Future Is Unpredictable And Uncontrollable Event
Future is unpredictable and uncontrollable event. Even we plan ahead of time, there's still something
that will get in the ways. But having a plan is always a good thing since we cannot predict what will
happen. My life plan is very simple; getting a job, travel, being able to support my family and have
enough money for investing. My 5 years plan will be the first step to obtain my life plan. The first
thing is to have a decent career and earning a lot of money. I will be graduated in May 2016 as a
petroleum engineering. Finding a job right now is very difficult since we are facing the downturn in
oil industry. I will look for a job and working full time. Chevron, Exxon, Halliburton, Baker Huge
are the companies that I would love to get a position in. I will try to learn, get more experiences and
face all kind of real life petroleum problems, so that I will have a decent amount of skills which is
needed if I aim for a promotion. While looking for a job in oil industry, my back–up plan is to work
in a Nail Salon. Since most of Vietnamese people in the US is familiar with being a manicurist and
it has a good payout. I have been helping my uncle with his salon in the weekend and I made quite
enough money to cover my gas, food and books while attending college. So it sure will help me a
lot during this downturn. The second thing is to marry my girlfriend. We are dating for 4 years, been
through a lot of things and she is always by my side for the whole time. We're planning to

than expected subscriber growth or higher than anticipated pressure on realisation rates could
impact margins. * Intense competitive tariffs being offered by late entrants in the industry could be a
cause of concern for RCOM and put pressure on revenues and profits. The recently launched Simply
Reliance Plan could have a negative impact on ARPU. * 3G spectrum auctions could pose a threat
to RCOM. RCOM has a highly stretched balance sheet and this could result in RCOM not being
able to fund the acquisition of 3G spectrum. This may not be viewed as a positive by investors. *

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT ETHICS AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY SHOULD BE PART OF
AN ENTREPRENEURSHIP COURSE OR DID THE TEXTBOOK AUTHORS JUST INCLUDE A
SECTION ON IT TO BE "POLITICALLY CORRECT"?
Solution: Ethics involves learning to differentiate between right and wrong things and then doing
the right things. Entrepreneurs should be concerned with their ethical and social responsibilities as
they are also the part of society like everyone else. Entrepreneurs should be determinant,
competitive and honest to their workplace. For instance, if any entrepreneur discloses the secret of
the organisation for which he is working to its rival for money then it will be regarded as unethical
deed. Ethical behaviour among entrepreneurs should be the key element in corporate culture as it
helps the company to achieve success. [2: Business Ethics and Social Responsibility. 2014. Business

His concept of what the Tata Group should be is clear.
In over legendary 50 years, Ratan Tata established unrivalled standards of probity and
professionalism in management.
Russi Mody As an outstanding man–manager in his heyday with a hands–on style which earned him
the Padma Bhushan, Moday had many precedents.
He was appointed as Tisco's Managing Director in 1974 and became the chairman in 1984.
He displayed a singular lack of finesse during his last few years with Tatas.
He was to officially retire on May 21 1993, but was sacked on April 19, 1993. Had he behaved with
greater decorum, he could've had a much more graceful exit and assured himself pride of place in
Tata history.
Mody had accused Ratan Tata (Tisco's then deputy chairman) and Jamshed. J. Irani (its managing
director) of mismanaging Tisco's affairs and causing it's share prices to crash.
He aslo threatened to launch a campaign to mobilize support for himself from shareholders and
financial institutions.
Since he refused to agree with the management policies, he was unanimously voted out and was
fired.
Mody wanted to move up Aditya Kashyap (corporate executive director), his protege and Ishaat
Hussain (executive director of finance) as Tisco's future chairman with Hussain as his number two.

