A HISTORIC PHOTOGRAPH
History was created on the platform of the 3rd Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad, when Youth Wing Leaders of 10 political
parties of India came together to share their views on the future of India and to appeal to the assembled student
leaders to join the political process of the country for nation-building to strengthen the democratic fabric of our
nation.
Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus gave away the ‘Vijigishu Chhatra Sangh Netrutva Puraskar’ to the Youth Wing
Leaders. Later, they came together along with Rahul V. Karad to administer the ‘Oath for Strengthening Democracy’
to the student leaders. Seen in the photograph (L to R) are V. Sivadasan (CPI-M), Pratyush Nandan (JD-U), Manish
Bajpai (NCP), Jerald C. Tennyson (DMK), Aditya Thackeray (Shiv Sena), Rahul V. Karad, Rajpal Kashyap (SP), Rohit
Chaudhary (INC), Umesh Dutt (ABVP), Swadesh Kumar (RJD), Balasaheb Darade (Ind.).
GLIMPSES OF BHARATIYA CHHATRA SANSAD 2011-18
To revolutionize the mindset of younger generations; and to ignite their spirit to enter public life with a purpose to
serve the nation, the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad was launched in 2011. Nowhere in the world have such large number
of distinct fertile young minds gathered on a single platform with a singular objective of strengthening the
foundation of democracy. Presented below are glimpses of a few eminent dignitaries who spoke in the past Eight
editions of BCS.
