2. This is an example of a music band’s poster for
promotion of their band these are a massed produced
product that are either posted up in areas that have a
high foot flow which give the poster the best chance
of being noticed and informing the public about this
group.
Also they show the unique style in which the music
artist(s) present them selves to the public and show
which genre they are in.
The colour scheme used in the poster reflects the
genre that the band are in as it quite dark and
mysterious and a unique image is dominating the
poster. This reflects the alternative genre as it is a
unique style of poster that doesn’t follow standard
conventions.

This is an example of another use for
posters as they can be used to
advertise concerts that they are
currently playing at.
This will help out both the band and
the arena that will host the event as
they will both gain renown from the
public also it will benefit the other
bands
The style also used in this
poster is within the alternative
genre as it has a quite dark and
unique edge to it however it
doesn’t give a negative image
to the audience it makes it
quite old fashioned and formal
with the use of the black and
gold colour scheme.
