9. Idea 1
Who Kroxâ Vek Eclipse, a changeling knight and last remaining Noble of house Eclipse. A famous swords master and code bound warrior.
Who was born into a world of chaos divide and war. Groomed into becoming the tool of absolution he is today. Once the grand
Hive schism concluded he was banished and betrayed, outcast to live his life in shame.
What Whilst going through his daily training exercise he encounters an old friend Thraxxus a former dualist that fought
along side him in the wars, Krox is unbothered by the great betrayal and welcomes his friend, Krox cares not for
revenge or justice because he believes that the past is absolute and there is no changing it and thus no reason to
dwell on it.
Why He is told by thraxxus that his people and his race are being rounded up by the dominate Humans to be set in
prisons and be executed due to the actions of a fringe changeling group. Krox not caring for his banishment and
how everyone turned their backs on him takes his sword and sets off to do what he was created for. War.
When 20 years after Kroxâs banishment, Era 1 Year 312, during a time of heightened tension between humans and
everything else, 10 years after a small changeling swarm made of entirely the forgotten house inside a human
wedding that was meant to unite the north kingdom with the central keep, this event only manged to deepen the
xenophobia towards the already persecuted changelings.
Where Set on planet Equis, on the main solid continent named Eilla. The desolate southern Badlands, a harsh unforgiving
scorched land is home to the changelings. The now combined north/central keep, Ertgeld is the human kingdom
that is rounding up all changelings and killing them. On the left side of the human controlled zone is a massive
dangerous forest that the forgotten house hides in.
How Krox ventures through the human controlled territory to the capital city so he can kill the human royal elite free his
10. Idea 2
Who Nomad a special forces survival expert part of the 707th panthers. She works primarily as a CQB squad member and specialises in
close and personal fighting. Kitted out in full tac-ware with a notable patch on the left shoulder representing a group of military
elite called the enclave.
What Her transport helicopter experiences issues while on transfer to a second base named the âwolves denâ due to her
top classification and black tape the only people that know about her existence were the pilots who are both now
dead, and whoever gave the order to move her. She has to focus on not freezing to death, fight off starving
predators and a dwindling amount of supplyâs.
Why Nomad has to keep moving and find this base or she will die. She has nothing but her life to lose, and everything to
gain so she pushes onwards.
When 2039, similar time line to ours. Simple tech advancements have come forth and the military has a more pronounced
focus on drones and robots.
Where Earth, island near the south pole, an island named âmimic Alpha 01â is where Nomad is stranded. The area is an
anomaly ridden zone which is a hazard to human life, the ARZ is an island no larger than the ilse of man from the
outside but once you enter its field you are subjected to a vast continent of extremely harsh tundra hosting
unknown creatures and a hyper aggressive entity that has not yet been classified.
How Nomad overcomes this challenge by trekking for weeks through the desolate âblack winterâ storm to the Wolves
den to find it devoid of life yet fully stocked. During her travel to the base nomad falls down a steep incline badly
injures her leg she fixes her now broken bones best she can while she just manages to seek refuge in the den.
11. Idea 3
Who Octavia melodies, a well known jazz musician, night club owner, hitwoman and feared mobster. Octavia or Tavi as her closer
friends call her is a world renown artist and is among the highest society and most upper class elitists. In a juxtaposition to her
surface life music isnât the only way she has earned her fortune, high-profile assassinations, extortion, racketeering, gun running
and drug trafficking has lined the pockets of this queen of the underworld.
What A rival mobster opens up shop in her town, and threatens her business she doesnât know the name of her enemy
and not having every little thing in her city under her control eats away at her. The other mobster is called the
artist and that is all that is known, the new player in the game hurts Taviâs profits.
Why Octavia is the richest criminal in the USA and the slight inconviance of a new player doesnât hurt the margins all
that much, what hurts the most is her ego and pride. She needs to know who the artist is, she needs to find out
whose alluding her and how she has never heard of this new person until they are right under her nose.
When 1990s Octavia hasnât released an album in a year at this point.
Where New York City, USA. Exact same timeline as ours.
