the world and humanity were made to depend on and reflect God.
All things came to be when "In the beginning, God created" everything in six days, with man and woman as the crown of His creation. God constantly watches over you and sends his angels to protect you. God causes all plants to grow and provides food for every living creature, demonstrating his ongoing care for his creation.

God's Plan for Us Begins with Creation - SFX RCIA 2014 - Luke Reutens' presen...Luke Reutens
God's plan for us, begins with creation; a presentation on the key aspects of Catholic teaching, in Divine Revelation, as revealed in the first two chapters of Genesis, in Holy Scripture.
1. Jesus uses the story of the bronze serpent from Numbers 21 to teach Nicodemus about salvation. As the Israelites were saved by looking at the serpent on the pole, so people are saved by believing in Jesus who was lifted up on the cross.
2. Anyone who believes in Jesus will not perish but have eternal life, just as the Israelites who looked at the serpent lived. Belief requires a spiritual transformation or new birth.
3. Jesus is referring to himself as the Son of Man who was lifted up to save all those who believe in him, in the same way the Israelites were saved by gazing at the bronze serpent.

TMIY - Becoming a Man after God's Own Heart - Week 6PDEI
This document discusses attaining clarity of thought through principles found in scripture and Mother Teresa's example. The clarifying principle is that God is found in communion, dwelling in human relationships like marriage and family. To have integrity of action means contemplating Christ's face in others and manifesting him to one's own family through service as Mother Teresa did. Discussion next week will focus on developing integrity of action in marriage and family through God's presence within them.
Jesus Christ is the only way for humanity to be saved from their spiritually dead state resulting from the sin of Adam and Eve. Without accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, people feel empty inside despite worldly successes. The Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory, but Jesus died for our sins so we can be forgiven and born again by accepting him. True salvation comes only through believing in Jesus, as he is the sole mediator between God and man.
This document contains lecture notes on the topic of the Fall from a Christian worldview perspective. It begins by defining the Fall as the biblical story where Adam and Eve disobeyed God and sinned by eating the forbidden fruit when tempted by the serpent. It then discusses key aspects of the story, including how Adam and Eve were tempted in the same ways that Jesus was later tempted in the wilderness. The consequences of the Fall are then listed as expulsion from the garden, a corrupted earth, the introduction of conflict, and humanity becoming sinful and alienated from God. Sin is defined, and different Hebrew and Greek words for sin in the Bible are explained. The lecture concludes by drawing an analogy between the Fall narrative and a
The document provides details about the first seven chapters of Genesis in the Old Testament. It describes God's creation of the world in seven days, the creation of Adam and Eve and their placement in the Garden of Eden. It then summarizes their disobedience and fall from grace, resulting in God's punishment. The document next discusses Cain and Abel, the first children of Adam and Eve. Finally, it previews God's decision to send a great flood to destroy the earth's population due to their wickedness, and his instructions to Noah to build an ark to survive the flood with his family.
Creative Differences in Marriage (Gen. 2:18-23)CompassChurch
The story of the first marriage as described in the Bible is rejected by many today as a myth that has no bearing on 21st century relationships in a sophisticated society. This sermon will challenge that notion and present the marriage between Adam and Eve as God's design for all marriages. The creative differences God made are good, true, and beautiful.
The document provides an overview and analysis of Numbers 21:4-9 and John 3:1-17. It summarizes that:
1) Numbers 21 describes God sending fiery serpents to punish the Israelites for complaining, and commanding Moses to lift up a bronze serpent so those who looked at it would live;
2) Jesus references this story in teaching Nicodemus about being "born again" through believing in the Son of Man being lifted up, just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness;
3) Jesus' crucifixion fulfills this symbolism, as He was lifted up so that all who believe in Him will have eternal life and be saved from the penalty
The document discusses two families from the Bible - the first family of Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel, and the holy family of Joseph, Mary and Jesus. Key lessons from the first family include observing God-given roles, following God's rules, and the possibility of redemption for problematic families. Key lessons from the holy family include carefully observing roles and God's commands, and redemption flowing to humankind through Jesus. The conclusion emphasizes that families are strong when they follow God's design, obey his commands, and surrender weaknesses to Jesus.
God created the heavens, earth, and everything in it over seven days. He created man in His own image to have dominion over creation. The Bible says God carefully formed man from dust and breathed life into him, making man unique from all other living creatures. It emphasizes that each individual is significant to God and He has purpose for each person's life.
1. God created humans in His image to resemble Him in character, plurality, purpose, and relationships. Both men and women reflect God.
2. Humans were created to represent God by multiplying, filling the earth, caring for creation, and having dominion as God's representatives.
3. Being made in God's image means humans are exalted over nature, designed for God's glory and joy, and blessed with what they need to fulfill their purpose of representing the Creator.
The document discusses the holy nature of God, focusing on God's simplicity, unity, and Trinity. It provides three key points:
1) God is simple, without parts and indivisible, though existing as three persons in the Trinity. He is one being in essence according to scripture and church fathers.
2) God is one, not many gods, as shown by scripture calling him the one God and creator. Plotinus' philosophy on the unity and diversity of "The One" is referenced.
3) God exists as the Trinity - one what but three whos. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are shown throughout the Old and New Testaments. Jesus compares himself to
This document summarizes a church sermon about the Kingdom of God. It discusses how in the beginning, God created man to rule over the earth and live in relationship with God, man, creation, and himself in the Garden of Eden, representing God's kingdom on earth. However, man fell from this paradise through sin, breaking his relationships and subjecting himself to death, toil, and a fallen world. The sermon then discusses how the gospel message of Jesus Christ offers salvation from this fallen state and a restoration of God's kingdom through committing one's life to Christ. It announces an upcoming sermon series on the Kingdom of God to explore this topic in more depth.
This document contains a lesson on Sabbath that answers three questions: why we must keep Sabbath, how we must keep Sabbath, and how Sabbath is related to the end times. It discusses that Sabbath must be kept because of creation, redemption from sin, and sanctification by God. Jesus showed how to keep Sabbath by prioritizing human needs over strict rules. Sabbath will be a point of contention in the end times as it signifies loyalty to God as Creator versus evolutionary beliefs. Keeping Sabbath rejects false theories and remembers that God sanctifies believers.

