MahaDBT(Maharashtra Direct Benefit Transfer) is the Maharashtra government's online
scholarship portal that offers various post-metric student scholarships. MahaDBT, also
known as “aaple sarkar DBT,” offers 38 scholarship programs administered by different
departments of the Maharashtra state government.
This scholarship program aims to provide financial assistance to students who can’t
afford further education after post-metric. It ensures the proper implementation and
disbursement of scholarships to the beneficiaries. This scheme was started by the
Maharashtra government and directly funded by the government of India’s Direct
Benefit transfer scheme.

Eligibility Criteria for MahaDBT Scholarship
In the MahaDBT scholarship program, the eligibility criteria are different for different
departments. Here are as follows.
Social Justice and Special Assistance Department
There are five scholarship programs in the Social Social Justice And Special Assistance
Department.
● Government of India Post Matric Scholarship
● Post Matric Tuition Fee and Examination Fee
● Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Courses
Scholarship
● Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship.
● Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability
Government of India Post Matric Scholarship Eligibility
1. Family Income should be less than or equal to Rs 2.5 Lakhs.
2. Only Schedule Caste or Navbouddha Category are eligible.
3. Students should have passed SSC or equivalent matric.
4. The applicant should be in the domicile of Maharastra.
5. Only two professional courses are allowed at the same time.
Post-Matric Tuition Fee And Examination Fee Eligibility
1. Family Income should be less than or equal to Rs 2.5 Lakhs.
2. Only Schedule Caste or Navbouddha Category are eligible.
3. Applicant should have passed SSC or equivalent matric.
4. Only through the CAP round do students get admission.
5. The applicant should be in the domicile of Maharastra.
6. Tuition fees and other fees will cover under this scheme.
Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Course Eligibility
1. Family Income should be less than or equal to Rs 2.5 Lakhs.
2. Students must reside in a hostel.
3. StudStudentst be entitled to scholarship holder of the government of India.
4. students must have enrolled in professional courses.
Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship Eligibility
1. Only SC category students are eligible.
2. There is no Income limit for students.
3. Students of classes 11 and 12 are eligible.
4. Candidates must have scored more than 75 percent in matriculation.
5. The applicant should be in the domicile of Maharastra.
Post-Metric Scholarship for Person with Disabilities Eligibility
1. Students who are physically disabled(40% or more) are eligible.
2. Applicant should be the domicile of Maharashtra.
3. Anyone studying outside but as a resident of Maharashtra is also eligible for the
scholarship program.
4. There is no income limit.
Department of Tribal Development

● Vocational Education Fee for Reimbursement
● Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance
Post Matric Scholarship Scheme Eligibility
1. Family Income should be less than or equal to Rs 2.5 Lakhs.
2. Applicants must have passed the 10th board examination.
3. Only ST category students are eligible for this scholarship program.
Tuition Fee and Exam Fee For Tribal Students Eligibility
1. Family Income should be less than or equal to Rs 2.5 Lakhs.
2. Only ST category students are eligible for this scholarship program.
3. Tuition fees and other fees will cover under this scheme.
Vocational Education Fee For Reimbursement Eligibility
1. Tuition fees and other fees will cover under this scheme.
2. Only ST category students are eligible for this scholarship program.
3. Students eligible have enrolled in vocational education courses like Engineering,
Pharmacy, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Vaastu Shastra, MBA, and
MCA.
4. Tuition fees and other fees will cover under this scheme.
Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance Eligibility
1. Family Income should be less than or equal to Rs 2.5 Lakhs.
2. Only ST category students are eligible for this scholarship program.

