2. Genre conventions.
• Rock, uses aggressive styles of music quite dark and a negative emotional.
• Usually full of meaning on a real life topic for example (bullying) and the
struggle through it for example.
• R&B, has a strong beat throughout the song and is a quite popular genre
that is dominated the music charts.
• Electro, has a strong beat used throughout an energetic fast paced music
used throughout the songs.
• Alternative rock, different style of rock has quite unconventional videos
almost strange.
3. My chosen genre and the inspiration behind it
• The genre that have chosen is alternative as I find it is quite a unknown
genre that is not as common as other genres such as pop or rap. Also it
doesn’t really follow a set pattern so the audience will not know what to
expect as it doesn’t follow a generic path.
• The conventions of my genre is that the alternative scene is
unconventional and is not known throughout the world as widely as pop
or the metal genre that have become very popular in recent years.