How Octavia overcomes the issue by killing and torturing her way through the underworld until she can find the artists
hide out, she sneaks in dressed to the nine and plans on killing the artist only to find out the true identity of who
they are. Not only has Tavi been on a journey around the city she rules over but she has gone on a moral journey
14. Existing Product â The Witcher
There is a gradual gradient that makes your
eyes move up from bottom to top of the poster
with the title of the show being front and
centre of the page. The main character is
present on the left but isnât facing the camera
to open up the mystery and interest in the
show/person.
Here is a more clear and direct poster showing the main
character front and centre with a focus on his unique face
With fiery eyes and white hair. Not much of the costume is
visible but a sword hilt and pommel are clearly visible in a
classic on back adventurer look. The poster also features
the setting in the background looking to be a snowy
mountain tundra.
15. Existing Product â John Wick
The poster on the left is dark and hopeless
a way of foreshadowing for the movie its
self it shows us at eye level with wick as
he stares forward with little emotion bar
determination, his costume is a simple
business suit as is everyone else in the
poster which is a play on the formal
hitman and is reminisnt of other famous
assassins such as agent 47 from the
hitman series.
In the poster on the right there is a
looking up angle with the title centring the
poster with the chapter and tagline being
in purple a mix between the colour
scheme of the past 2 films, blue and red
which is also coincidently emergency siren
colours, wick is in his classic suit.
18. Research Summary
⢠What have you learned from your research?
⢠Having the main character as the centre focus is popular and effective. Gradients
are a great tool to draw attention to certain parts of the poster, the middle or the
transitional part of the gradient is great for title placement. Dressing your
character in a recognisable signature look is paramount for franchise success, and
further more having your character preforming a signature stance or doing an
action they are known for helps with recognising them, eg, john wick standing
with a handgun looking ready to kill someone, or Luke sky walker with a
lightsabre.
⢠What aspects of the research will you include within your on work?
⢠I plan on using gradients with a central-off set character in a distinguishable
costume that contrasts with the setting. Iâm thinking of having the title along side
the character in the transitional part of the gradient.

20. Poster work
⢠I created a film poster for an adventure film called âReach of the moonâ, I had a moon
shrouded in clouds and shadows as the background image with the first word of the title
âReachâ wrapped around the moon its self reaching to each end, I had the less
important/dominate words âof/theâ populate the bottom half of the moon and for the main
object/focus of the film the moon, I had it placed on the bottom in the dark abyss in white to
contrast with the rest of its surrounding.
⢠On the bottom corners of the poster I placed a legal blurb about copywrite to add authenticity,
and above it I put the Age certification of PG. on the opposite side I had in the clouds the tag
line âLet the eternal night rage onâ and below that was the premiere date.
⢠I feel as though it all went well, the background image conformed well and the fonts matched
my idea well, it was one of the first bits of work that Iâm actually happy with.
⢠I have learnt about the Dafonts.com website and its usefulness. I can now match the overall
style of my work with a fitting font.
⢠This will help me in my font because I have a reference I can go back to and magpie from if I
get stuck, it has also refamiliarized me with photoshop so I'm not fumbling and learning on the
job.
⢠To improve I could add more text here and there to fill out the poster more. Next time I will add
a drop shadow to the text to flesh them out and let them pop out more.
⢠Next I want to learn how to cut out people and objects from solid backgrounds and incorporate
them in my designs and posters, mainly adding actors or characters and blending them into the
background.
23. Plan
My plan for my film promotion is to create a package of posters that invokes the division thatâs ingrained deep into our society.
This shall be done by creating 3 posters developing the main character, rallying support for him, and 3 made as propaganda for
the âbad guysâ, a way to give both sides some good qualities so that people can pick sides and spawn traction on their own.
I will have 3 posters that come out on the side of out protagonist, showing off and displaying his life and setting. The setting in
question is a dry hostile environment that can only by a hair support life. The reason I have decided to set him there is because it
paints a picture of him as a tough strong and experienced survivor/warrior all with out saying anything directly. It allows the
audience to feel empathy for him upon seeing the harsh life he lives in.
