Skills & Abilities
MANAGEMENT
· Managed a team of 8-10 individuals, which involved setting staffing schedules, incorporating holidays, allocating roles
and duties accordingly. More recently I worked across two linked branches supporting and training the staff and
integrating the performance of both to manage and drive business jointly, working to meet the branch targets
· As part of the Management Trainee program, I was in the role of sales floor manager for 6-8 months,recording the day’s
business and reporting the performance to area managers promptly. This exposure gave me experience of appraisals,
development and training of staff,selective and efficient placement of staff and managing the people according to their
strengths and driving morale to maintain performance. I confidently conducted morning review meetings, summarizing
branch performance,highlighting performance flaws and strategizing daily tasks to help meet targets.
· During branch refurbishment,and with the branch manager on long term sick, I assumed the role of deputy and
ensured allnecessary management duties were still being done, such as branch opening closing, security checks, daily
audit checks, record keeping,etc and worked closely with the project team to ensure smooth completion.
SALES
· I find it usefultobe working towards targets, with a strong focus on achieving personal goals and then ensuring I have
maximum impact on the overall branch results.
· As a business specialist at HSBC, I gained national recognition for exceptionally exceeding the targets in almost every
single aspect of financial sales, customer satisfaction scores and audit checks as well as add-on products, and topping
the scorecard with a score of 992/1000.
· Through vast training, especially on HSBC’s Business Banking Academy, I have developed sales skills that focus on
relationship building and using Customers Own Words, benefit statements selling, and specifically providing
exceptional service to customers, through showing a sincere interest nurturing an experience for customers’ life of
purchases.
· I build on integrity and an informative approach being wholly knowledgeable to work in confidence and to win the
confidence and commitment of the client who then place faith in me with their purchase decision.

COMMUNICATION
· I am a confident speaker and a comfortable presenter to different stakeholders,and have no hesitance in delivering and
communicating a well-planned and thought out message.
· As part of networking and building business contacts, I have pitched to other business leaders about the service that can
be delivered through HSBC Banking.
· As support to the management,I have often presented progress and performance information to other staff members.
As well as this, I have produced supporting material for presentations and meetings. Occasionally I also have provided
marketing support designing posters and pamphlets in relation to promoting small local events that were internaland
externalto the business.
Experience
Current Status (Since Aug 2013 – to date)
On a volunteer basis, working with a local community club as an organizer of social events to help raise funds for charity
as well as local initiatives. Arranged and officiated in a successful Football tournament consisting of 35 teams, with over
100 business sponsors prospected locally and nationally, and raised over £1,000. Currently working to form a community
center to spear head a big change in the community to bring kids off the streets and backinto social and sports activities
as well as promoting lifestyle and health changes. Using contacts made whilst at HSBC I set up Sunday morning free
boxing classes for under 16s,supervising with the gym owner and encouraging local participation. At present working on
which projects to start for the coming year.
MANAGEMENT TRAINEE RETAIL BANKING | HSBC BANK PLC | JAN 2008 – DEC 2012
· Eighteen months on the management trainee program exposed me to different levels of management and I worked in
various branch sizes, with different number of staff and team members. Developed and learnt skills in front of office
management,sales floor and working to a balanced scorecard. Also built upon performance management and
reporting, staff training and working with different sets of people be they internal or externalstakeholders.
Volunteered off the program to enhance and broaden my in depth knowledge in banking.
· In 2011,had a very successful year in business specialist role, completing all internal accreditation training around sales
skills, understanding banking regulation,analyzing financial reporting documents,assessing a business for lending etc.
Acquired a very complete retailbanking expertise,with a very accomplished set of skills in cashiering, error and audit
corrections, adherence to banking policy, personal account management,complaints handling and logging in
accordance to FSA guidelines, personal lending,mortgage assessing, following audit assessments, etcetc.
BILLINGS ADMINISTRATOR | RWE NPOWER | JAN 2007 – DEC 2007
Assessed meter readings for feasibility to generate scheduled bills by comparison to billing history.
Authenticated the meter readings against source and previous bills for consistency and produced bills quickly
yet accurately working to daily work targets. Accurately checked, data inputting, followed procedures and
adhered to short deadlines to complete daily work sets.
