the film to the audience. This makes the film known
and gets people interested into the film. Film
promotion generally includes press releases,
advertising campaigns, merchandising and media,
and interviews with the key people involved with
the making of the film, like actors and directors.

and Twitter.
• Trailers on YouTube and IMDB for anyone to see.
• Film production companies allow the release of
behind the scene footage on YouTube to get
people interested in the film.

• Paid advertisements in newspapers, magazines,
and inserts in books.
• Posters go on sale at the biggest stores.
7. MERCHANDISING
• Co advertisement for example (James bond and
Aston Martin)
• Action figures for many of the marvel films. (e.g. Iron
man) – This brings in extra revenue.
