1. Proposal

Subject: Help 4 Heroes: Benefit Concert
________________________________________________________________
Introduction
Many veterans return home with physical and emotional scars from their service.
They often end up paying out of pocket for the care needed to remedy these
problems. It is my mission to host a benefit concert to raise money for veterans
and their families, struggling with medical debt. This proposal will demonstrate
why AEG will want to partner with us in this endeavor.
Statement of the Problem or Need
After enlisting in the military, soldiers automatically receive medical insurance.
However, there’s a lot of bills that the VA has been turning away. For thousands
of former and current service members, medical care is still costly even with
insurance. In 2019, Lawmakers demanded answers from VA officials after an
investigation finding more than $53 million in emergency room costs for veterans
wrongly rejected by department officials. This Unjustified action has left more
than 17,000 veterans with enormous debts, causing bankruptcy, losing their
homes, and destroying their credit histories.
Proposed Solution
There are plenty of financial hardship programs for veterans, but the eligible
veterans are still having to pay for their debts that should not have been charged,
to begin with, to be removed. The solution that we propose will be the start of a
long-term solution to assist veterans to eliminate their medical debts so that they
can continue receiving their proper care without the stress of huge medical bills
or the stress of having to repay an agency. The benefit concert will be the kickoff
to our organization, displaying awareness of the discrepancies taken against
veterans. Coming into the summer and fall season, concerts are a popular go-to.
A concert with a means to fill a cause is often hyped by media and celebrities’
backing, therefore this would be a great and viable solution to bring awareness
and funding to veterans in need. With live events being shut down for over a year
2. now, this benefit concert would be a great opportunity for AEG to kick off live
events again. Given the need for this type of program for veterans in the United
States, coupled with the focus on re-establishing live events again, I believe AEG
will be the center of the media’s focus, praising their generosity for investing in
this concert.
