Dear Parents,
This half term we shall be having a French theme. This will involve a lot
of different and exciting activities, talking about France and learning a
few French words. In place of our rhyme of the week we shall be
learning songs for our Mother’s Day service.
Activities we will be doing in pre-school:
 Having a travel agency in our role-play area.
 Making our own passports so that we can travel to France, and so
that we can encourage the children to use drawing and writing for
different purposes.
 Playing with balls in our PE sessions and outside, helping children to
gain control as they throw and catch.
Activities to do at home with your child:
 Go to the travel agents or library and look for any information
about, or pictures of, France.
 Keep singing nursery rhymes with your children as they are such a
good way of giving your child confidence to use their voice, also to
learn new vocabulary.
Notices:
 A date for your diary. On Sunday 15th
March (Mother’s Day) you are
invited to attend a family service at which your child will be singing a
song which they have learnt in preschool.
 If you missed your interview before half term please see your key-
person to rearrange this.
 If you shop at Sainsbury’s please collect their Active Kids
vouchers for us so that we can purchase valuable resources.
