2. Front Cover Photo
Model: Female 16
Shot: medium close up
Angle: straight on
Mise En Scene:
Costume: Revealing
Props: none
Location: Studio
This image is posed by a confident
female which reflects on women
empowerment. I want to use my model
for the same effect. I want her to pose
in this specific way to represent this
image of Beyoncé. The first third of the
photo is plain and displays the studio. I
want to re create this look as I think it
looks more sophisticated than a location
shoot. My title will obviously be on the
mast head. However, I want to use my
model to cover the title as I have been
inspired by other magazines to do so.
3. Contents
Model: Female 16
Shot: Medium Close up
Angle: Straight on
Mise En Scene:
Costume: Revealing
Probs: none
This pose represents an elegant side
to a women, that’s why I want my
model to pose in a similar position
to this to show the beauty and
confidence of a women. On my
contents I will have various pictures,
including my main model. I will also
use different photographs from
articles and news inside the
magazine to give the reader an
incite of the different types of texts.
4. Double Page Spread
Model: Female 16
Shot: Long shot
Angle: Straight on
Mise En Scene:
Costume: Provocative
Props: none
Location: studio
This shot is going to be featured on the double page
spread of my magazine, this is because it is quite
sexually posed and your attention is immediately
grabbed by the way that the girl is laid on the floor.
Ideally, this picture will be covering the whole of my
double page spread with an exclusive interview to
the right. In this case it would be the right hand side
third in the picture above.
5. I knew from the beginning that
I wanted my model to pose in
a sexual way. Although my
magazine is primarily aimed at
women, I still wanted to create
that look of confidence. In the
picture on the left hand side
you can see that my model has
used direct eye contact in
every single one of them. This
was a key are for me as women
are incredible beings with so
much sexuality that appeals to
all different types of
audiences. Body posture is a
key element when taking
pictures therefore I asked my
model to put her hand on her
hip which is also an indication
of confidence and sexuality. By
using this gesture the model is
marking her authority by
dominatingly conquering her
power.
In the top left photo of my model she is displayed
with a gold ring and other gold jewellery this again
justifies her being confident and courageous and
also gives connotations of her having high status.
6. These images represent
femininity and as my
magazine is aimed at women,
my main aim is to have
confident models on my
magazine that women can
inspire from. Most of the
time, women forget that they
are intellectual, sexy and
capable of many things. Using
images like the ones on the
left allow the audience to
recognise that they too, can
be confident and daring. My
model uses her hands on her
hips indicating that she is
aware of what she is doing
and thinking. She comes
across as intimidating as in
the first picture she looks
slightly above which almost
suggesting that she has high
expectations.
