What Is Modding And It Is Important For Many Reasons
Introduction Case, a first thing that one sees when looking at a computer, is important for many reasons. Primarily it is a box of metal that
protects the parts inside from dust, damage, liquids, etc., but also can be a way in which the user can express himself or herself. There is a
popular trend among PC builders to show off their rigs and let others express their opinions about the work they have created. As a matter of fact,
there are events held all over the world where people make changes to the cases to match certain theme or design. This practice is called modding
and it is exciting as you can create a case that no one else has and that will match your personality. Some modders are truly amazing at what they do
and as many say "case modding can quickly become addictive. Once you start, it's difficult to stop" (PC Gamer. 2015). People have different styles and
there is something for everyone– from simple and clean design to abstract and complicated one. Also cases come in many different sizes from very
small mini–ITX to very big full towers, depending on what will be the computer's purpose. This essay will talk about a mid–tower PC case NZXT
H440, company background and product's circuit of culture. A PC case that was modded to match Gulf colours (_0Cool_, (2015), GULF Performance

Important Reasons For Studying Abroad
Studying is important in life because it helps people to achieve their goals and make a success in their life and many people go to study to get
successful life. There are students who study in their countries and they try to achieve their goals. Some students cannot get their goals in their
countries and they have to stop studying because they get many problems like students cannot find their major in their countries. However, there is
what called Study Abroad which is students attend in schools and universities outside their home countries. Study abroad helps a lot of students to
achieve their goals and most countries have this program. Many students choose to study abroad such as students from Middle East go to study in the
U.S or students from the U.S go to study in Europe. There are different many reasons that make students choose to study abroad. In this essay, there are
three important reasons for studying abroad which are finding their major, seeing different cultures, and getting a good job in their feature. There are
many different majors for students such as health majors or education majors. When students study health majors, they may work in hospitals or
somewhere that related for health, but when students study education majors, they may teach students in feature or find jobs that related for education.
Every one has a favorite major that he or she want to study and help them to achieve their goals. Sometimes it is hard to get into major which students

We Are All Humans?
We are all humans. The same species. We were created equally, therefore we all should be treated equally until our actions make us deserve something
different. If we are all humans we should never prejudge somebody because it will usually always be inaccurate. We may have many things that make
us different from each other but something we all share is our humanity and the fact that we have feelings and emotions. Every human will always be
unique no matter what. It doesn 't matter what race they are or where they come from or what gender they are or prefer. What makes us believe that all
people of one group share the same characteristic and makes us hate each other for no reason are stereotypes. Stereotypes are the source of racism. It
is what makes us think that we are separated into categories and we, as humans need to overcome that. What makes us different is our personalities
not what we were born with. Fortunately the new people of my generation are open minded and racism along with bigotry will gradually die out. One
of the sources of stereotypes is in the media, especially comedy. To most people this is harmless and we will just laugh about it but to younger people
they are more susceptible and naive to what the media feeds their minds. Unfortunately some children might believe a stereotype said and then they
may spread that stereotype to others their age. Once these stereotypes are spread they can infect the minds of more people even if the source
acknowledges it

The Importance Of Technology In The Classroom
Today and around the world technology has become one of the important tools in the classroom and in our life. Technology has changed every level
of the learning environment. Over the past 70 years, classrooms learning were different from today learning environments. Also, many high schools
and colleges are embracing to new technology in the classrooms nearly every day and every year. Technology in the classroom has changed our
classroom learning to another level, for students to be able to register their courses in the classroom on the computer. It has low students' academic
performances, class activities, and failing grades. There are several reasons why technology should be allowed in the classroom, because of the positive
influence on our academic performances, and research.
First of all, technology should be allowed in the classroom because of these reasons. The first technology is making our educational system better
every day. Technology in the classroom provides students a new way of thinking and it has become big parts of our lives. For examples Notes, books,
computers, cellphone, projector, research and other resources should be allowed for students to use in the classroom and to checks their works.
Instructors should not stop students' access to their courses learning tools that will help them benefit from it in the classroom. Another reason is that they
should be allowed to print their homework in the classroom because some of the students do not have a

Critical Realism In The Prince Machiavelli
The piece of work referred to is Machiavelli's great book "The Prince" which explains the nature of human nature and the way they act badly. The
book can be used as a guiding book to leaders because of the advices Machiavelli was giving to the prince Lorenzo de Medici. The relevance of this
book is to understand one's personal foundation in research therefore linking it to ontology and epistemology who both tend shape and mend the
approach to theoretical and methodological thinking of a researcher. Ontology is a philosophical study which makes a researcher to believe and think
more in the light of the nature of being while epistemology tends to make a researcher to believe in the theory of knowledge. They are both different
but at a point they merge. They merge in trying to understand aspects of these terms in Machiavelli's book. How both of them merge to understand the
piece of work is the purpose of this essay.

Proponents of this school of thought believe that critical realism agrees with both ontology and epistemology. Critical realism and ontology argue that
there is a real world that exists notwithstanding of what we know or our perceptions or theories. They argue that there is a nature of being, critical
realism and ontology on the other hand argues that there is a form of epistemological constructivism and that is the basis of our understanding of the
world in which we live. And this world is like a house we build because of our knowledge we have of it. Meaning it is our point of view that

How Galatians Is Important For Many Reasons
Galatians is important for many reasons. To start off, it is among the earliest, if not the earliest, of all the writings in the New Testament. The letter
gives us an idea of the problems that arose in the Christian churches after Jesus ' physical death, and most importantly, it reveals one of the most
essential elements in Paul 's interpretation of Christianity. On this particular point, Paul made a definite break not only with Judaism but also, with
Christians of Jewish descent who believed in the new religion in terms of obedience.
To start off, it is important to understand what caused Paul to write the letter. This could also be recognized as the setting of the letter that provides
some minor background information. The people in Galatia and the people of the church in Galatia came to successfully discredit Paul's position to be
spreading the Christian Gospel. They also are questioning the accuracy of his interpretations of the Gospel. One of the main concerns is that Paul is
not in a legitimate place of authority to be spreading the Gospel. The churches and followers even went so far as to charge that he was an impostor
and was guilty of misleading the churches. In response to these accusations, Paul wrote the Letter to the Galatians. The reoccurring question from the
people in Galatia and the Churches is whether Paul's claims of being an apostle to Jesus Christ can be trusted and whether or not Jesus Christ himself
actually gave Paul the permission to continue the

What Are The 3 Most Important Reasons For Study Principles...
What are the 3 most important reasons to study principles of persuasion?
The first reason it is important to study persuasion is to adapt to the technological age. In this age of technology as stated in Persuasion in Today's
World the author examines persuasion and why it is important that we train ourselves to become responsible receivers of persuasion. (Larson, pg. 5) He
does this by first explaining that the average American is exposed to over 5000 persuasive messages a day. It is important to train ourselves to be
responsible receivers because persuasive messages have become a grammar of everyday life. These messages are received through a lexicon of
different mediums from television to visual art, and also conversations with children. For example: I have a lot of nieces and a nephew who watch
both Disney and nick Jr. both stations persuade parents with the idea of "learning" and they send messages of teaching leading the parents to believe
it is ok for the children to watch. This creates tiny consumers that then ask their parents to buy them things associated with the shows and characters
they watch in the programs. While a lot of these persuasive messages feed into the ideologies taught to us by other messages we learn from our
parents or 'society.' Larson went on to say: "Persuasion is the result of combined efforts of source and receiver. Even in cases of terrorism and hostage
taking, some hostages begin to identify with their captors."(Larson, Pg.11) While that last

The Ideals of Rationalism
The Rationalists are right to claim that knowledge is a priori and depends primarily on reason. Discuss.
There is not one definition of rationalism because it means so many different things. The Rationalists believe that knowledge is gained a priori or
independently of experience. You know that 4 + 3 = 7, and that this won't change wherever or you go to another country or to the moon. Knowledge of
the world is gained through rational intuition (clear and distinct idea) and reasoning & understanding. A priori knowledge can be a hundred
percent certain and is necessarily true.
A priori can be divided into four types: Prior to experience, which means that you have the knowledge before any experience. This is innate knowledge.

