2. Is there any particular Genre you
prefer when it comes to Music Videos?
This question was asked simply to get a good idea of what the majority prefer and
what kinds of videos to watch for influence on my video.

3. Would you watch a Music Video even if
you didn't enjoy the Music used?
I asked this question to see if the genre of music I was using was a good idea and if I
should use the song I wanted to use or perhaps use a more mainstream song that
would be enjoyable by more individuals. The results were equally balanced and I
decided that it wouldn’t make a difference what song would be used as the footage
was more important to me.

4. Do you prefer Performance based
Music Videos or Music Videos with a
consistent narrative/story/message?
The results in this question made it apparent that the particular type of video didn’t
really make a difference as it is about how effective the video is.

5. Please list your Favourite Music video
at the moment.
I wanted to see a variety of different music videos by using this question in order to
collect a good knowledge of the different codes and conventions I should include. I
watched each of these videos and noted down what I liked about them. This way I
could refer back to my notes whilst making my music video to include any clever
effects or perhaps gain a bit of influence.

6. Where do you watch Music Videos?
The results for this question were clear in the sense that I should be using
YouTube.com as the format for uploading my music video onto the internet and
sharing it onto my Blog.

7. Out of the options below, what do you
think is the most important feature to
have in a music video?
This particular question impacted on me the most as it outlined various different
things I will have to focus on when producing my video. I paid particular attention to
the ‘satisfactory camera footage’ answer and asked to borrow my older brothers
Nikon DSLR camera for filming and other equipment to assist with the camera
footage such as lighting sources I could use.

8. What features put you off watching
Music Videos?
This question was designed so that I could avoid anything that would put people off
watching my video. I paid close attention to these answers so that when I produce my
video I know not to film or include these features.

like to see in a House Music - Music
Video
For my final question I chose to relate directly to the genre and picked a handful of
common house music codes and conventions and was interested to see which was the
most popular.