The Satyam scandal is a corporate scandal that worked in India in 2009 where Chairman Ramalinga
Raju confessed that the company's accounts had been falsified not in small numbers but largely. The
Global corporate community was shocked and scandalized when the chairman of Satyam,
Ramalinga Raju resigned on 7 January 2009 and confessed that he had manipulated the accounts by
US$1.47–Billion. In February 2009, CBI took over the investigation and filed three charge sheets
(on 7 April 2009, 24 November 2009 and 7 January 2010), which were later clubbed into one. On
10 April 2015, Ramalinga Raju was convicted with 10 other members. This was a case in which all
its stake holders (government, employees, shareholders, and management) were cheated. All their
interests' were sacrificed for the personal benefits of the company's chairman who invested a major
share of the wealth hence earned in real estate. His confessions about the fraud in the company
resulted in the drastic fall of companies share value from 500 to 11 in one single day. This lead to

Rom And Aircel Case Study Solution
Four reasons have been analysed for why RCom and Aircel chose to shed their self–images and
converge with each other to make third biggest Indian telecom firm. The part of Jio will likewise be
comprehended in this entire arrangement. A. Reduced Debt Both RCom and Aircel are reeling under
substantial obligation, and this merger will give them some space to move around. Because of the
merger, another element would be made, alongside another brand name to offer telecom
administrations. This new element will ingest the greater part of the continuous obligation of RCom
and also Aircel. On one hand RCom will exchange Rs 20,000 crore obligation into this new
substance, which incorporates Rs 14,000 crore of long haul obligation and Rs 6000 crore of
portions, which is payable to TRAI for purchasing range. Then again, Aircel will exchange an
obligation of Rs 14,000 crore to this new substance. Furthermore, both of these organizations will
contribute $570 million each to make a pool of Rs 7600 crore, which would be utilized to grow their
business and buyout more range. This merger just concerns remote business of RCom, and
according to reports, RCom's pinnacle business is additionally available to be purchased at a
valuation of $2.5–3 billion. B. Larger client base Telecom is a capital–driven business, and
interruptions, for example, Jio's entrance with free voice shakes up the business, prompting unions
and mergers. Aircel–RCom merger is an ideal case of this hypothesis. Keeping

Employee Remuneration
Chapter I
INTRODUCTION
1. MEANING OF WAGE/ COMPENSATION PAYMENT: Wage is a monetary payment made by
the employer to his employee for the work done or services rendered. It is a monetary compensation
for the services rendered [1]. A worker may be paid Rs. 100 per day or Rs. 4500 per month. This is
wage payment. The worker gives his services and takes payment called wage payment. Industrial
workers are paid remuneration for their services in terms of money called wage payment. Wages are
usually paid in cash at the end of one day, one month or one week. Money wage is the monetary
compensation or price paid by the employer to his employee for the services rendered. Such
compensation is also called wage or salary or reward ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is due to poverty, rising prices, mass unemployment and rising population. Wage payment
indeed a vexatious problem and needs to be tackled from economic, social and humanistic angles.
1.2 CONCEPT OF FAIR WAGES:
Fair wages is the wage which is above the minimum wage but below the living wage. Obviously the
lower limit of the fair wage is the minimum wage and the upper limit is set by the ability of the
industry to pay. Between these two limits, fair wages should depend on the factors like – 1.
Prevailing rates of wages in the same occupation 2. Prevailing rates of wages in the same region or
neighbouring areas 3. Employers ability to pay 4. Level of national income and its distribution 5.
Productivity of labour 6. Status enjoyed by the industry in the economy
Hence it can be said that fair wages are determined on industry cum region basis. When fair wages
are paid employees enjoy higher standard of living. It is accepted fact that wages must be fair and
reasonable. Wages is fair when the employee is able to meet its essential needs and enjoy reasonable
standard of living. "Equal pay for equal work" serves as base of fair wage [4].
1.3 FACTORS INFLUENCING WAGE AND SALARY STRUCTURE [5] The organization's
ability to pay:
Wage increases should be given by those organizations which can afford them. Companies that have
good sales and therefore high profits tend to pay higher wages than those which are

Case Study Between Merger And Acquisition
Question 1: The integration strategy embark upon by Reliance Industry Limited (RIL) chairman
Mukesh Ambani is at the core of the company evolution and growth, and the idea of building
strength in India first and then leveraging it to build a global business is a good strategy, Consistent
with this strategy, Reliance merged Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (IPCL) to create one
petrochemical entity in India. Consequently, doubling the capacity of its production to 1.6 million