Descartes' Wax example is a good example of how our a priori knowledge depends on reason. You know about wax, that it is yellow, doesn't have any
smell, hard, solid, tasteless and scratchable etc. and that it gets squashy and lighter when warmed up. These sense experiences alone cannot account
for our understanding because it is just a stream of incoming data. This proves that the mind must have innate abilities to form understanding when
sense data is fed into it. It is the same with another example of Descartes about people in the street seen from above. His claims are that our sense
experience tells us that there are hats and coats moving below. Our reasoning and understanding tells us they are people.
In my opinion Rationalists are not always right to claim that knowledge is a priori and depends primarily on reason. In my opinion, you need to
experience certain things before you can reason and understand it. For instance, if you haven't been to the Isle of Wight Festival, but you know what
kind of music the bands are playing and you know what people are going, it doesn't make you know what the festival is like. This makes me closer to
empiricism.
On the other hand, though empiricism says that you know that 3 + 4 = 7 because you were taught this, I believe you have this is a priori knowledge
primarily because of reason. I believe the

The Noose Tightens ' For Two Important Reasons
The chapter is titled "The Noose Tightens" for two important reasons. First, most directly they arrested Nahum Cohn and his son friends of Anja's
father and hung them. Secondly, Vladek and his family start to face the hardships brought on by the Nazis. During this chapter it is evident that the
Nazis are trying to create a difficult environment for the Jews. They begin rationing goods and making it harder for Vladek's family to work. Most of
the business done by Vladek or his father–in–law must be dealt with on the black market in order for the family to get their basic needs. Nahum Cohn
and two other Jews were taken away for dealing goods without coupons. Vladek's and him father–in–law did quite a bit of business with him because
he owned a dry goods store. Vladek also says he traded with one of the other men Pfefer, a Zionist. The German's hung the Jews in the street for a
week to make an example. It no doubt was a large impact on Vladek. Throughout this whole chapter we see instances where the German's tighten
their authority on the Jews. German's would take Jews for breaking minor laws or even no laws at all. It was harder to acquire a good amount of
food. It was harder to find work or continue working in their old line of work. They were forced to move to from their home. Sell personal
belongings. Family members taken away like Anja's grandparents. Many time they were corralled up with no idea what was happening a dilemma they
faced at the stadium at Sosnowiec. This

Human Nature Is A Complex System That Has Many Layers Of
Human nature is a complex system that has many layers of its composition. With this, we tend to often ask ourselves "what consistencies are evident in
the activity of happiness?" Happiness is presented to us in a variety of forms that point us in the direction of having the same end result. Plato, Aristotle,
Augustine, and Lewis each provided their own unique views on the accounts of happiness that are portrayed through human nature. With this, there are
consistent principles of human nature that relate to happiness through being self–absorbed, finding pleasure, obedient, and moral. To begin, it is only
natural that as humans, we are self–absorbed. When an opportunity provides itself for us to speak highly or of tragedy of oneself, we ... Show more

Curiosity fuels the desire to know more, yet God is already knowing all (2, 6, 13). Also, Augustine was able to take sex and turn it into a vice.
Augustine and his peers took pleasure in the act of sex and pleasure in talking about it (2, 1, 1). These ways of pleasure blindly led Augustine away
from finding a true happiness during his youth. Next, obedience is one of the complex layers of happiness within human nature. Obedience plays a
major role in finding happiness with oneself and God. It was evident with Augustine that his mother, Monica, devoted her life to being an obedient
wife, mother, and worshiper of Christ. Her obedience is a demonstration of her devotion to God. Also, Lewis believed that until you give yourself to
God, you will not understand your real self. However, once you have discovered your true self, do not mistake this for ultimate power and place
yourself in comparison with God (49). Obedience to oneself comes with the acceptance and following of God. Following, morality is something we as
humans cannot control. As much as we would like to be in control of this, Augustine suggests otherwise. Morality is a social convention that disables
us from judging others. This is best understood when taught. (11–12). Moral virtues, as discussed by Aristotle, are the "disposition of desire, trained by
habitual action, and in cooperation with reason, to act honorably and appropriately, as circumstances

The Doctrine Of The Divine Command Theory
The Divine Command Theory dictates that "An act is morally required just because it is commanded by God, and immoral just because God forbids it
(Shafer–Landau 65)." This view is often accepted by religious people as the basis for morality; the morality of an action is determined by whether or
not it is commanded by God. However, there are multiple problems presented by this line of thinking. One of the most common arguments against this
theory is known as the Euthyphro Dilemma, derived from Plato's account of Socrates questioning Euthyphro about the determinant of piety, albeit in
relation to the polytheistic Greek system of belief. In this account, Socrates asks if "...the gods love actions because they are pious, or are actions pious
because the gods love them?" This inquiry can also obviously be applied to the modern, monotheistic interpretation of the Divine Command Theory. As
Euthyphro struggles to answer the question, Socrates details the premises that lead to the conclusion that the gods love actions because of their piety,
and not the other way around. This refutes the Divine Command Theory, and lays out a rather logical argument that explains the flaws in accepting it.
While the argument of the Euthyphro Dilemma is apparently logically sound, one potential objection is that it limits the nature of morality to two
distinct options, and excludes the possibility that moral goodness is what corresponds to God's nature: God did not arbitrarily designate morality to

government. Also to see what the new president has in mind for the United States of America. For an idea you want to state your own opinion to
be specific , you want to be that person, and different president's has ideas . Speaking for people's rights is a good idea and sometimes you don't to

Free Market A Love Affair Literary Analysis
Free Market: A Love Affair "Yes". What a powerful word "yes" can be. In several situations, the simple three

Visualize a proposal: overabundant bliss, uncontrollable tears, a man in indefinite genuflect displaying a gargantuan, lustrous diamond ring. Three
months of income for a ring, capitalism at its apex. In today's American society, capitalism persists as the driving force behind the economy and
presents a paradox of love. Capitalism tells one that money is the controlling power behind happiness and love; yet, one constantly hears the phrase
"money cannot buy happiness or love". Poets Dickinson and Rumi validate that love cannot be bought because of the selflessness love constitutes; love

Plato claims this along with the rising characteristic of self–love results in the danger of "treating fellow citizens not as friends but as 'foemen,' thereby
destroying the love of fellow citizens that is necessary for the common love" (Nirenberg II). In a self–interested society an individual wants to believe
he or she is right, yet when it comes to truth he or she often hears the phrase "everyone is entitled to his or her own truth." What is the reason behind this
statement? As seen in the Glass Menagerie, Amanda's world is a mix of reality and fantasy where the idea of love (rather than true love) takes hold of
her on a day–to–day basis. Amanda recalls, "your mother received–seventeen!–gentleman callers! ... Among my callers were some of the most
prominent young planters of Mississippi Delta" (8). Amanda treats love and the act of finding love as a prize and game, respectively; Amanda puts
her self before the gentlemen, retreating to the narcissistic state of human development. The reason for her mistaking the idea of love for true love is
the fact she was raised in a culture that taught her to mistake appearance with substance. While Tennessee Williams may agree truth and memory can
be subjective, objectivity is necessary in the race for finding love that makes life meaningful. Williams presents a subjective truth that's depiction
paradoxically depend[s] on a character's and an audience's always–illusory perspective. An individual should look beyond society's "facts" in order to
find truth and, by consequence, true

Examples Of Ethics In Fast And Furious
For a close person, our view of ethics depends on emotion but for a strangers, our view of ethics depends on reasons. We naturally are so attached
with close person such as family, friends and relatives. According to dictionary.com, ethics is a system of moral principles and a rules of conduct in
respect to a particular human. There is a scene from the movie, Fast and Furious, where it exemplifies the difference between emotion and reason
decision. In that scene, there is a guy and a girl who used to be in a relationship five years ago but he ditched her after tearing her family apart. That
guy calls the girl to meet him all of the sudden after five years in a cafe. She asks him why she called her to meet after five years and he replies back ...

