3. Sender: source of message.
Encoding: process when the source takes
idea or thought and selects symbols to send
that environment will understand the
thought or idea.
4. Message: content of
communication.
Channel: medium
through which the
message passes.
Receiver: targeted
audience .
Decoding:
translating the
message into
symbols the
receiver will
understand.
6. Verbal Communication: communicating
through use language. Includes use of words,
numbers or symbols.
Requires
organized
language
system.
7. Nonverbal Communication: communication
through non-linguistic means, including body
language, facial expressions and eye contact.
Nonverbal communication affects positively
or negatively through the attitudes people
form about you.