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Scheme Eligibility
1. Family Income should be less than Rs 8 lakhs.
2. Applicant should be the domicile of Maharashtra.
3. Government and non-government courses up to Rs 2.5 lakhs will be covered
under this program.
4. Family income up to Rs 8 lakh will receive 50% government and non-government
aided fees.
5. It will not entitle the candidate to any scholarship program.
6. Students who are Karnataka and Maharashtra border residents can also apply
for this scholarship program.
7. Applicants should not have a two-year gap in any enrolled courses.
Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Junior Level Eligibility
1. Students of classes 11 and 12 are eligible.
2. Students must have a DHE sanctioned letter.
3. The scholarship amount for AMS junior level is Rs 3000.
4. The scholarship amount for AMS junior level is 7000.
5. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible.
Education Concession to the Children of Ex-Servicemen Eligibility
1. The son, daughter, wife, or widow of veterans are eligible.
2. Students can enroll only in government-aided courses.
3. Rs 445 paid as a college dress allowance and book allowance.
4. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible.
Eklavys Scholarship Eligibility
1. Students must score at least 60% in arts and 70% in science.
2. Students should have enrolled in law degree courses.
3. Family income should not be more than 75000.
4. Candidates must not have any kind of job(part-time or full-time).
5. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible.
State Government Open Merit Scholarship Eligibility
1. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
2. Beneficiary must have scored at least 60% in class 12th.
3. Rs 100 will transfer every month to the account of beneficiaries.
4. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible.
Scholarship to Meritorious Students Possessing Mathematics/Physics Eligibility
1. Students are eligible who have scored at least 60% in science and more than
60% in maths and physics in class 12th.
2. Rs 100 will transfer every month to the account of beneficiaries.
3. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
4. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible.
Government Vidyaniketan Scholarship Eligibility
1. Students must have scored at least 60% in the class 10 examination.
2. Rs 100 will transfer every month to the account of beneficiaries.
3. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
4. Candidates must have qualified and enrolled in under state Vidhya Niketan
scholarship program.
State Government Dakshina Ahichatra Scholarship Eligibility
1. Candidates should have a graduation degree from non-agricultural universities
only.
2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
3. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible.
Government Research Adichatra Eligibility
1. Students must have completed post-graduation.
2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
3. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible.
4. Beneficiaries will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs 750 per month and 1000 per
year for other expenses.
Education Concession to the Children Freedom Fighter Eligibility
1. A freedom fighter's son, daughter, wife, or widow is eligible for this scholarship
program.
2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
3. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible.
4. Beneficiaries will get Rs 50 per month for PG courses and Rs 60 per month for
engineering courses.
Jawaharlal Nehru University Scholarship Eligibility
1. Maharashtrians who are studying at JNU are eligible.
2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
3. Beneficiary will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs 8000 per month and 10000
annually.
Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Senior Level Eligibility
1. Students of classes 11 and 12 are eligible.
2. Students who are residents of Maharashtra are eligible.
3. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible.
Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DHE) Eligibility
1. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
2. Family income should not exceed more than eight lakh rupees.
3. The candidate should not be entitled to any scholarship program.
4. Applicant must have attempted to have cleared every semester.
Directorate of Technical Education
● Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna.
● Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vastigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna.
Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Eligibility
1. The candidate should be a citizen of India.
2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
3. Family income should not exceed more than eight lakh rupees.
4. More than 50% attendance is required.
5. Creamy layer students are not eligible.
6. The students must have enrolled for college admission through CAP.
7. Candidate should have passed bona fide students of the institute.
Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vastigurh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna
1. Eligibility is the same as previously mentioned.
VJNT, OBC, and SBC Welfare Department
● Post-Matric Scholarship for VJNT Students
● Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to VJNT Students
● Payment of Maintenance Allowance to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in
Professional Courses and Living in Hostel Attached to Professional Colleges
● Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship for Students Studying in
11th & 12thStandard of VJNT & SBC Category
● Post-Matric Scholarship to OBC Students
● Post Matric Scholarship to SBC Students
● Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to OBC Students
● Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to SBC Students
Post-Matric Scholarship for VJNT Students Eligibility
1. VJNT, OBC, and SBC candidates are eligible for the scholarship program.
2. Students pursuing any course should be approved by the government.
3. Family income must be less than one lakh rupees.
4. Students must maintain 75% attendance for the current year.
Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to VJNT Students
1. Only VJNT candidates are eligible.
2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
3. Family income should not exceed more than eight lakh rupees.
4. Students pursuing health courses are eligible.
5. 100 % tuition fee will refund under the CAP scheme.
Payment of Maintenance Allowance to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in
Professional Courses and Living in Hostel Attached to Professional Colleges Eligibility
1. Only VJNT and SBC candidates are eligible.
2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
3. Family income should not exceed more than one lakh rupees.
4. Candidates who take admission into the government hostel are not eligible.
5. Students must pursue a professional course.
Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship for Students Studying in 11th &
12th Standard of VJNT & SBC Category Eligibility
1. Candidates of Vimukta jati, Nomadic tribes, and special backward classes are
eligible for this scholarship program.
2. No family income criteria.
3. Applicants must not have any educational gap.
4. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
5. Beneficiaries will get a scholarship of Rs 300 for ten months.
Post-Matric Scholarship to OBC Students Eligibility
1. Students of the OBC category are eligible.
2. Students should have enrolled in courses affiliated with the Maharashtra
government.
3. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
4. Students pursuing animal husbandry, fishery, etc., are eligible.
Post-Matric Scholarship to SBC Students Eligibility
1. Applicants should domicile in Maharashtra.
2. Only SBC category students are eligible.
3. Family income should not exceed more than one lakh rupees.
Tuition Fees And Examination Fees to OBC Students
1. Students of the OBC category are eligible.
2. Students should have enrolled in courses affiliated with the Maharashtra
government.
3. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
Tuition Fees And Examination Fees to SBC Students
1. Students of the SBC category are eligible.
2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
3. Family income should not exceed more than eight lakh rupees.
4. 100 percent tuition fee will be covered under this scheme.
School Education and Sports Department
● Open Merit Scholarship in Junior College.
● Merit Scholarship for economically Backward Class.
Open Merit Scholarship in Junior College Eligibility
1. Candidates studying in classes 11 and 12 are eligible.
2. Candidates must have scored a minimum of 60 percent marks in SSC.
3. Beneficiaries will be eligible for rs 50 per month.
Merit Scholarship for Economically Backward Class-Eligibility
1. Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50 percent marks in SSC.
2. Qualified male candidates are eligible for a scholarship of rs140 for ten months.
3. Non-hostler applicants will get Rs 80 per month.
Directorate of Medical Education and Research