God made the world and everything in it. God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient - all-powerful, never far away, and knows everything. God created the world in seven days and rested on the seventh day. Adam and Eve were the first humans, created in God's image. They sinned by disobeying God and eating the forbidden fruit. This brought sin, shame, and death into the world. Cain killed his brother Abel out of jealousy, becoming the first murderer. Noah built an ark to God's specifications and was saved along with his family from the great flood that destroyed the rest of the world. Abraham obeyed God's call to leave his home and was
The document discusses what it means to be "in the spirit" based on biblical passages. It provides definitions of key Greek words related to spirit and examines what scripture says about the holy spirit, unclean spirits, and being led by the spirit. It explores Jesus' teachings on the spirit and lists the fruits of the spirit. The overall message is that being "in the spirit" means having God's spirit dwelling within through obedience to Jesus, which produces holy experiences and Christ-like virtues in one's life.
The document discusses the Holy Trinity - that God exists as three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) in one Godhead. It provides several key points:
1) The three persons are each fully God. Scripture presents the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as divine.
2) There is one God, not three. The persons are distinct yet equal, sharing the same essence, will, and attributes.
3) The doctrine is summarized as: God is three persons; each person is fully God; none is inferior; they are not three gods but one God.
The document summarizes key details from Genesis chapters 1 and 2 about God's creation of the heavens, earth, plants, animals, man, and woman. It also provides many references from other books of the Bible that allude to or directly reference details from the Genesis creation accounts, showing they were considered literal and historically true. The document emphasizes that correctly understanding humanity's origins as described in Genesis has important implications for who we are, why we exist, and what hope we can have.
God Declares Us Righteous Unsheathing His Word Against All Evil
The document provides a summary of the readings for the Twenty-First Sunday After Trinity which include passages from Genesis, Ephesians, and John. It notes that God created all things through His spoken Word and His Word still accomplishes what it says, such as healing the nobleman's son. The summary emphasizes that in baptism, absolution, and communion, God declares His life-giving Word which declares us righteous and defeats evil.
The document summarizes key points from Genesis chapters 1 and 2 about the creation of the world and humanity. It discusses how the two creation stories in Genesis provide different but complementary details. The creation account is foundational to the Bible and subsequent scripture references and builds upon this story. Understanding our origins as described in Genesis is important for comprehending who we are, why we exist, and finding hope.

Genesis chapter 1 describes God's creation of the world over six days. Each day, God brought more order and life to the formless earth. God created light, sky, land, plants, stars, sea life, birds, animals, and finally humans, who God created in His own image. The chapter shows that God carefully and purposefully created an orderly world and all that exists in it.

