1. Ambassador/Presentation Coordinator- 20 hour a week hourly role in the NC State Career
Development Center.Begins in June 2014.Ideal for a mature professional or graduate student who
desires a challenging part time career opportunity designing/ managing student programs and
presenting career seminars.
- Manage the CDC student ambassador group (approximately 20 - 30 student volunteers).
- Coordinate bi-weekly training meetings for group, focused on career presentationtopics (resume,
interviews, social media presence etc), presentation skills, professional development, and other
relevant material
- Update/ maintain on line training resource web page for ambassadors
- Coordinate and manage coverage for the professional development series: LAUNCH.
Attendworkshops and present materials with Ambassadors. Critique ambassador performance.
Ensure ambassadors covering each LAUNCH workshop have needed materials, information, and are
well-prepared
- Manage incoming career presentation requests for Ambassadors from housing, Greek life, student
groups, and CDC staff members. Confirm requests in a timely manner, and ensure that ambassadors
covering each event have needed materials, information, and are well-prepared.
- Present creative career outreach workshops (including resume, interview, social media and job
search preparation) sessions independently or with staff or ambassadors. (includes evening hours)
- Conduct mid- and end-of-semester evaluations for CDC ambassadors
- Assist with recruitment/ interview process for new ambassadors each semester
- Assist with planning of training retreats, held once each semester, for ambassador group
- Mentor Ambassadors and challenge them to reach specific measurable goals to support the mission
of the CDC.
- Track results of the Ambassador program and assess outcomes for future improvements.

Strong computer and social media skills - Microsoft Office Suite required, Adobe Creative Suite
preferred, Wolfware learning management system preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required and graduate training preferred in counseling/higher ed/management or
related field.
