LGBT+?
• LGBT+ is an acronym
for Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual, Transgender,

community that applies
to being Lesbian, Gay,

Lesbian: a woman who is romantically
or sexually attracted to another woman.
Gay: a man who is romantically or
sexually attracted to another man.
Bisexual: a person who is romantically
or sexually attracted to men and
women.
Transgender: a person whose sex does
not match their gender identity.
Queer: an umbrella term in the LGBT+
community to describe someone who
identifies as something other than
lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, etc.

• Gender Identity: The way you think
about yourself. (Whether you are a
man, a women, a mix of the two, or
have no gender at all.)
• Attraction: Who you're attracted to,
and how. (Straight, Lesbian, Gay,

masculine, feminine, androgynous,

• Sex: Your biological sex. The
gender you're assigned to at birth.

8. LGBT+ Safe Sex
There are many variations of LGBT+ individuals and
for many of them, there isn't much LGBT+ safe sex
education out there. This means they aren't very
informed of the safe sex that applies to them. This
means that LGBT+ individuals are more at risk of
contracting STIs.

• Condoms should be used
whenever having vaginal,
anal, or oral sex.
• Dental Dams should always
be used when having oral
sex on the vagina or anus.
• Flavored Condoms/Dental
Dams should only be
used during oral sex*.
*If a flavored condom is used
during vaginal or anal sex, an
infection can occur.

This means:
-Wear a condom each and every time you engage
in sexual intercourse.
-Condoms must be put on strap-ons as well.
-Cleaning toys is important to stop the spread of
STIs and other infections.
-Change condoms when switching from vaginal to
oral, oral to anal, etc.
-Dental Dams should be used whenever you have
oral sex on the vagina or anus.
Condoms are important!
They don't just protect you from getting pregnant, but also from STIs.