Therefore, in acquisition two companies combine together to form a new company altogether.
Looking at some differences between merger and acquisition below. Merger involve a mutual
decision. Unlike acquisition that can be friendly takeover or hostile takeover, merger is often
expensive than acquisition due to inclusion of legal cost, shareholders have the opportunity to
increase their net worth through a merger which is not possible in the acquisition. The transaction in
acquisition is much easier and faster than as it is in merger, dilution of ownership occurred in
merger whereas the acquirers does not experience dilution of ownership. Why companies consider
merger to be important for their business success is not far fetch, to increase market share,
economies of scale, profit from R&D, benefits on account of tax shields and reduction of
competition. However, the merger also has some associated problems such as increased business
complexity, clash of corporate culture and sometime employee may be resistance to

External Factors Of Entrepreneurship
The Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) is the second largest public traded company in India in terms of
market capitalisation. RIL contributes about 20% of total exports from India. Did you ever wonder
from where did Dhirubhai Ambani get the idea of selling crude oil in India? When Dhirubhai was a
teenager, he used to work in a company in Yemen. In 1962, he returned to India with an idea of
starting his own import–export business. He moved to petrochemicals business and established a
profitable and global enterprise in India.
Thus, a successful entrepreneurship is created and developed from an innovative and simple idea or

Reasons for its failure
Reliance Industries shut all of its 1,432 petrol pumps in the country after sales dropped to almost nil
as it could not match the subsidized price offered by public sector competition. The company owned
less than three per cent of the 36,936 petrol pumps in the country. Of the total retail outlets, state run
Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum own 34,304 pumps, while the remaining
belong to private sector Essar Oil and Shell India.

But suddenly it announced to close down all of its retail outlets .The main reason behind this was
the lack of support from government. Government of India controls the prices of petrol and diesel in
India. So, all the petroleum retail outlets have to sell their petroleum products at bargain–basement
prices. Government provides subsidies to the Public sector oil companies but it refused to provide
subsidies to the reliance petroleum ltd. Even the biggest of the companies cannot sell their products
at discounted rates because it is not possible to sell at losses at long term. So reliance petroleum had

Giant toy stores since they do not manufacture their own products, attempt to develop brand loyalty
to the stores themselves. The shopping experience itself is now sold to consumers. Retailers want
customers to think of their stores as a destination, not a mere outlet for the distribution of products.
Their goal is to move attention away from the products sold, which are available anywhere, even
over the Internet, to the place where the products are sold. Diamond Toys, one of such specialty toy
shops in USA emphasizes status, high quality, unique merchandise and excellent service. Their goal
is to attract a wealthy, cosmopolitan clientele seeking unique, high–quality toys sold by solicitous,
knowledgeable service workers. Hence, stores in the Diamond Toys chain are generally located in
upscale shopping districts in major cities and are built to resemble amusement parks making them
appeal to tourists as well as to the wealthy. Hence, the image the store wants to build for itself, the
clientele it wishes to serve, play a major role in deciding store locations. A store which is interested
in building an image of value for money and offers large discounts will probably locate itself in the
city outskirts and depend upon the discount and variety if offers to lure customers to make the trip

Challenges Faced By Tata Essay
Challenges faced by Tata Group
Ratan Tata believed that all the Tata group companies had enough shareholdings in their associated
companies to be called as groups in their own rights. All throughout the history Tata group followed
precepts set by Jamsetji Tata. By 20th century the leadership was considered almost to be a static
business environment. However, due to the drastic changes in the economic liberalization Ratan

When in 1991, Ratan Tata took over as the chairman, the company was very low on the group
bonding quality. All the firms under the Tata group followed their own strategy and often their
business interest clashed which resulted in competition among various Tata firms.
The group lacked the spirit of central cohesiveness as there was no person to command them. Ratan
Tata lacked the kind of authority what his any of the predecessors had. There was strong resistance
to
change that has been built over a century old legacy. Therefore, he had to ensure that a system to
restructure the group existed without which he could not carry out his intent. So, he wanted to
reposition the entire top management, to let the new vision percolate down to the parts of the empire
which were running independently. Rata Tata believed that a change in leadership style was required

