Sacramento Campus Enrollment Team Leader
PURPOSE: The Enrollment Team Leader will focus on increasing new student enrollment on
campus by building relationships with prospective students, causing them to become
applicants, and to eventually matriculate. He/she will also coordinate recruitment through
local church, para-church and educational institutions, overseeing the deployment of any other
enrollment counselors hired at the Sacramento campus.
ACCOUNTABILITY:TheEnrollmentTeam Leader willworkunder the direction of,and will be
accountable to, the Western Seminary Directorof Enrollment Management. When applicable,
collateral reporting to the Sacramento Campus Executive Dean will occur.
HOURS:40hrs/wk(1.0 FTE),primarily during daily officehours with occasionalevening or weekend
recruitment events
REGULAR DUTIES:
1. Respond to requests for information from prospective students, and initiate and record
personal communication with prospective students from all degree programs
2. Oversee the collectionof admission materials from all applicants, and periodically update the
applicant on their progress
3. Strategic planning with the Director of Enrollment Management to increase and improve
promotional and recruitment efforts
4. Pursue new risk/growth related efforts to increase enrollment and public awareness.
5. Courting new students at localchurches, external conferences, and events
6. Identify and attain new growth-based application goals for each semester, and report them to
Director of Enrollment Management
7. Connect in a monthly Enrollment professional development team with staff at other campuses
8. Supervise and meet regularly with any Sacramento enrollment counselors toensure effective
deployment of resources and personnel
9. Communicate with the campus staff about their involvement in recruitment initiatives and
events
10. Develop and coordinate on-site recruitment events several times each academic year
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a bachelor degree (preferably attending Western Seminary as a student).
Ability to communicate well orally and in written form.
Familiarity with recruiting, sales and marketing strategies.
Ability to workwell as a team player and a self-starter.
High level of proficiency withIBM-compatible computers (competency in Windows 10)
Proficiency withMicrosoftOffice365, preference forexperience with Adobe InDesign
Superior organizational abilities so as to ensure prompt accessibility to stored data and timely
completion of projects
Well-organized and self-initiating.
Outgoing/friendly customer service oriented.
Evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the National Association of
Evangelicals Statement of Faith and the Seminary’s governing values.