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance Eligibility
1. Family income is not more than eight lakh rupees.
2. Family members of the beneficiaries must have registered labor(labor card).
3. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
4. Students from Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, and Aurangabad are eligible for a hostel
scholarship of rs3000 and 2000 for other locations.
Minority Development Department
● State Minority Scholarship Part II (DHE).
● Scholarship for Students of Minority Communities Pursuing Higher and
Professional Courses (DTE).
State Minority Scholarship Part-2(DHE) Eligibility
1. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra.
2. Family income should not exceed more than eight lakh rupees.
3. Total of 2000 fresher will be quota under this scheme.
4. Beneficiary will be provided with rs 5000 scholarship.
Scholarship for Students of Minority Communities Pursuing Higher And Professional
Courses
1. Indian nationality.
2. Candidate should be the domicile of Maharashtra.
3. 70 percent of scholarship is reserved for male candidates, and 30 percent of
scholarship is for female candidates.
4. Family income should not exceed more than eight lakh rupees.

Students can apply for Maharashtra Direct Benefit(MahaDBT) Scholarship in the

Registration
Steps:
● Open URL https://mahadbtmahait.gov.in/.
● Click on “Post Matric Scholarship” on the screen's right side.
● Tap on the “New Application Registration” button.
● Fill in your details regarding name, email, address, mobile number, etc.
● Compete your OTP process you will receive on mobile or email.
● Click the “Registration button.”
● You will receive login credentials in the SMS box or email.

Create Profile
Steps:
● Fill in the personal details regarding Name, Address, Father’s Name, Mother’s
name, course name, Occupation, University details, hostel details, etc.

● Once you complete the personal details, you will see the list of suggested
schemes.
● Choose the scheme or scholarship program you want to apply to.
● Click on the “Scheme” button.

