1. The Masthead is the writing ‘Billboard’ the
masthead does not change through issues of
different magazines but stays the same throughout
all magazines. The cover lines on the side are
arranged with titles that have been highlighted and
the information is placed underneath it. The spacing
between each title allows it to be easily identified.
The header tells us the other features within the
magazine and also used the main colour, yellow. The
main cover line ‘Rihanna’ is in the middle big and
bold so that it interests the audience as they would
want to know what’s new about her. The
background of the image is very dark and a small
amount of light is shown, this would be because
they would want the focus on the main image. The
main image is of the singer Rihanna so that the first
thing you see will be the picture and because of this
people would be more likely to want to know what’s
inside. The main image of rihanna covers the
masthead which shows the main focus is of rihanna
and this shows how they want the first thing seen by
the target audience will be her.
