1. Federal Electricity & Water Authority UAE.
Designation : RO Desalination Plant Operator
Tenure : March-2019 to Date
Description : Federal Electricity & Water Authority (FEWA) was established in
1999 under the Federal Law No. 31 of 1999 to carry out the duties assigned by Ministry of
Electricity and Water in achieving several objectives. Its Main objective is to cater the needs
of Electricity and potable Water for the population of the Northern Emirates.

2. Duties & Responsibilities:
I worked in SWRO desalination plant at Ghalilah Ras Al Khaimah having capacity 0f 15MIGD.
 To keep the safety as No.1 priority, stop and report any unsafe act / condition in the
plant. To follow and make sure others also follow the HSE rules.
 To operate and take care of all process parameters of intake water pumps, chlorination
system, coagulation, dissolved air flotation (DAF), dual media gravity filter, High
Pressure Pumps, Energy Recovery Device (ERD), Reverse Osmosis Treatment, Post-
Treatment and Potable water Storage Tank.
 To operate controls electric motors, pumps and valves to regulate flow of raw water
into treating plant as per the directions from CCR.
 To monitor the performance of the equipment’s and to raise work requests for
maintenance departments.
 To isolate the equipment’s as per isolation sheets given by the Shift Manager and to
make it safe for maintenance as per LOTO procedure. To perform isolation activities
like, draining, venting and purging etc.
 To normalize the equipment’s and to take into service after the maintenance activities
completed as per the procedure.
 To write the daily shift logs in details and giving verbal status to the reliever as well
about the status of the plant.
 To inject specified amounts of chemicals, like chlorine and lime into water or adjusts
automatic devices that admit specified amounts of chemicals into tanks to disinfect,
deodorize and clarify water.
 To start agitators to mix chemicals allows impurities to settle to bottom of tank.
 To turn valves to regulate water through filter beds to remove impurities.
 To monitor panel board and adjusts controls to regulate flow rates, loss of head
pressure water elevation, and distribution of water.
 To test water samples to define acidity, color, and impurities, using colorimeter,
turbidity meter, and conductivity meter.
 Performs daily analysis of samples to confirm satisfactory results in chlorine and
chloramine residuals.
 Conducts daily lab testing for PH, alkalinity, turbidity, fluoride, color, manganese and
specialized other testing.
 Performs distribution of water using SCADA into various zones to ensure adequate
pressure, water quantity, and acceptable chlorine residuals throughout the system.
 Executes daily filter operations and troubleshooting using SCADA system.

3. 2.Asia Petrochemicals Ras AL Khaimah UAE
Designation : DCS Plant Operator
Tenure : Jan-2018 to March-2019
Description : Asia petrochemicals producer of Ethyl acetate (99.9) purity. N Butyl
acetate (99.9) Methyl Acetate (99.9) purity and N-Propyl Acetate (99.9). Each Plant have
capacity 70 ton/Day. Asia petrochemicals produce lubricants also.
Duties & Responsibilities: -As a Plant operator I took the responsibilities of operating
the DCS and control the process. I have brief knowledge about distillation, evaporation,
decantation, condensation, pumps, heat exchangers, firefighting etc.
 To operate & control different manufacturing processes (Continuous process) during
shift as per standard guidelines and schedule.
 I Should have hands on experience of operating chemical process plant through
DCS/PLC and equipment’s such as Distillation columns, Evaporator, Reaction kettle,
Pumps, Condensers & PHE, Decanter, Storage tanks etc.
 Monitor, adjust and control all process parameters such as flow rates, pressures,
temperatures, levels etc. Through displays, graphics, trend logs and field operations.
Log all such activities within the shift.
 Ensure the safe startup and shutdown of the plant, isolation and blow down of
relevant section/plant during emergency situations as well as during periodic
maintenance activities.

AFRAS have O&M contract of multiple projects in the Saudi Arabia, I worked in RO
Desalination and water treatment plant of Saudi Electricity Company at Shuqaiq
Desalination Plant Jizan having capacity of 80,000 cubic meters per day
Duties & Responsibilities:-
 To keep the safety as No.1 priority, stop and report any unsafe act / condition in the
plant. To follow and make sure others also follow the HSE rules.
 To Operate & Control treatment plant machines and equipment to purify and clarify
water for human consumption as well as for industrial use.
 To fill the daily data sheets of the equipment’s during the routine field visits and record
them properly.
 To train the Saudis appointed in Operations Department.

4. 4. Olympia Chemical Limited Warcha (Soda ash plant), Khushab, Pakistan
Designation : Plant Operator
Tenure : Oct-2010 to Dec-2012 (02 Y)
Description :
OCL is the second largest producer of Soda Ash and Sodium Bicarbonate in Pakistan having
capacity of 450T/day. Plant consists of following areas:-
 Power Plant 20 MW Steam Turbine and 70T/h Coal Fired Boiler
 Absorption & Carbonating Tower
 Distillation Tower
 Sodium Bi Carbonate Plant
 Reciprocating & Screw Compressors

Duties & Responsibilities:-
 To ensure smooth operation of the plant and its auxiliary equipment’s at assigned
location.
 To monitor the different parameters e.g. flow, temperature, pressure, conductivity, PH
etc. and to take necessary actions to keep them within specified limits.
 To keep an eye on performance of the equipment’s and to report any abnormality
immediately to shift supervisor and to take appropriate action as required.
 To maintain Tidiness and quality Housekeeping in the area and to follow safe working
practices as per the procedures.
