2. The first person I asked gave a range of ideas that makes a good
documentary.
From her perspective she believes the viewers are the most important
aspect of creating a successful documentary. For example, she said it
is absolutely crucial for the viewers to understand what it us about
therefore do not make it too confusing. This will bring them in even
more. Furthermore, she said it is important to bring viewers in as if
they are experiencing it.
Another idea she offered is its significant to tell the story in a unique
way rather than a traditional basic way as this will increase the
interest of the viewers.
She also mentioned a convention of a documentary which is to
include real footage. She believes real footage of the event should be
considered not just voice overs.
3. The second person I asked said its important to answer
all the questions of the audience as the end of the
documentary to fulfill their standards.
Similarly like what Warda said, Katherine said it has to
be different and interesting. Moreover, it has to be very
informative such as statistics and has to be accurate.
Just like Warda she believes the audience is the most
significant when creating a successful documentary. It
has to be appropriate for the target audience.
4. Similarly, Stacey said it has to consist of interesting
facts as this will grab the audiences attention even
more and allow them to gain a stronger knowledge on
the documentary.
Also, it has to be relatable as Stacey even used an
example and said she could really relate to Gangland
as she chills with gangsters, therefore it was easier for
her to understand the gangsters day to day issues.
5. Overall, they had really similar ideas as some of their
ideas clashed for example they all said; make it unique,
include interesting facts and please the audience in
order to create a successful documentary.
