Fabricators use a variety of ways
to separate multiple parts from
a sheet of material. A frequently
used method places small tabs
between parts by programming
the spacing of a slitting punch.
The parts can be difficult to
remove, and can leave rough or
sharp edges. There are tools to
build in ways to simplify—even
snap out—parts from a sheet.
