This document discusses teenage bullying of LGBT youth. It notes that LGBT teens are much more likely to be bullied than other students, with 28% avoiding school out of fear. As a result, LGBT teens are two to three times more likely to commit suicide, with 30% of all completed suicides related to sexual identity issues. The document provides suggestions for addressing this problem, such as establishing anti-bullying policies, creating gay-straight alliances, intervening when bullying occurs, and supporting troubled LGBT youth.