It's mostly family because almost all family looks the good in their family member and wouldn't choose to hurt them so they make decision by their
emotion. If a close person cares about reason more than emotion than that means that they are showing lack of trust which could eventually hurt that
close person. The example given above from Fast and Furious, the guy has an emotional attachment with the girl which is why he went back just to
caution her from the bad people. This shows that ethics is more important emotionally rather than with a reason. In these kinds of cases the
knowledge "In the process of forming both personal and shared ethics reason is more important than emotion" is incorrect because reason is not
always important as emotion. Emotion may be more important than reason. We also tend to make bad decisions emotionally because we trust them so
much that everything that they say or do feels like it's right though it could be wrong. Even in an ethical example, if the first person feels and thinks
that it is the right thing to do, they would do it but for second person, the same thing could be the wrong. So it all depends on each individual's thought.
The knowledge question "To what extent do we make ethical decisions through emotion and reason?" in this case would be

The Importance Of Immorality And The Value Of Life
In our minds we are warned and aware of the future and what it will bring to us. This is found most clearly in the men of the loftiest genius and
greatest souls. They wonder why they should toil and strain in life when it is much easier to do the basic necessities. However, many people of the
past and present have sacrificed their lives for something that they believe in and value. This can be many different ideas and institutions of life. Many
that sacrifice do this because of the thought that their names and deeds would continue after them. They believed in the idea of immortality, not of the
body, but rather of the soul and that it will continue long after them. This is supported by the voice of nature and the general opinion of people.
Those in great power believe in this idea and this motivates their actions. This idea even carries over to even poets and philosophers with their
desire for fame even after their death. Their view towards death is important in how they live their lives. A forward thinking mindset is useful for life
and how they prepare for death. This adds to the value of their lives and the work they perform. I agree that we are aware of the future and act
accordingly with the pursuit of higher things in life. Immorality is an important motivator of how we act.
It is possible for men to meet death with a great tranquillity through the comfort of their own praise. This is also supported by the idea that death has a
time. There is nothing gained by delaying

Utilitarian Argument Essay
In nearly any conflict, regardless of its gravity, all parties involved greatly benefit from a confident, experienced leader who acts as a calming
mediator. Without such an influence, an air of anger and paranoia, devoid of a soothing voice of reason to calm the turbulence, will surely arise. In
fact, it can be said that without an individual with such a quality, there is no hope for the unification of a collective in time of crisis. An experienced,
respected, and light hearted individual is constitutive for the partisanship and, in consummate cases, the subsequent survival of all members involved.
As an example scenario of the value of leadership, imagine, if you will, a large catamaran which has recently struck an iceberg at sea. In the ... Show

For example, many would argue that the young paralyzed child was of utmost importance, and that they should save him over anyone else. Admittedly,
there is a humanitarian argument involved here, that being that a defining characteristic of the human race is to protect those who cannot protect
themselves. Naturally, the boy is the most vulnerable, and would be the first person saved, if one was to follow this flow of logic. Conversely, this
logic is in fact deeply flawed, for it is the farthest thing from humanitarian to do this, in such a scenario. As the boy cannot feed himself, he clearly
does not have usage of his arms, and is therefore paralyzed from the shoulders down, which leaves him almost entirely dependant upon others. For this
reason, other passengers on the lifeboat would have to exhaust their own limited energy to assist the child, and potentially put themselves at risk in
the process. Even if, by some miracle, the boy was to survive the grueling trip, there is simply no life ahead for someone who cannot use any of their
limbs, save one of anguish, despair, and longing. The truly altruistic decision, though heartbreaking, is to sacrifice one's own sense of morality in order
to ensure that one puts the boy out of his misery, and to not subject him to a tedious life of chronic suffering. In short, while seemingly beneficial, it is
actually a detriment

Healthy And Outdoor Sports
Nowadays, everyone is heading towards the route of being healthy. Everything that relates to health and being healthy is the main objective for
societies these days. This includes participating in outdoor activities or sports as well. It is agreed that outdoor sports are fun, enjoyable and also could
help in maintaining a good health, and it is supported by the proverb given by John F. Kennedy that 'Physical fitness is not only one of the most
important keys to a healthy body. It is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity'. Besides that, (Kapoor, 2014) also agreed that outdoor
games is essential in upholding good health within oneself. Hence, if it is seen from the right angle, these outdoor sports could be source for exercise,
recreation as well as adventure. As we know, children or even adults would prone to do something that is fun and enjoyable compared to a routine

words he uses in the book. It can be as simple as waking up 5 minutes earlier to make sure that, the employees are not late to work or class. He also

One of the biggest issues is that some reasons are real because they are out of a person's control. For example, Roth discusses the bike incidents, and
other incident involving him and his students. Sometimes people need to use a prettied excuse because it is out of their control, but mainly because
they do not want to say the actual reason as they might be embarrassed, or not proud as they know they could have done better. Another example of
this is when he talks about his oldest son Steve, and how he was born with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is defined by Christian Nordqvist as
"Cerebral palsy is a term which encompasses a set of neurological conditions that cause physical disability in human development – they affect the brain
and nervous system. The word cerebral refers to the area in the brain that is affected, while palsy means complete or partial muscle paralysis, frequently
accompanied by loss of sensation and uncontrollable body movements or tremors." (Nordqvist. C).

someone's human development, and it also affects the brain and the nervous system. The example

Cultural Relativism Is Important For Many Reasons
Cultural Relativism is defined as, "The principle that an individual 's beliefs and activities should be understood by others in terms of that individual
's own culture". Wilson talked about this term extensively in his class and he noticed a common trend within his classroom. The trend was that his
students warned him, "Not to be 'judgmental ' or to 'impose your values on other people."(Soccio 2007). This is a common trend found with a lot of
people in my opinion. In fact, I have the same belief as many of Wilson's students. Cultural relativism is important for many reasons. First, having a
sense of cultural relativism provides people with a form of tolerance towards other cultures. Second, it helps people understand acts or actions ... Show

When these two cultures were told any other way of disposing of their dead, they were completely shocked and almost disgusted (Rachels 2015). This
helps support the fact that different cultures have different practices and therefore different moral codes. Furthermore, if different cultures have
different moral codes and practices that are based on their own personal culture, another culture should not be able to judge them, simply because
they are unique to that culture. Tolerance is another good quality that comes with cultural relativism. Tolerance helps us have a sort of explanation
on why other cultures act the way they do. It gives the reason of an action or act being based on one's culture rather than because of the type of
individual that they are. Take a cultural group such as the Eskimos. The Eskimos believe in and practice infanticide throughout their villages
(Rachels 2015). This practice is considered highly wrong in American cultures, but is considered morally acceptable in cultures like the Eskimo
(Rachels 2015). What a lot of people forget to take into account is the reason the Eskimos perform infanticide. It is not because they are cruel people,
no, it is because they are thinking about the possible future life of the child and the future life of their village. Another baby is simply another mouth
to feed, a task which can be difficult for some Eskimo families. Therefore, in order to prevent a bad life for the baby

