Procedures
Timing: 5 minutes
Activity description and instructions as they will be said to students
(include direct speech)
The student teacher will greet the students, and write down the date on the board,
ask them to do the same on their notebooks. Then she will call the roll. After waiting
for everyone to settle down, she will start the lesson.

“So, today we are presenting on our little projects! Let’s start!”
Timing: 5/10 minutes
Activity description and instructions as they will be said to students
(include direct speech)
The teacher will present her own project, by introducing herself and talking
about likes and dislikes. Some information is written for them to see, but
others will be represented by specific visual aids. This will be explained by
6. saying: “My favourite movie is…, my favourite singer is…”, pointing at the
images, and state an opinion with the adjectives they have already learned,
just as they have practiced in the previous lesson as they were working on
them. Then, after presenting, two students, chosen randomly, will ask one
question each about the information.
For example,
Teacher: “I’m an animal lover, my favourite animals are the dogs. My pets are
Capitán, Colita and Martita.”
Student: “How old is Capitán?” “Is Martita big?”
The students will be assigned one number to present their projects and to ask
questions. The selection of that number will be done by using an app,
Randomizer, so that this is fair for everyone.
This will be a revision practice for their own presentations.
The students will also be reminded that this is an oral evaluation and as such,
they will be evaluated. The teacher will show them a chart with the different
skills they will be evaluated on, as well as their creativity and text organization.
She will explain that each part is important and it forms the complete
evaluation of each student.
However, the final mark will be decided by the teacher of the subject.
Scaffolding strategies
As this is an evaluation, the teacher will only help them in case they are too
nervous to remember or to speak.

“Alright, now let’s begin with your own projects!”
Timing: 100/110 minutes
Activity description and instructions as they will be said to students
(include direct speech)
7. One student, chosen randomly with the app, will come to the front, and stick
their poster, as it was announced two lessons ago. Then, he/she will have to
introduce himself/herself and talk about their likes and dislikes. After this has
been done, two other students will make one question each1. Then, after
answering, the student will sit down, and another will come to the front.
This presentation is an individual evaluation. As they are 24 students, this will
take most of the lesson so they will have 5 minutes maximum to present and
2 minutes to answer questions. This is an estimate time as this is the first time
they make a presentation, but because this was a request from the teacher
to evaluate them and for them to present without reading their posters, this
might time some more time, and probably will take more than one lesson,
which will be longer than the practicum time. However, the student teacher
will use this moment to help the teacher evaluate the students on their
speaking skills, listening skills, writing skills, but also on their creativity and
their power to summarize important information creatively. On the other hand,
the rest of the class will be evaluated at the same time on their question
making, and on their behaviour during the presentations (silence, attention,
etc.). This information will be displayed and explained in the evaluation chart,
that each student will have about their own performance.
Scaffolding strategies
In case the students get nervous, the teacher will come to the front and help
them with questions about the poster so that they can continue.
Transition comment to link each stage of the lesson with the next one
“Great work! I love all of your posters!”
1 The idea of the questions is related to keep the students paying attention and avoid distractions,
so that by randomly choosing one student, they will have to be ready to ask, and keep the class in
an interactive mode, instead of playing a passive listener role. On the other hand, making questions
is difficult for some students, so this is a good activity to keep on practicing.
8. Timing: 5 minutes
Activity description and instructions as they will be said to students
(include direct speech)
As this is the last lesson, the teacher will give them a goodbye present and
she will use this time to thank them for their time and ask them about their
thoughts on her own teaching practice. In case there is not enough time, this
will be done during the break anonymously on paper.
She will thank them again and congratulate them on their great work.