A 4th poster will be produced to generate interest in the story, this will be a classic âWantedâ poster, this will set up mystery as to
why the protagonist is being hunted and what crime has he committed. This will also add an open interpretation for both sides
to look into, those who support the protagonist will have a narrative that he is unjustly persecuted and those who are supporting
the antagonistic sate will say he is a criminal that needs to be brought to justice.
The mirror of the original 3 posters will be 2 propaganda pieces that outline how great lifeful and prosperous the antagonist state
is, it will show how happy the humans are and how much better off you are supporting them.
I hope that my meta marketing that indirectly involves the public will continue to build interest for the film. Iâm gambling on the
human nature of picking sides and our natural affinity to division.

26. ⢠Title font: The Dark by LJ Design Studios. Colour: black #000000
⢠Heading font: Matura MT Script Capitals. Colour: #72c8d2
I have chosen these 3 colour pallets due to them being the main composition of an aired Badlands and the Gobi
dessert which is the setting that my story is inspired by. The title font was chosen because its eroded and withered like
the setting and the protagonist. The colour was chosen due to the contrast and similarity with the main colour of the
protagonist.
The heading font was picked due to the more time appropriate look that was similar to the title but distinctive enough to
stand alone. The colour was chosen due to the contrast of the sand and brown colours of the ground that it creates.
The 4th pallet below is for the wanted poster. I will use the consistent font of âCowboy Movieâ
by imagex.
27. ⢠Pallet E is going to be used for the antagonist propaganda, a colourful and vibrant
vitality is a key theme for the poster to work. The heading font will be âRoyal
Initialenâ by Dieter Steffmann, this is because it looks royal, high class and rather
pretentious. A silver or gold colour will be used to flaunt wealth.

equipment?
How can you make sure that doesnât happen? What
will you do if it does?
Drinking around the computer Not have any liquids around the electronics and if this
is unavoidable then extra care will be taken when it is
present.

Strain injury Taking regular breaks. Stretching and keeping active.
Being immobile Taking breaks, stretching, walking about, exercise.

After years of banishment a knight is approached and begged to save his people. Division between races hatred of difference has overtaken the
dominate nation.
Our protagonist is In the scorching Badlands sun training alone in his camp, swinging a hefty black long sword that matches with his black armour.
He sprints around a makeshift training course and ends accidently slicing a rock dummy clean in half.
He spins around sword drawn to the throat of the intruder he sensed behind him. The intruder was a knight the protagonist fought with a in a
war a long time ago, the knight begs for his help claiming tales of disaster and atrocities, the knight is then asked to return where he came from,
our protagonist not believing a word of it. Our protagonist thinks to him self why should he help those who betrayed him all those years ago.
During his morning 10 mile run our protagonist finds a human supply line bringing members of a near by town towards the human settlement in
binds. He is about to return to his camp and turn his back on the those who wronged him when he notices a familiar face. He had to get involved
now.
Now deciding to head north though the Badlands he calls home he is hindered by the monsters of the scorched earth and manages to reach the
dense forest traveling through the enchanted wood tests him, not only through skill, but morally too. He grows and learns in the twisted trees.
Reaching the 1st of the human settlements he Is accosted with farmers peasants and petty land owners so he swiftly moves past them into the
capitol strong hold. Here the guards are killed and our protagonist strolls through the city as the noble elite gawked and stared. He walks up to
the main court effortlessly kills the captain of the guard then duels the 3 rulers of the kingdoms.
34. Synopsis draft 2
20 years after the great schism and bloody usurping of the throne a sole knight lives in banishment and exile betrayed by the
people he had helped 2 decades ago. He now travels the barren and scorched land he use to fight valiantly for, the same land his
bloodline, his estate, his ancestors had owned and ruled within the royal council. Forever condemned as a nomad cast to the
harsh surface away from the cavern cities he had grown up in. yet he is undeterred, his mind not on revenge nor anger, sorrow or
weakness, only his training.