The document discusses the concept of free will according to Christian theology. It provides three examples of areas where humans have free will: 1) to decide who or what to serve (God or other gods/idols), 2) to decide whether to obey or disobey God's commands, and 3) to decide between choosing life or death. It then discusses five theological positions associated with Arminianism: that salvation depends on faith, the atonement is sufficient for all but applied to believers, no one can save themselves without God's help, God's grace is the sole source of salvation but can be resisted, and God's grace enables believers to resist sin though salvation can be lost by turning away from God.

Why Psychological Safety Matters for Software Teams - ACE 2024 - Ben Linders.pdfBen Linders
Psychological safety in teams is important; team members must feel safe and able to communicate and collaborate effectively to deliver value. It’s also necessary to build long-lasting teams since things will happen and relationships will be strained.
But, how safe is a team? How can we determine if there are any factors that make the team unsafe or have an impact on the team’s culture?
In this mini-workshop, we’ll play games for psychological safety and team culture utilizing a deck of coaching cards, The Psychological Safety Cards. We will learn how to use gamification to gain a better understanding of what’s going on in teams. Individuals share what they have learned from working in teams, what has impacted the team’s safety and culture, and what has led to positive change.
Different game formats will be played in groups in parallel. Examples are an ice-breaker to get people talking about psychological safety, a constellation where people take positions about aspects of psychological safety in their team or organization, and collaborative card games where people work together to create an environment that fosters psychological safety.

Gamify it until you make it Improving Agile Development and Operations with ...Ben Linders
So many challenges, so little time. While we’re busy developing software and keeping it operational, we also need to sharpen the saw, but how? Gamification can be a way to look at how you’re doing and find out where to improve. It’s a great way to have everyone involved and get the best out of people.
In this presentation, Ben Linders will show how playing games with the DevOps coaching cards can help to explore your current development and deployment (DevOps) practices and decide as a team what to improve or experiment with.
The games that we play are based on an engagement model. Instead of imposing change, the games enable people to pull in ideas for change and apply those in a way that best suits their collective needs.
By playing games, you can learn from each other. Teams can use games, exercises, and coaching cards to discuss values, principles, and practices, and share their experiences and learnings.
Different game formats can be used to share experiences on DevOps principles and practices and explore how they can be applied effectively. This presentation provides an overview of playing formats and will inspire you to come up with your own formats.

1.) Introduction
Our Movement is not new; it is the same as it was for Freedom, Justice, and Equality since we were labeled as slaves. However, this movement at its core must entail economics.
2.) Historical Context
This is the same movement because none of the previous movements, such as boycotts, were ever completed. For some, maybe, but for the most part, it’s just a place to keep your stable until you’re ready to assimilate them into your system. The rest of the crabs are left in the world’s worst parts, begging for scraps.
3.) Economic Empowerment
Our Movement aims to show that it is indeed possible for the less fortunate to establish their economic system. Everyone else – Caucasian, Asian, Mexican, Israeli, Jews, etc. – has their systems, and they all set up and usurp money from the less fortunate. So, the less fortunate buy from every one of them, yet none of them buy from the less fortunate. Moreover, the less fortunate really don’t have anything to sell.
4.) Collaboration with Organizations
Our Movement will demonstrate how organizations such as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, National Urban League, Black Lives Matter, and others can assist in creating a much more indestructible Black Wall Street.
5.) Vision for the Future
Our Movement will not settle for less than those who came before us and stopped before the rights were equal. The economy, jobs, healthcare, education, housing, incarceration – everything is unfair, and what isn’t is rigged for the less fortunate to fail, as evidenced in society.
6.) Call to Action
Our movement has started and implemented everything needed for the advancement of the economic system. There are positions for only those who understand the importance of this movement, as failure to address it will continue the degradation of the people deemed less fortunate.
No, this isn’t Noah’s Ark, nor am I a Prophet. I’m just a man who wrote a couple of books, created a magnificent website: http://www.thearkproject.llc, and who truly hopes to try and initiate a truly sustainable economic system for deprived people. We may not all have the same beliefs, but if our methods are tried, tested, and proven, we can come together and help others. My website: http://www.thearkproject.llc is very informative and considerably controversial. Please check it out, and if you are afraid, leave immediately; it’s no place for cowards. The last Prophet said: “Whoever among you sees an evil action, then let him change it with his hand [by taking action]; if he cannot, then with his tongue [by speaking out]; and if he cannot, then, with his heart – and that is the weakest of faith.” [Sahih Muslim] If we all, or even some of us, did this, there would be significant change. We are able to witness it on small and grand scales, for example, from climate control to business partnerships. I encourage, invite, and challenge you all to support me by visiting my website.