The Story Of Boddlebrooke's Curse Of The Poisoned Pretzel
In the story Curse of the Poisoned Pretzel, a large, gum–chewing baseball owner, Manchester E Boddlebrookes goes about celebrating after his team
wins their first championship. Only to die the very same night, and all the evidence points to Boddlebrooke's creepy brother Skidmore It's made very
obvious that Skidmore is the killer, but I don't think so. I don't think Skidmore killed his brother for three reasons, the storyteller, how long ago this
happened, and Boddlebrooks weight.
For my first reason as to why Skidmore is innocent, is about the narrator. From the way we're told the story, it seems as though a child is telling the
story. This is important for a couple of reasons. One being a child's story telling is always exaggerated. The narrator probably heard this tale from
his parents or a buddy, and after getting passed from ear to ear, and along the way, details were added, twisted, or completely changed. I can bring my
own experience into this for credit. I know first hand how a rumor or statement can start with one person, and make its way through a small school and
come out the other end a completely different rumor. So I have absolutely no problem assuming that this is the case in Boddlebrooke's story. Another
aspect I take into account, is that our young narrator may not fully understand the context of the story.
For my second reasons, I argue about how long ago this story took place. According to the story, Bobblebooke died over a decade ago. That is a lot of

One Of The Reasons By Brazil’S Economy Is An Important
One of the reasons by Brazil's economy is an important player in the world today is its size. They are the world's fifth largest country by size and the
ninth largest by nominal GDP. Other comparisons include the fact that they represent the largest economy in Latin America and second largest in the
Americas. Because imports and exports are a significant component of Brazil's GDP, at 27%, trade represents a key factor in Brazil's economy ("Brazil
Economy: Facts, Population, GDP, Inflation, Business, Trade, Corruption," n.d.). Although the government interference and a system that is

Private capital investments have slowed, Russia's market environment is weakened by the presence of a continued state–run model, and a significant
lever within the Russian economy remains oil (Kudrin & Gurvich, 2015, p.54). In 2015, Russia was a key exporter of oil to both Europe and Asia,
and nearly 50% of the country's revenue comes from oil and gas. That type of dependence, when oil prices decline can have a massive negative effect
on the economy of a nation (Andrianova & Khrennikova, 2016).
The economy of India is largely one that emphasizes service as the largest sector. Sixth–largest by nominal GDP and the third–largest by purchasing
power parity, another key area of the Indian economy is pharmaceuticals "which were the fastest growing among the top 10 export categories, up
51.7% for the 5–year period starting in 2011" (Workman, 2016). Of the five countries in BRICS, India is lowest in GDP per capita. India continues to
be an attractive foreign direct investment nation, led primarily by economic reforms that have made entry into the country's marketplace easier
(Esposito, Kapoor, & Mathur, 2016). Also significant in the economy of India is its size. This causes significant differences across the nation both in
terms of how the different states within the country experience the economic growth, effecting both access to products and financial capabilities within
the market. Not unlike other

Rhetorical Analysis Of Thomas Jefferson's Declaration Of...
Thomas Jefferson was very determined person with well written document during the British Tyranny. The document, he listed was to inspire and
spread his idea to fight for independence against British rule. (Sentence model 5) Although many colonies were at the disagreement on whether to fight
for independence or not, Jefferson still decided to take action to change those opinions. Thomas Jefferson wanted to unite the 13 colonies through the
common problem that they all have faced, as reason towards freedom. In"Declaration of Independence" Thomas Jefferson successfully uses appeals
to logos, appeals to pathos, and appeals to ethos to encourage his point toward freedom, for the other colonists to be encouraged. (sentence model 7)
For their choice, to either wage war against Britain for freedom or face the tyranny rule. Thomas Jefferson was effectively able to use logos to argue
for independence, to share his logical opinion of common sense to the audience. Jefferson list many grievances they've faced, it was already logical to
rebel "we hold these truths to be self–evident, that all men are created equal... these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". This phrase
acknowledges the fact on how human lives logically should never be unbalanced in their rights However, Jefferson worded as for "every stage of
these oppressions we have petition for redress in the most humble terms: our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated injury". His

The Approach to Nature of Descartes and White Essay
The Approach to Nature of Descartes and White The approach to nature which RenГ© Descartes takes is distinct from that of Gilbert White. Descartes
and White have similar key methods of examining nature. It is mainly in Descartes' deductive reasoning and beliefs that lead him to the method of
approaching nature internally (mind and body). Conversely, White's keen observances, inductive reasoning, and appreciation for his surroundings lead
him to the method of investigating the external nature (Selborne). Although ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this hierarchy, God stands as "some more perfect being on which [humans] [depend]" (Descartes, 26). Humans are placed in the centre, because God
grants us the ability to reason–the ability to distinguish what is true from what is false (Descartes, 22). Below us rest animals, having no reason. Truth
in nature therefore, must not come from animals since they are lesser beings, but rather, it must be found within humans.
White finds appreciation for the external nature which Descartes considers to be "less certain" (Descartes, 28). While Descartes takes a rational
approach, White takes a scientific, yet literary means toward nature. He observes nature ardently, noting animals' modes of life–housing, reproduction,
communications, transportation, and physical appearance. His ability to personify these animals creates "a meeting place for wild life and human
feeling" (White, xvii). In his recordings for example, White observes the swallow's mode of life. It builds its nest, "often within barns and out–houses
against the rafters" (White, 156). "The swallow lays from four to six white eggs, dotted with red specks; and brings about her first brood about the
last week in June, or the first week of July" (White, 157). "The swallow is a delicate songster, and in soft sunny weather sings

Identification Of Bacteria Is Important For A Verity Of...

Abstract:
Introduction: Identification of bacteria is important for a verity of reasons, determining if a bacteria is normal flora, or potentially pathogenic as well as
determining the bacterial source of an infection or outbreak. Identifying the bacteria is crucial when treating a bacterial infection because the correct
antimicrobial or antibiotic must be used to successfully eliminate the infection and this cannot be done without the identity of the bacteria. Selecting
the correct antibiotic is critical when dealing with an infection since not all antibiotics are equally effective against bacteria. Finding the identity of the
bacteria causing the infection allows the doctor to prescribe the appropriate antibiotic. Unfortunately looking at only cell or colony morphology cannot
lead to a conclusive result because there are many similarities in colony and cell morphology even among the eight bacteria used in this experiment.
Staphylococcus aureus is a gram–positive cocci although it is not usually harmful infections can occur especially in healthcare settings. This certain
strains of this bacteria are resistant to some antibiotics this strain is called MRSA. Staphylococcus epidermidis also a gram–positive cocci and
normally does not cause any maladies (Otto). Streptococcus pyogenes is a gram–positive cocci bacteria. Medical

What Makes Salva A Hero
What Makes Salva A HERO
A lot of people these days don't have access to clean water, and we were reading a book called A Long Walk To Water in our class. In the text they
talked a lot about one main character called Salva and his adventure from South Sudan to America. In the text Salva did a lot of things that made him
like a hero. There is a lot of reasons on what makes him a hero. But there is three critical reasons for me on what made him a hero or what makes a
hero. The first reason is that he never gave up, the second reason is that all heroes had something that is hard in their life, and the last reason is that
they has great leadership. And those are some main reasons that got him to the end of his adventure to America.
Imagine that you are in a desert for three days and you have little to nothing amount of water and no food can you even stay in there for a day while
kept on walking? The answer is probably no, but that is what Salva had to do. Which leads us to the first reason on why Salva is a hero and that is
that he never gives up. Let's go back the desert which Salva went through. In the desert that Salva had to walk through took him not one day but more
than two day to walk through, with little water and with no food. But he didn't gave up in the desert even through in the text it said that he felt like
that he was nausea and was going to fall at anytime. But he just kept on walking because he knows that if he just wait there he would just die but if he

