PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Panel Operator, Mar 2010 to date
 Report to the Shift Supervisor and manage the operations of the EDC plant through
Yokogawa Centum VP DCS ensuring safe operation and quality of products. Ensure
compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP), standard operating conditions
(SOC) and safety configurations.
 Analyse PFDs, P&IDs and safety standards and manage DCS activities like DCS & SIS tags
loop test, creation of DCS control & trend groups and DCS graphics correction .and function
test .
 Manage the maintenance of fire & gas systems including periodic deluge valve tests.
 Plan and allot manpower for various scheduled daily jobs and coordinate with other
departments ensuring smooth and safe plant operations.

3.  Member of the SOP team responsible for preparing Standard Operating Procedures for safe
start-up of the EDC plant.
 Active member of the HSE Committee and Safety Observation (SOR) program which
identified unsafe acts and counsels the persons on safety practices and use of PPE

Achievements
 Participated in the commissioning of the 300, 000 TPA Ethylene dichloride plant based on
VINOLITE technology EPC Contractor: Daelim Korea. Participated in joint walkthrough
with engineers, conducted internal & external inspections of equipment, Checked DCS
tags & loops, functional tests of interlocks and raised punch lists for graphics corrections
and P&ID inconsistencies. Took part in inspection of equipment at manufacturers’ works
and the project site.
 Joined as a Field Operator and was promoted to Panel Operator.
Field operator – Operations, June 2004 to feb 2010
 Reported to the console operator and monitor regular plant operations, safe start-ups,
emergencies and shutdowns of the EDC unit, low temperature chlorination reactors,
incinerator system. and polyethylenes plant operation.
 Supervised the operation of compressors – 135 TR ethylene refrigeration system (York),
Freon compressor, and nitrogen compressors.
 Monitoring the liquid ethylene storage system
 Operated the reactor, auto glave ,crystallizer and blenders for produce polymers.
 Coordinated with the maintenance department to execute field jobs. Issued work permits to
the concerned agencies and ensured safe on time completion of all work.
 Managed the safe handling and transport of chemicals like EDC, ETHYLENE,CHLORINE.
 Supervised tank farm operations – EDC tanks, road tanker loading & unloading system for
all chemical products.
 Ensured maintenance of all requirements for Integrated Management System (IMS)
certification.
 Maintained log sheets and recorded key plant parameters for history of plant performance.