Value Chain Vs Supply Chain Essay
The business world today is a competitive one. All the companies are trying their best to get ahead
in the game. Because that is how they will improve and be the best at what they do. To achieve this
the companies have to constantly strive hard and try to be ahead of their competitors or at least in
step with them. This is where value chain comes in. Value chain deals with adding value to your
product so that the company might gain a competitive edge over their rivals. There is always has
been a bit of a confusion between value chain and supply chain. Many people get confused between
the two. Value chain and supply chain are similar but not quite the same. Value chain refers to the
process of adding value to an article or product which includes production, marketing, and provision
of after–sales services. Whereas, supply chain refers to the sequence of steps that are taken to
produce and distribute specific products or services to the customers.
The figure above shows the basic difference between a supply chain and a value chain. Looking at
the figure we can decipher that supply chain and value chain are basically the reverse of each other
although in definition they appear to be similar. The definition of value chain could be rephrased as,
a process that is used to re–engineer or to improve an existing product and/or service so as to add
more meaning and value to those products and/or services, which would eventually lead to satisfied
customers and also helps a company

Abstract Business success may causes due to many factors, but the greatest determinant of the
business success is the entrepreneur himself / herself. Therefore, the question of what makes a
successful entrepreneur is very important. There have been many answers to this question. Some
people think entrepreneurs are born, others that they are made. Some see entrepreneurs as passionate

whether is it a nice book or not? Here a decorative cover page does not carry a long lasting impact
on that persons mind. Therefore, personality includes both factors i.e. physical appearance and
formidable foundation of good behavior and character.
Physical appearance is that personality which creates first impression in front of others that's why it
can be taken as the 'primary or outer' personality of an individual, while foundation is considered as
'secondary or inner' personality because it has second impact on others. It is not necessary that one
should possess physical appearance because it is sometimes depends on the heredity factors of that
person. It is inborn type of personality and sometimes depends on the luck factor too. If a person got
good looks then it adds to his plus point. We should remember that a person's height, weight and
complexion are not in his hand but he can take care to keep himself neat and clean to impress others.
Thus, working on primary personality is necessary but only putting concentration on it is not
sufficient. The best personality is based on the solid foundation of character. Good behavior and co–
operation makes a man popular. But this strong foundation is not an inborn quality of a person. It
can be developed from one's childhood and has impact of family, family background, friends,
working area, society, regions and experience etc. These factors also contribute in developing one's
character and behavior.

How Businesses Can Incorporate Csr Into Their Business Model
Topic: Describe ways businesses can incorporate CSR into their business model.
Introduction:
Many large corporations are taking corporate social responsibility into account and making it a part
of their everyday schedule. Over the past decades, there have been increasing concerns for general
society that many businesses have little concern for the consumer and they care nothing about the
deteriorating social order. But these days' companies are encouraging employees to volunteer and
make a difference in surrounding communities. In this way they are supporting and improving the
quality of life and enhancing the vitality of the communities in which they operate. There are many
organizations that are encompassing CSR into their plan of action and also they are making new
policies that can be beneficial for society. There are so many ways to incorporate corporate social
responsibilities into business modules such as health, education, environment and helping in natural
disaster.
Corporate Social Responsibility is concerned with treating the stakeholders of a company or
institution ethically or in a responsible manner. That means treating key stakeholders in a manner

Future Is Unpredictable And Uncontrollable Event

  • 1. Future Is Unpredictable And Uncontrollable Event Future is unpredictable and uncontrollable event. Even we plan ahead of time, there's still something that will get in the ways. But having a plan is always a good thing since we cannot predict what will happen. My life plan is very simple; getting a job, travel, being able to support my family and have enough money for investing. My 5 years plan will be the first step to obtain my life plan. The first thing is to have a decent career and earning a lot of money. I will be graduated in May 2016 as a petroleum engineering. Finding a job right now is very difficult since we are facing the downturn in oil industry. I will look for a job and working full time. Chevron, Exxon, Halliburton, Baker Huge are the companies that I would love to get a position in. I will try to learn, get more experiences and face all kind of real life petroleum problems, so that I will have a decent amount of skills which is needed if I aim for a promotion. While looking for a job in oil industry, my back–up plan is to work in a Nail Salon. Since most of Vietnamese people in the US is familiar with being a manicurist and it has a good payout. I have been helping my uncle with his salon in the weekend and I made quite enough money to cover my gas, food and books while attending college. So it sure will help me a lot during this downturn. The second thing is to marry my girlfriend. We are dating for 4 years, been through a lot of things and she is always by my side for the whole time. We're planning to ...
