Social Media are websites and applications allow users to share, create,
and participate in networks.

WHAT IS SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING?
Social Media Marketing is the use of social media to promote a
product or service.
Some examples of social media marketing are;
• Creating your own business page.
• Keeping your page updated with recent news on products or
services.
• Interacting with customers and building a personal relationship.
WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?
Today we live in a modern world full of technology. By
utilizing it within business, owners can increase they’re
brand awareness with little to no advertising costs.
Look at Twitter for example, where users can retweet
and share your pages information, spreading it to other
users. This not only potentially grows your brand, but it
also advertises for free!
HOW TO REACH YOUR TARGET MARKET
To Effectively reach your target market, you need to understand the
demographics of each social media page. The most popular
demographics of LinkedIn and Facebook are as follows:
LinkedIn:
• Men Users (31%)
• 18-29 year old's (34%)
• Urban-located users (34%)
• Earnings of $75,000 or more (45%)
• Users with college experience or
more (50%)
Facebook:
• Women Users (89%)
• 18-29 year old’s (88%)
• Urban and Rural users (81%)
• Earnings of $30,000 or less (45%)
• Users with some college experience
(82%)
Imagine you’re a business who’s market is primarily females
in their early 20’s to 30’s. You would want to spend more
time advertising on Facebook as it has a much more drastic
amount of females, and most user are within the market
age range.
HOW TO REACH YOUR TARGET MARKET (CONT)
By advertising directly to your target market, your business
will have a much easier time selling your good or service,
and build a close, lasting relationship with your customers.

using social media in your business, you’re being left behind in the ever moving world.
Without an effective use of social media, your business will struggle to create strong
relationships with consumers.

marketing potential at its highest.

Some examples of social media marketing are; • Creating your own business page. • Keeping your page updated with recent news on products or services. • Interacting with customers and building a personal relationship.
  • 5. WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT? Today we live in a modern world full of technology. By utilizing it within business, owners can increase they’re brand awareness with little to no advertising costs. Look at Twitter for example, where users can retweet and share your pages information, spreading it to other users. This not only potentially grows your brand, but it also advertises for free!

The most popular demographics of LinkedIn and Facebook are as follows: LinkedIn: • Men Users (31%) • 18-29 year old's (34%) • Urban-located users (34%) • Earnings of $75,000 or more (45%) • Users with college experience or more (50%) Facebook: • Women Users (89%) • 18-29 year old’s (88%) • Urban and Rural users (81%) • Earnings of $30,000 or less (45%) • Users with some college experience (82%)

You would want to spend more time advertising on Facebook as it has a much more drastic amount of females, and most user are within the market age range. HOW TO REACH YOUR TARGET MARKET (CONT) By advertising directly to your target market, your business will have a much easier time selling your good or service, and build a close, lasting relationship with your customers.