What Makes A Good Writer?
The most important thing that a piece "good" writing does is make people question where they stand on certain topics. This is the most important
thing because when you question things you learn more, and when learn more you will be able to teach more. When you read something you do not
want to just read it and not learn anything from it, then there would have been no purpose in reading it. Writers do not just write papers so they can
tell the reader what is right or wrong. They write to explain their theory, to make others understand where they are coming from and the logic behind
them.
A writer can accomplish composing a "good" piece of writing by making sure he has logical reasoning behind their statements, by making it
noticeable when they transition into explaining another point, and when by not letting their personal feelings be put ahead of their logical reasons,
and by making the reader question them. These are not only important for the author but it is also important for the reader. If a author does not have
a logical reasoning behind his statements than the reader can not take it as a credible source and they will most likely not believe it. Transitions are a
huge part of good writing also because if a reader can not tell when your last point ends and the next one starts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Ethical Virtue Is A State Of The Soul
The definition of ethical virtue is one of the difficult themes that are often discussed by many philosophers. In Nicomachean Ethicsв…Ў.6, Aristotle
defines ethical virtue as '(a) a state that decides,(b) in a mean, (c) the mean relative to us, (d) which is defined by reference to reason, (e) i.e. to the
reason by reference to which the intelligent person would define it.' (NEв…Ў.6) But, this definition itself is complex. Then, in this paper, I will explain
what he means by this and evaluate this definition. First, Aristotle claims virtue should be a state that makes a human good and makes him function
well. In Nicomachean Ethicsв…Ў.5, he concluded that ethical virtue is a state of the soul. On the basis of this conclusion, he starts to discuss what
kind of state is ethical virtue. Then, as a premise, he defines every virtue should make its possessors be in a good state and perform their functions
well. The virtue of a horse, for example, makes the horse excellent because it is good at galloping, at running, and at carrying its rider. In the case of
human being, therefore, the virtue is the state that makes a human being good and perform his or her function well. Next, he claims mean states
should be ethical virtue. A mean is a middle or intermediate between excess and deficiency. He claims those extreme states are vices because they
make human being perform worse. Bravery, for example, is a virtue that makes people deal with a difficult situation with confidence. If, however,

The Achievement Habit : Stop Wishing, Start Doing, And...
Reasons are Bullshit
The book The Achievement Habit: Stop wishing, Start doing, and Take Command of Your Life by Bernard Roth is an appealing book. Roth was a
professor at Stanford University where he taught many students. Roth has a couple key points in chapters one and two. The key point that is most
interesting is Reasons Are Bullshit. As Roth said "The problem with reasons is that they are just excuses prettied up". (The Achievement Habit, Page
39). Bernard Roth uses the statement Reasons Are Bullshit to make points about life or when things do not have enough priority they tend to be put
off till the last minute, Roth makes valid points of why Reasons Are Bullshit. It really is a great argument about how his reasons are bullshit because
they are not a valid reason to something of your own fault. Roth gives a sense of authority and trust as a writer by telling us the truth about why
reasons are crap. When he is his own authority over himself, Roth gives excuses to why he was not there, or why he did not do that on time. Roth
tells about why excuses are called reasons because they tend to get used a lot when people are finding a way out of something. When Roth writes to
his readers he uses words, phrases, and tone to speak the message. Roth uses words that are spiritual, his belief of words or ones that are not quite
unfamiliar but ones that we do not see every day that makes the reading juicy. Roth seems like a very knowledgeable man when he is writing about why

The Importance Of Superstitions
There are two types of people in this world, the people who follow superstitions and people that dont. Superstitions play a big role in today's society
to the point where people will go about their day due to a superstition. If a superstition that told them they were going to have bad luck because of
walking under a ladder, they are probably going to be more likely to believe something that is not true. An event like this took place in the book ВЁ
Julius CaesarВЁ when Julius was told to beware of the ides of march he did not listen. Some say that believing this saying would have saved his life.
However it must be taken into account the other reasons why it could have happened. In this essay we will analyze and explain on why superstitions
are not to be trusted and followed.
One way superstitions are influencing our lives is people believing certain triggers of good and bad luck, according to the us news ВЁ25 percent of
people in the U.S. say they are "very" or "somewhat" superstitious in generalВЁ (Colino 1). When people see a black cat or a penny on the wrong
side, it is generally associated with bad luck. In reality a perfectly good penny was just passed up due to ВЁbad luckВЁ. Most of the time its just as
harmless as passing up a penny, but that's not the case with everyone. Sometimes people let superstitions keep them from doing everyday tasks. This is
important because people are letting rumors and myths that have a pretty big chance of being incorrect completely change

Perennial Philosophy And Science Of The Soul
Introduction To comprehend the contours of perennial philosophy and to better understand how to interpret reality properly, it would be necessary to
look into what Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger would suggest in order to establish a proper hermeneutics of interpreting the Scriptures. This paper will
briefly discuss the areas of natural epistemology followed by analogy and participation and finally, Divine and human agency and the life of virtue. It
will conclude by incorporating a summarization of the three areas into what Cardinal Ratzinger's "Erasmus Lecture" hoped in hearing reality in light of
modern views. The challenge for Ratzinger in understanding the proper interpretation of the Bible would derive from a "new freedom of thought which
the Enlightenment had advanced" being encountered in today's modern era.
Natural Epistemology
Etymologically speaking, psychology is the science of the soul. Following Aristotle's view of what would belong to the science of the soul, a proper
definition for psychology would be "the living being in so far as it is the principle of vital activities, in particular regarding those beings endowed with
immanent activity or the power to move themselves, considered as such." St. Thomas believed that psychology should be defined with respect to vital
activity as a whole, understanding the distinction of living and nonliving is more basic than that of conscious and non–conscious. Aristotle develops his
ideas using reason as a purely

advantages and effects that are desirable and essential to a learner that one dare not ignore. Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the entire

The fourth advantage of learning Spanish is that, it gives space for expansion and promotions for people at work. Most jobs require that one has at

wonderful idea for anyone. It would bring about more profits because of language proficiency in Spanish. This is a language that if not so many
people at work know it well, then one should grab the opportunity and learn it for the purpose of advancing at work.
When learning Spanish, it is interesting to think of it as the new English. Learning languages increases intellect. Spanish has many similarities with
English in terms of the vocabulary. These open up ones ideas and thinking to diversify a learner intellectually. It is a fact that learning a language like
Spanish leaves one sharper than anyone who just speaks, reads and writes English. Most children are advised to learn as many languages as they can.
Why is this? Foreign languages like Spanish broaden the mind and this is another reason why learning it is

David Hume’s an Enquiry Concerning the Principles of...
Hume was the first thinker to point out the implications of the "representative theory of perception." He had inherited this theory from both
his rationalist and empiricist predecessors. According to this view, when one says that he/she perceives something such as an apple, what it actually
means is that the one has in the mind a mental idea or image or impression. Such a datum is an internal, mental, subjective representation of something
that I assume to be an external, physical, fact. But there are, at least, two difficulties inherent in ascribing any truth to such perceptions. If truth is
understood as the adequacy between the image and the object, then it is impossible to infer that there is a true world of objects since... Show more

