• Enmas O&M Services Private Limited was incorporated
during the year 2005 as per Indian companies act.

Since inception, the company has created a niche for itself and has become a
major player in
– Operations and Maintenance Services (O&M) for power and process plants.
– Engineering Procurement and supply of critical spares and equipments for
their own operating plants and outside.
– In view of requirement of clients , few power plant products like Water
treatment plant ,process boilers and Air cooled condensers were added
with the inherent after sales services strength.
– For Power plants above 100 MW, Enmas O&M entered into a Technical
collaboration (MOU) with PMEG (PIC - Marubeni Energy Group), Atlanta,

42. CAPTIVE COGEN POWER PLANT-ESCO
•

Enmas O&M with its capability to establish and operate the power plant
proposes to promote ESCOs –Captive cogen power plants for small and
medium process industries like Textile, paper and chemical industries on
BOO(T) basis.
Promoted a SPV company ( Enmas RVS Powergen Private Limited) with
the captive utility client - RVS spinners – Kovilpatti ( 20000 spindles and
yarn dyeing ) for their captive power and steam requirement.
The plant will be of 2 MW electric power generation with extraction
turbine to supply 6 tph @ 10 kg/cm2 steam for their processing. The
bio mass fuel is planned to have captive source from our ( Enmas O&M)
own lands of 300 acres nearby. Typical grass "napiar grass" which
gives 50 to 60 MT per acre Dry mass can be cultivated exclusively for
this and 200 acres will meet the requirement of 100% fuel for this 2
MW power plant. Since we plan our own fuel ,not depending upon open
market which has more uncertainty, the economics and ROI will be
better and stable
43. CAPTIVE COGEN POWER PLANT-ESCO
•

The plant will be of ESCO model ( Energy service company) on BOOT or
BOO ( Built own operate/ transfer) with long term agreement on
utilities for power and steam. The consumer will also take some stake
to have group captive concept where we need not sell the power to
open market or electricity board. Now the electricity tariff has been
increased to Rs 5.5 /KWHR and demand charges will works out to
another Rs 1.0, the small co gen captive concept will be better choice
for small process cum power utility consumers.
If we create one model , it will have good demand in small and
medium industries which is /will be facing power cut upto 40% for
ever. Apart from selling power and steam we can have REC
( Renewable Energy credits) of Rs 1.5 rs /kwhr can be availed by
trading and if it is workable we can go for CDM benefits.