Celestial sun bares down at the knight at the apex of its heat. The home of the knight was a small camp he had made that was
spartan and made the expansive waste look crowded. The main feature visible was a training course populated by elevated pillars
with stone targets flanking them great boulders that had stood for known time were at the conclusion of the activity. After
running through the course and accidently slicing the rock clean in half a sense of observation is felt. Reflexes that would
dislocate a lesser creature the knight was at a 180. Long sword drawn- its black metal unscathed from the feat achieved no less
then 10 seconds prior- at a parallel with an intruders neck. A low guttural voice boomed from him, commanding and explanation
for the interruption. The intruder, a former ally from the schism, begs for the knights help spinning tales of nightmares and
atrocities.
Honour, codes, blood and family were strong ties and stronger binds for pacts and agreements. As a knight of the order during
his banishment an oath to never return or interfere with the society that had ostracised him was made. By his own word he could
not help the ally that had sought him out, only a member of the order or the royal family could unbind him from this fate.
Passing of the moon came and went thus marking the start of a daily 10 mile run. On the return of his run a human war line is
spotted, the supply line carried the banner of the central keep the strongest human kingdom. Bundled in with tools of attrition
were prisoners, civilians and militants alike. His own people being paraded back to the central keep, within them his blood
brother, Thraxxus an infamous duellist. The knight set upon the convoy, swiftly ending the human forces and freeing his friend.
35. Thraxxus teaches the knight of the evil that has occurred in the last 20 years. As one of the last members of the order and a high
society noble Thraxxus brings the knight before a kurultai -a tribal assembly of clans- to discuss a reinstatement of his status,
power and âhouseâ âa bloodline/clan- this would un-banish him pardoning him for his alleged crimes. Our knight regains his
titles and name Krox Vek Eclipse, head of house Eclipse. Once the knight had gained legitimacy he set of on a campaign through
the Badlands up to the north, on a direct course for central keeps capital.
Progressing through the monster infested open scar of the Badlands unhindered Krox had made great progress towards the edge
of this hell scape. However he was approaching a greatly feared zone, the devils steppe. Before the 1st eon during the apocalypse
that was the dragon-giant war the steppe was a hilly pasture of opportunities and great nomadic space to live, now a hazardous
express ticket to the gods. Crossing into the initial stretch Krox was cautious but hopeful he wouldnât have to draw his blade. 2
rock trolls awoke angerly and attacked Krox, the duo of stones and wrath were removed from the gene pool with excellent
accuracy. Testament to his skill and training the knight walked on, still undeterred.
Much to his disdain his peace did not last for long as a rock drake decided to try take Krox as a meal. The battle was intense 2
creatures with abnormal speed and agility tried to end the other. There was no cover, no where to run and no where to hide. In
his haste Krox decided to mount the drake climb its back and plunge his black longsword into the waiting spine of his opponent
Breaching the intact and lush ground that still remained the knight chose to take the covered route of the forest, a supremely
dangerous path that even the legends that were immortalised in song would dare not go. He reasoned that the path was a faster
alternate with more stealth than the main roads that would alert the enemy. Entrenched in the enchanted overgrowth Krox
sliced through vegetation and cut down any wild wolf or bear that came to challenge his presence. Deep in the forest after
resting at a river the knight heard a twig snap, he was being hunted by something, and it was big. His black clad plate did little to
hide himself in the thick foliage. Continuing on while watching his back Krox was met with a bridge that had long since been
decommissioned. Here the knight was attacked by a manticore swiping at him, lunging for his throat and forced to jump in the
rushing river to escape.
36. Abducted by the current of the river Krox gets washed up in the direct centre of the kingdom, under a working bridge that had
farmers peasants and workers frequenting it. The knight had entered the heart of farming peace and civil life for the humans.
Shocked and in awe he had to make a decision that would forever define his character, either kill all the humans in the town,
butchering the civilians, or only kill those who impede his journey. The latter was the way he would go by moving swiftly through
the centre of the town 2 guards had tried stopping him, both were brutalised and tossed aside the capital was insight atop a
mountain, the sight of the rift, the highest place with the most magical and spiritual energy rumoured to make the city so
prosperous and powerful.
