College Station Medical Center (CSMC)-Senior Circle Advisor January 2009-Present
The Senior Circle Advisor leads and grows a Senior Circle chapter that promotes health, wellness and lifestyle
opportunities for adults age 50 and better, and at the same time, positions CSMC and its affiliated physicians as
healthcare providers of choice.
Leadership/Management:
· Plan, organize, and implement communications and activities to generate and sustain membership,
participation and retention; to support hospital business and marketing goals; and to increase positive PR for
the hospital.
· Design & implement activities that meet Senior Circle Association (SCA) standards, support the hospital’s
business plan, and are personalized to local members’ preferences.
· Develop an annual plan (recruitment & retention & key service line promotion) and budget.
· Meet or exceed annual total active membership goal (recruitment & retention).
· Use Senior Circle program components to support physician satisfaction & volumes.
· Develop and manage Senior Circle Ambassador program.
· Served as Seniors EXPO chairperson in fall/spring of 2011-2014
· Served as committee member of Seniors EXPO in spring/fall of 2009-2010.
Public Relations:
· Negotiate, manage and promote local merchant discount program.
· Ensure standard in-hospital benefits are provided consistently to members.
· Market Senior Circle internally and externally via comprehensive & creative marketing mediums, including
community newsletter, employee newsletter and orientations, news releases & PSAs, voice on-hold
messages, advertising, hospital website, speaker’s bureau engagements, etc.
· Promote positive relationships by applying customer relations standards.
· Promote local and national benefits and resources.
· Make rounds in the hospital on admitted members and visit non-members seniors 50+ whenever possible.
Communication:
· Keep CEO and SCA updated on chapter progress.
· Provide requested information to SCA national headquarters.
· Publish & mail a Quarterly Circle News newsletter with a 3-month calendar of events (using Adobe
software). Implemented the Constant Contact system with Senior Circle in order to have another method of
sharing activities and opportunities in addition to the quarterly newsletter.
· Mail Senior Circle membership cards and Senior Circle membership handbooks.
Record Keeping:
· Maintain required member records, reports and files.
· Process applications accurately and timely.
· Process membership check and online payments in a timely manner.
· Maintain proficiency with member database (AS400).
· Maintain detailed records of Senior Circle trip payments.
College Station Medical Center, Healthy Woman Coordinator January 2011-Present
The Healthy Woman Coordinator leads and grows a Healthy Woman chapter designed to serve as a powerful tool for
strengthening the hospital’s relationship with women age 25-64. The program’s mission is to empower women with the
knowledge and confidence to make informed health care and well-being decisions for themselves and their loved ones.
2. Many of the duties and responsibilities are in line with Senior Circle responsibilities; however, the goal is to serve and
recruit a different age demographic. My last major project was the development and execution of Healthy Woman’s
five year anniversary event with keynote speaker Elizabeth Smart. Additional details provided upon request.
Talbots, Assistant Store Manager 2005-2009
I assisted the Store Manager and assumed all responsibilities for store operations in her absence. I was responsible for
sales volume, outstanding customer service and visual presentation, as well as maximizing profits by controlling
expenses and protecting company assets. Operating in the best interest of the company, I led by example and, under the
supervision of the Store Manager, maintained a cohesive, dedicated staff through communication, training and
individual accountability.
· Supervised the growth and development of the store through two of the Store Manager’s maternity leaves.
· Implemented various marketing events both in store and in the community.
Henderson Independent School District, English Teacher 2002-2004