Students should have passed SSC or equivalent matric. 4. The applicant should be in the domicile of Maharastra. 5. Only two professional courses are allowed at the same time. Post-Matric Tuition Fee And Examination Fee Eligibility 1. Family Income should be less than or equal to Rs 2.5 Lakhs. 2. Only Schedule Caste or Navbouddha Category are eligible. 3. Applicant should have passed SSC or equivalent matric. 4. Only through the CAP round do students get admission. 5. The applicant should be in the domicile of Maharastra. 6. Tuition fees and other fees will cover under this scheme. Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Course Eligibility 1. Family Income should be less than or equal to Rs 2.5 Lakhs. 2. Students must reside in a hostel. 3. StudStudentst be entitled to scholarship holder of the government of India. 4. students must have enrolled in professional courses. Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship Eligibility 1. Only SC category students are eligible. 2. There is no Income limit for students. 3. Students of classes 11 and 12 are eligible. 4. Candidates must have scored more than 75 percent in matriculation. 5. The applicant should be in the domicile of Maharastra. Post-Metric Scholarship for Person with Disabilities Eligibility 1. Students who are physically disabled(40% or more) are eligible. 2. Applicant should be the domicile of Maharashtra. 3. Anyone studying outside but as a resident of Maharashtra is also eligible for the scholarship program. 4. There is no income limit.

Family Income should be less than or equal to Rs 2.5 Lakhs. 2. Applicants must have passed the 10th board examination. 3. Only ST category students are eligible for this scholarship program. Tuition Fee and Exam Fee For Tribal Students Eligibility 1. Family Income should be less than or equal to Rs 2.5 Lakhs. 2. Only ST category students are eligible for this scholarship program. 3. Tuition fees and other fees will cover under this scheme. Vocational Education Fee For Reimbursement Eligibility 1. Tuition fees and other fees will cover under this scheme. 2. Family Income should be less than Rs 8 lakhs. 2. Applicant should be the domicile of Maharashtra. 3. Government and non-government courses up to Rs 2.5 lakhs will be covered under this program. 4. Family income up to Rs 8 lakh will receive 50% government and non-government aided fees. 5. It will not entitle the candidate to any scholarship program. 6. Students who are Karnataka and Maharashtra border residents can also apply for this scholarship program. 7. Applicants should not have a two-year gap in any enrolled courses. Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Junior Level Eligibility 1. Students of classes 11 and 12 are eligible. 2. Students must have a DHE sanctioned letter. 3. The scholarship amount for AMS junior level is Rs 3000. 4. The scholarship amount for AMS junior level is 7000. 5. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible. Education Concession to the Children of Ex-Servicemen Eligibility 1. The son, daughter, wife, or widow of veterans are eligible. 2. Students can enroll only in government-aided courses. 3. Rs 445 paid as a college dress allowance and book allowance.
  • 7. 4. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible. Eklavys Scholarship Eligibility 1. Students must score at least 60% in arts and 70% in science. 2. Students should have enrolled in law degree courses. 3. Family income should not be more than 75000. 4. Candidates must not have any kind of job(part-time or full-time). 5. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible. State Government Open Merit Scholarship Eligibility 1. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra. 2. Beneficiary must have scored at least 60% in class 12th. 3. Rs 100 will transfer every month to the account of beneficiaries. 4. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible. Scholarship to Meritorious Students Possessing Mathematics/Physics Eligibility 1. Students are eligible who have scored at least 60% in science and more than 60% in maths and physics in class 12th. 2. Rs 100 will transfer every month to the account of beneficiaries. 3. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra. 4. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible. Government Vidyaniketan Scholarship Eligibility 1. Students must have scored at least 60% in the class 10 examination. 2. Rs 100 will transfer every month to the account of beneficiaries. 3. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra. 4. Candidates must have qualified and enrolled in under state Vidhya Niketan scholarship program. State Government Dakshina Ahichatra Scholarship Eligibility 1. Candidates should have a graduation degree from non-agricultural universities only. 2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra. 3. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible.
  • 8. Government Research Adichatra Eligibility 1. Students must have completed post-graduation. 2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra. 3. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible. 4. Beneficiaries will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs 750 per month and 1000 per year for other expenses. Education Concession to the Children Freedom Fighter Eligibility 1. A freedom fighter's son, daughter, wife, or widow is eligible for this scholarship program. 2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra. 3. Students who are studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible. 4. Beneficiaries will get Rs 50 per month for PG courses and Rs 60 per month for engineering courses. Jawaharlal Nehru University Scholarship Eligibility 1. Maharashtrians who are studying at JNU are eligible. 2. The candidate must have a resident of Maharashtra. 3. Beneficiary will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs 8000 per month and 10000 annually. Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Senior Level Eligibility 1. Students of classes 11 and 12 are eligible. 2. Students who are residents of Maharashtra are eligible. 3.
