equipment even if it is
not energized
Safety is a integral part
of all training to help
ensure the safest
possible worksite
5. Our tank is used for agitator, motor
and pump installation, repair and
maintenance training, as well as
for; Confined Space and Fall
Protection training.
6. Millwright training starts in the classrooms studying the
mechanics, mathematics, theories and principles. This knowledge
is then taken out into the shop areas and applied hands on to the
equipment they will be working on in the field.
7. Millwright 1755 members rigging training meets
or exceeds industry standards. Millwrights learn
the proper rigging techniques, as well as the mathematical
knowledge of the stresses put on rigging equipment , for
safer and more efficient machinery handling and setting.
8. Millwrights have experience rigging all types of
equipment, in different shapes and sizes, in all
types of environments. Small components or
machinery that weighs several tons, Millwrights
are trained and experienced in rigging all types of
equipment and setting them safely and efficiently
in tight clearances, even down to thousands of an
inch
9. The training center is equipped with a 15 ton overhead
crane that Millwrights use in rigging and turbine
training classes.
10. Millwright 1755 has its own 10
Megawatt steam turbine.
Gas turbine training is also offered
to members through the
International Training Center of the
UBC.
Millwrights perform
simulated “outages”
to disassemble, repair, take
alignment readings and
reassemble an actual turbine.
Giving them valuable hands
on experience.

in maintenance, installation
and repair of various pump,
seals and valves. Effective,
hands on training to keep
your facility running at
maximum efficiency.

actually see the cavitation, how it affects
the pump and seals, as well as gain an
understanding how pump operating
functions influence the performance.

maintain and repair all
types of conveyors used in
several different industries;
screw, belt, roller, bucket,
chain, etc.

how the laser alignment
functions.

center lines within thousands of an inch for machinery
efficiency and optimum production.

machining on milling
machine, lathes, surface
grinders, drill presses,