Feeling becomes both the judge and the capacity for judgement. Sympathy, as a fundamental human feeling, becomes a moral centre. Hume says that
the sympathy comes from the heart.
In human nature, the heart is the lodging for the inner quality. One with sympathy is susceptible to other's emotions, imbued with that important
quality of fellow–feeling. The "heart" dictates moral principles, "for one's innate goodness allows one to take directives from one's own body."
Hume devoted the second book "Treatise" to an account of the human passions and a discussion of their role in human decision making. "It is our
feelings or sentiments," Hume claimed, "that exert practical influence over human volition and action. Observation does reveal a constant conjunction
between having a motive (not a reason) for acting and performing the action in question. The notion of morals implies some sentiment common to all
mankind, which recommends the same object to general approbation, and makes every man, or most men, agree in the same opinion or decision
concerning it."
Reason is impossible without feeling, they are like two sides of a coin. They constantly affect each other. Hume's analysis of human belief starts with a
distinction between our mental contents. Impressions and emotions appear to be the direct and vivid products of immediate experience. Sympathy is an
original impression that later create its product in the form of ideas. Being a part

Top Reasons Why Branding Is Important
Question One A: Using your own words, summarize the seven reasons why branding is important.
1.Strong Brands Protect the Consumer
Brands have always served as sort of an emblem to consumers, that there would be a certain quality associated with that symbol. There are still many
many popular brands today that are able to be distinguished but, brands are standing out among the rest by gaining a strong positive reputation which
far exceeds the quality of there product. Brands ensure that they will provide consumers with a standard quality, and if they fail to do so their
reputation is tarnished. Brands fight for our money ever day and try to stand out by focusing more on innovation to one up the competition. Brands
also largely battle with price, which is a large part in the consumer decision. The brand and quality must be worth it otherwise customers will be lost to
the competition. Brands protect their consumers simply because they provide an innovative product that differs from the competitions product. At the
same time, they are ensuring that the quality is worth an appropriate price. This creates a strong and loyal customer base that will surely build the
brand a positive reputation.
2.Strong Brands Drive Share Performance
Powerful market performance has been proven to advance multiple components including the shareholders, the company itself, and pensions.
Organizations that have strongly branded portfolios have been seen to consistently surpass those organizations

The Curious Incident Of The Dog
Draft Haddon Paper.
In Haddon's novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night–Time, the objectivity of truth is placed into question. Throughout the book, Haddon is
able to assimilate to his readers the thoughts and experiences of a boy with autism. The way in which Christopher views the world, is drastically
distinctive from the majority of other persons. He is unable to distinguish a vast array of emotions and has difficulty emphasizing with and
understanding others. Christopher is only able to make sense of other's feelings and emotions through logical and literal interpretation. Ironically,
Christopher's own thoughts and emotions are void of this scrutiny. As a human being, Christopher is subject to feelings and emotions like everyone
else. As a result of his inability to make sense of emotions, he is often forced to construe reasons for his own illogical behavior. Through means of
Christopher's pretentious interpretations, Haddon is able to establish an underlying theme of subjectivity. One of the major components, of the work, is
subjectivity in truths. In the absence of emotion, there are no logical bounds for to lie or fabricate truth. To that end, Christopher feels himself incapable
of telling a lie; he can only explain experiences in the exact manner in which they occur. He does, however, make a distinction between telling a lie
and telling a white lie. When one tells a lie, they make up events that did not occur. When one tells a white lie, however,

The Importance Of Disobeying The Law Can Never Be Justified
In the Crato, Plato seems to argue that disobeying the law can never be justified. I strongly disagree with this statement, while laws serve a purpose
in maintaining stability, it is part of human nature to act on personal interest and some laws do not always favor one's action regardless if it's
justifiable. If a law is preventing certain people or groups from achiveing their interest in survival, equality, and success, than it should be considered
justifiable when disobeyed. The notion in forming a society is to preserve freedom and security, without these qualities, than society would be likely to
fail. This is how revolutions began by starting with disobyeing the law, and if the outcome of such act benefits towards human progress, than... Show

In addition, it is justifiable to disobey a law, one that is unjust.
Martin Luther King Jr. describes the essence of his actions by relating it to the most important historical figures such as Socrates, Martin Luther, Jesus,
and more. These are people in past events that disobeyed the law, one that they found to be unjust. The statement thatPlato is claiming to be true, goes
against the actions that these people have made, because they disobeyed the law. If this is in any way a true statemment, it will logically follow that
their acts was unjust, therefore, the consequences that they faced is doing justice. I am allowed to deduce this information from the statement, since, it
is ambigiuos and to promote justice is to demote injustice. Isn't an act that improves human personality, a measure of justice. By restating the
statement as its contraposivtive: A measure of injustice acts is to degrade human progress. We can see that this logically follows, thus, by disobeying
a law can indeed serve justice. Not always but the unjust laws. We see this through historical events, when Martin Luther King Jr. was sent to jail for
protesting without a permit. He even accepted the idea of needing a permit to protest but when higher authorites refuses to negociate and ignore his
actions, he was forced to take alternative actions that required to break the law. It is these laws that