A swift march to the base of the mt. followed by a not so swift accent marked the beginning of the end for the ruling humans.
Thraxxus had warned Krox of the king, Tempest a large man with lots of military experience. He had been warned of the captain
of the royal guard, stonewall a defensive mastermind who had married the warrior queen Amythi of the north, with these 3 great
fighters and their own protection units, killing them seemed to be impossible, Thraxxus had suggested a team be gathered and
they set off in a few weeks time. Krox could not wait on a team however and he had shown persistence traveling from south to
centre in 3 days a full 7 weeks before the humans expected a response to their actions. Sic semper tyrannis, the knight would
end things here and now.
Killing off the guards at the walls was a feat dwarfed by blinking for an Eclipse like himself. He had since birth been trained as a
tool of absolution. The death of a full platoon of city protectors was nothing to him. Krox readied him self for a dual against the
last guard standing, an officer who had his sword drawn and years of experience behind him. The knight carried the
disembowelled corpse through the town centre as the human elite watched in terror, the fear being tangible and ancle to be cut
with a knife. Krox entered into the main grounds of the castle and faced near 100 elite royal guards, clad in purple armour,
headed by Stone wall. In human custom 2 leaders of military significance would great each other before fighting as a sign of
respect, the guard captain approached Krox to offer a deal of his surrender so there would have to be no more death. In
changeling culture if you drive a sword through your enemy they usually die faster than a fish in the Badlands. The great captain
fell and the shocked troops were culled with speed and efficiency.
37. Entering the court of the king, blade drawn, Krox Vek Eclipse was ready to give the nobles of the human kingdom something else
to mourn. With his ancestors looking down on the once outcasted weapon of war he issued a challenge to the 2 monarchs that
sat high on their thrones. The 2 humans readied them selves and clashed with the changeling. Cleaving the head off of the
Queen and impaling the King, Krox had restored his Houses glory, his reputation of being a legendary fighter had been forged in
the blue blood of the oppressive creatures of the contiant.
The long walk back left the knight lost in thought, what would be his motivation now? What next could he learn? Should he re-
join the society and live among the same snakes that had him exiled, he had most certainly learnt more from being in the suns
brutal assault, he had became more powerful and tough from the harsh surface, could he adjust to normal life once more.
Krox dwelled on this for the entire return trip. He set up camp in a cave he knew well since his youth and decided to leave the
issue for the morning. Inside the royal halls of the changeling court the houses were assembled. All but House Eclipse, for they
had over shadowed and embarrassed them all taking the public favour and the spotlight from the greater council. A trail would
be called for the treason of Thraxxus Vek eclipse, and the head of the Eclipse house, any and all former Eclipses were to be
brought forth as well. Chaos rules.

44. Reflection: Week 1.
What did I do?
During the 1st week I accomplished a lot. I started on my magazine cover and nearly completed it. I made a start on the synopsis
and did my initial draft. I completed 3 promotional posters that I will probably add to as ideas and amendments come to mind. I
started work on ideas for other posters and branding for my IP.
How did it go?
Iâm happy with bits of my work and I feel as though its going well. I spent a lot of time on my magazine and Iâve not been able to
fully put it to rest yet. I spent ages on fine details that only I would notice and I didnât feel like the blending on some posters were
good enough so I took an hour fiddling around with them trying to get parts of images to look faded. Iâm walking away from
every lesson feeling like I've learnt something else and Iâve gained another advantage for future projects.
How could it be improved?
I could make massive improvements by going over some of the fuzzy edges of images that have gone over a background. I could
improve parts of my work by adding new branding and different angles, having a single image or seal would allow for more
minimal and mysterious posters with only the small amount of branding.
What am I going to do next?
Next I plan on doing a 2nd draft of my synopsis, finish off my posters that arenât done yet, keep editing my film mag, clean up one
of my posters, and continue making posters and marketing. I might make a billboard advertisement or a bus stop advert as my
next concept.
Week 2.
Most of the projects were completed, the synopsis 2nd draft was finished too. Both extra adverts were created with a bus stop
and billboard coming out really successfully.