What Is Modding And It Is Important For Many Reasons

  • 1. What Is Modding And It Is Important For Many Reasons Introduction Case, a first thing that one sees when looking at a computer, is important for many reasons. Primarily it is a box of metal that protects the parts inside from dust, damage, liquids, etc., but also can be a way in which the user can express himself or herself. There is a popular trend among PC builders to show off their rigs and let others express their opinions about the work they have created. As a matter of fact, there are events held all over the world where people make changes to the cases to match certain theme or design. This practice is called modding and it is exciting as you can create a case that no one else has and that will match your personality. Some modders are truly amazing at what they do and as many say "case modding can quickly become addictive. Once you start, it's difficult to stop" (PC Gamer. 2015). People have different styles and there is something for everyone– from simple and clean design to abstract and complicated one. Also cases come in many different sizes from very small mini–ITX to very big full towers, depending on what will be the computer's purpose. This essay will talk about a mid–tower PC case NZXT H440, company background and product's circuit of culture. A PC case that was modded to match Gulf colours (_0Cool_, (2015), GULF Performance by "_0Cool_") Company Background NZXT is a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. We Are All Humans? We are all humans. The same species. We were created equally, therefore we all should be treated equally until our actions make us deserve something different. If we are all humans we should never prejudge somebody because it will usually always be inaccurate. We may have many things that make us different from each other but something we all share is our humanity and the fact that we have feelings and emotions. Every human will always be unique no matter what. It doesn 't matter what race they are or where they come from or what gender they are or prefer. What makes us believe that all people of one group share the same characteristic and makes us hate each other for no reason are stereotypes. Stereotypes are the source of racism. It is what makes us think that we are separated into categories and we, as humans need to overcome that. What makes us different is our personalities not what we were born with. Fortunately the new people of my generation are open minded and racism along with bigotry will gradually die out. One of the sources of stereotypes is in the media, especially comedy. To most people this is harmless and we will just laugh about it but to younger people they are more susceptible and naive to what the media feeds their minds. Unfortunately some children might believe a stereotype said and then they may spread that stereotype to others their age. Once these stereotypes are spread they can infect the minds of more people even if the source acknowledges it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Importance Of Technology In The Classroom Today and around the world technology has become one of the important tools in the classroom and in our life. Technology has changed every level of the learning environment. Over the past 70 years, classrooms learning were different from today learning environments. Also, many high schools and colleges are embracing to new technology in the classrooms nearly every day and every year. Technology in the classroom has changed our classroom learning to another level, for students to be able to register their courses in the classroom on the computer. It has low students' academic performances, class activities, and failing grades. There are several reasons why technology should be allowed in the classroom, because of the positive influence on our academic performances, and research. First of all, technology should be allowed in the classroom because of these reasons. The first technology is making our educational system better every day. Technology in the classroom provides students a new way of thinking and it has become big parts of our lives. For examples Notes, books, computers, cellphone, projector, research and other resources should be allowed for students to use in the classroom and to checks their works. Instructors should not stop students' access to their courses learning tools that will help them benefit from it in the classroom. Another reason is that they should be allowed to print their homework in the classroom because some of the students do not have a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Critical Realism In The Prince Machiavelli The piece of work referred to is Machiavelli's great book "The Prince" which explains the nature of human nature and the way they act badly. The book can be used as a guiding book to leaders because of the advices Machiavelli was giving to the prince Lorenzo de Medici. The relevance of this book is to understand one's personal foundation in research therefore linking it to ontology and epistemology who both tend shape and mend the approach to theoretical and methodological thinking of a researcher. Ontology is a philosophical study which makes a researcher to believe and think more in the light of the nature of being while epistemology tends to make a researcher to believe in the theory of knowledge. They are both different but at a point they merge. They merge in trying to understand aspects of these terms in Machiavelli's book. How both of them merge to understand the piece of work is the purpose of this essay. Theoretical Framework ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Critical realism and ontology argue that there is a real world that exists notwithstanding of what we know or our perceptions or theories. They argue that there is a nature of being, critical realism and ontology on the other hand argues that there is a form of epistemological constructivism and that is the basis of our understanding of the world in which we live. • 6. How Galatians Is Important For Many Reasons Galatians is important for many reasons. To start off, it is among the earliest, if not the earliest, of all the writings in the New Testament. The letter gives us an idea of the problems that arose in the Christian churches after Jesus ' physical death, and most importantly, it reveals one of the most essential elements in Paul 's interpretation of Christianity. On this particular point, Paul made a definite break not only with Judaism but also, with Christians of Jewish descent who believed in the new religion in terms of obedience. To start off, it is important to understand what caused Paul to write the letter. This could also be recognized as the setting of the letter that provides some minor background information. The people in Galatia and the people of the church in Galatia came to successfully discredit Paul's position to be spreading the Christian Gospel. They also are questioning the accuracy of his interpretations of the Gospel. One of the main concerns is that Paul is not in a legitimate place of authority to be spreading the Gospel. The churches and followers even went so far as to charge that he was an impostor and was guilty of misleading the churches. In response to these accusations, Paul wrote the Letter to the Galatians. The reoccurring question from the people in Galatia and the Churches is whether Paul's claims of being an apostle to Jesus Christ can be trusted and whether or not Jesus Christ himself actually gave Paul the permission to continue the ... • 7. What Are The 3 Most Important Reasons For Study Principles... What are the 3 most important reasons to study principles of persuasion? The first reason it is important to study persuasion is to adapt to the technological age. In this age of technology as stated in Persuasion in Today's World the author examines persuasion and why it is important that we train ourselves to become responsible receivers of persuasion. (Larson, pg. 5) He does this by first explaining that the average American is exposed to over 5000 persuasive messages a day. It is important to train ourselves to be responsible receivers because persuasive messages have become a grammar of everyday life. These messages are received through a lexicon of different mediums from television to visual art, and also conversations with children. For example: I have a lot of nieces and a nephew who watch both Disney and nick Jr. both stations persuade parents with the idea of "learning" and they send messages of teaching leading the parents to believe it is ok for the children to watch. This creates tiny consumers that then ask their parents to buy them things associated with the shows and characters they watch in the programs. While a lot of these persuasive messages feed into the ideologies taught to us by other messages we learn from our parents or 'society.' Larson went on to say: "Persuasion is the result of combined efforts of source and receiver. Even in cases of terrorism and hostage taking, some hostages begin to identify with their captors."(Larson, Pg.11) While that last ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The Ideals of Rationalism The Rationalists are right to claim that knowledge is a priori and depends primarily on reason. Discuss. There is not one definition of rationalism because it means so many different things. The Rationalists believe that knowledge is gained a priori or independently of experience. You know that 4 + 3 = 7, and that this won't change wherever or you go to another country or to the moon. Knowledge of the world is gained through rational intuition (clear and distinct idea) and reasoning & understanding. A priori knowledge can be a hundred percent certain and is necessarily true. A priori can be divided into four types: Prior to experience, which means that you have the knowledge before any experience. This is innate knowledge. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Descartes' Wax example is a good example of how our a priori knowledge depends on reason. You know about wax, that it is yellow, doesn't have any smell, hard, solid, tasteless and scratchable etc. and that it gets squashy and lighter when warmed up. These sense experiences alone cannot account for our understanding because it is just a stream of incoming data. This proves that the mind must have innate abilities to form understanding when sense data is fed into it. It is the same with another example of Descartes about people in the street seen from above. His claims are that our sense experience tells us that there are hats and coats moving below. Our reasoning and understanding tells us they are people. In my opinion Rationalists are not always right to claim that knowledge is a priori and depends primarily on reason. In my opinion, you need to experience certain things before you can reason and understand it. For instance, if you haven't been to the Isle of Wight Festival, but you know what kind of music the bands are playing and you know what people are going, it doesn't make you know what the festival is like. This makes me closer to empiricism. On the other hand, though empiricism says that you know that 3 + 4 = 7 because you were taught this, I believe you have this is a priori knowledge primarily because of reason. I believe the ... First, most directly they arrested Nahum Cohn and his son friends of Anja's father and hung them. Secondly, Vladek and his family start to face the hardships brought on by the Nazis. During this chapter it is evident that the Nazis are trying to create a difficult environment for the Jews. They begin rationing goods and making it harder for Vladek's family to work. Most of the business done by Vladek or his father–in–law must be dealt with on the black market in order for the family to get their basic needs. Nahum Cohn and two other Jews were taken away for dealing goods without coupons. Vladek's and him father–in–law did quite a bit of business with him because he owned a dry goods store. Vladek also says he traded with one of the other men Pfefer, a Zionist. The German's hung the Jews in the street for a week to make an example. It no doubt was a large impact on Vladek. Throughout this whole chapter we see instances where the German's tighten their authority on the Jews. German's would take Jews for breaking minor laws or even no laws at all. It was harder to acquire a good amount of food. It was harder to find work or continue working in their old line of work. They were forced to move to from their home. Sell personal belongings. Family members taken away like Anja's grandparents. Many time they were corralled up with no idea what was happening a dilemma they faced at the stadium at Sosnowiec. This ... • 10. Human Nature Is A Complex System That Has Many Layers Of Human nature is a complex system that has many layers of its composition. With this, we tend to often ask ourselves "what consistencies are evident in the activity of happiness?" Happiness is presented to us in a variety of forms that point us in the direction of having the same end result. Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, and Lewis each provided their own unique views on the accounts of happiness that are portrayed through human nature. With this, there are consistent principles of human nature that relate to happiness through being self–absorbed, finding pleasure, obedient, and moral. To begin, it is only natural that as humans, we are self–absorbed. When an opportunity provides itself for us to speak highly or of tragedy of oneself, we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Curiosity fuels the desire to know more, yet God is already knowing all (2, 6, 13). Also, Augustine was able to take sex and turn it into a vice. Augustine and his peers took pleasure in the act of sex and pleasure in talking about it (2, 1, 1). These ways of pleasure blindly led Augustine away from finding a true happiness during his youth. Next, obedience is one of the complex layers of happiness within human nature. Obedience plays a major role in finding happiness with oneself and God. It was evident with Augustine that his mother, Monica, devoted her life to being an obedient wife, mother, and worshiper of Christ. Her obedience is a demonstration of her devotion to God. Also, Lewis believed that until you give yourself to God, you will not understand your real self. However, once you have discovered your true self, do not mistake this for ultimate power and place yourself in comparison with God (49). Obedience to oneself comes with the acceptance and following of God. Following, morality is something we as humans cannot control. As much as we would like to be in control of this, Augustine suggests otherwise. Morality is a social convention that disables us from judging others. This is best understood when taught. (11–12). Moral virtues, as discussed by Aristotle, are the "disposition of desire, trained by habitual action, and in cooperation with reason, to act honorably and appropriately, as circumstances ... • 11. The Doctrine Of The Divine Command Theory The Divine Command Theory dictates that "An act is morally required just because it is commanded by God, and immoral just because God forbids it (Shafer–Landau 65)." This view is often accepted by religious people as the basis for morality; the morality of an action is determined by whether or not it is commanded by God. However, there are multiple problems presented by this line of thinking. One of the most common arguments against this theory is known as the Euthyphro Dilemma, derived from Plato's account of Socrates questioning Euthyphro about the determinant of piety, albeit in relation to the polytheistic Greek system of belief. In this account, Socrates asks if "...the gods love actions because they are pious, or are actions pious because the gods love them?" This inquiry can also obviously be applied to the modern, monotheistic interpretation of the Divine Command Theory. As Euthyphro struggles to answer the question, Socrates details the premises that lead to the conclusion that the gods love actions because of their piety, and not the other way around. This refutes the Divine Command Theory, and lays out a rather logical argument that explains the flaws in accepting it. While the argument of the Euthyphro Dilemma is apparently logically sound, one potential objection is that it limits the nature of morality to two distinct options, and excludes the possibility that moral goodness is what corresponds to God's nature: God did not arbitrarily designate morality to ... Plato claims this along with the rising characteristic of self–love results in the danger of "treating fellow citizens not as friends but as 'foemen,' thereby destroying the love of fellow citizens that is necessary for the common love" (Nirenberg II). In a self–interested society an individual wants to believe he or she is right, yet when it comes to truth he or she often hears the phrase "everyone is entitled to his or her own truth." What is the reason behind this statement? As seen in the Glass Menagerie, Amanda's world is a mix of reality and fantasy where the idea of love (rather than true love) takes hold of her on a day–to–day basis. Amanda recalls, "your mother received–seventeen!–gentleman callers! ... Among my callers were some of the most prominent young planters of Mississippi Delta" (8). Amanda treats love and the act of finding love as a prize and game, respectively; Amanda puts her self before the gentlemen, retreating to the narcissistic state of human development. The reason for her mistaking the idea of love for true love is the fact she was raised in a culture that taught her to mistake appearance with substance. While Tennessee Williams may agree truth and memory can be subjective, objectivity is necessary in the race for finding love that makes life meaningful. We naturally are so attached with close person such as family, friends and relatives. According to dictionary.com, ethics is a system of moral principles and a rules of conduct in respect to a particular human. There is a scene from the movie, Fast and Furious, where it exemplifies the difference between emotion and reason decision. In that scene, there is a guy and a girl who used to be in a relationship five years ago but he ditched her after tearing her family apart. That guy calls the girl to meet him all of the sudden after five years in a cafe. She asks him why she called her to meet after five years and he replies back ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It's mostly family because almost all family looks the good in their family member and wouldn't choose to hurt them so they make decision by their emotion. If a close person cares about reason more than emotion than that means that they are showing lack of trust which could eventually hurt that close person. The example given above from Fast and Furious, the guy has an emotional attachment with the girl which is why he went back just to caution her from the bad people. This shows that ethics is more important emotionally rather than with a reason. In these kinds of cases the knowledge "In the process of forming both personal and shared ethics reason is more important than emotion" is incorrect because reason is not always important as emotion. Emotion may be more important than reason. We also tend to make bad decisions emotionally because we trust them so much that everything that they say or do feels like it's right though it could be wrong. Even in an ethical example, if the first person feels and thinks that it is the right thing to do, they would do it but for second person, the same thing could be the wrong. This is found most clearly in the men of the loftiest genius and greatest souls. They wonder why they should toil and strain in life when it is much easier to do the basic necessities. However, many people of the past and present have sacrificed their lives for something that they believe in and value. This can be many different ideas and institutions of life. Many that sacrifice do this because of the thought that their names and deeds would continue after them. They believed in the idea of immortality, not of the body, but rather of the soul and that it will continue long after them. This is supported by the voice of nature and the general opinion of people. Those in great power believe in this idea and this motivates their actions. This idea even carries over to even poets and philosophers with their desire for fame even after their death. Their view towards death is important in how they live their lives. A forward thinking mindset is useful for life and how they prepare for death. This adds to the value of their lives and the work they perform. I agree that we are aware of the future and act accordingly with the pursuit of higher things in life. Immorality is an important motivator of how we act. Admittedly, there is a humanitarian argument involved here, that being that a defining characteristic of the human race is to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Naturally, the boy is the most vulnerable, and would be the first person saved, if one was to follow this flow of logic. Conversely, this logic is in fact deeply flawed, for it is the farthest thing from humanitarian to do this, in such a scenario. As the boy cannot feed himself, he clearly does not have usage of his arms, and is therefore paralyzed from the shoulders down, which leaves him almost entirely dependant upon others. For this reason, other passengers on the lifeboat would have to exhaust their own limited energy to assist the child, and potentially put themselves at risk in the process. Even if, by some miracle, the boy was to survive the grueling trip, there is simply no life ahead for someone who cannot use any of their limbs, save one of anguish, despair, and longing. Cultural Relativism Is Important For Many Reasons Cultural Relativism is defined as, "The principle that an individual 's beliefs and activities should be understood by others in terms of that individual 's own culture". Wilson talked about this term extensively in his class and he noticed a common trend within his classroom. The trend was that his students warned him, "Not to be 'judgmental ' or to 'impose your values on other people."(Soccio 2007). This is a common trend found with a lot of people in my opinion. Tolerance is another good quality that comes with cultural relativism. Tolerance helps us have a sort of explanation on why other cultures act the way they do. This practice is considered highly wrong in American cultures, but is considered morally acceptable in cultures like the Eskimo (Rachels 2015). What a lot of people forget to take into account is the reason the Eskimos perform infanticide. It is not because they are cruel people, no, it is because they are thinking about the possible future life of the child and the future life of their village. I don't think Skidmore killed his brother for three reasons, the storyteller, how long ago this happened, and Boddlebrooks weight. For my first reason as to why Skidmore is innocent, is about the narrator. From the way we're told the story, it seems as though a child is telling the story. This is important for a couple of reasons. One being a child's story telling is always exaggerated. The narrator probably heard this tale from his parents or a buddy, and after getting passed from ear to ear, and along the way, details were added, twisted, or completely changed. I can bring my own experience into this for credit. I know first hand how a rumor or statement can start with one person, and make its way through a small school and come out the other end a completely different rumor. So I have absolutely no problem assuming that this is the case in Boddlebrooke's story. Humans are placed in the centre, because God grants us the ability to reason–the ability to distinguish what is true from what is false (Descartes, 22). Below us rest animals, having no reason. Truth in nature therefore, must not come from animals since they are lesser beings, but rather, it must be found within humans. White finds appreciation for the external nature which Descartes considers to be "less certain" (Descartes, 28). While Descartes takes a rational approach, White takes a scientific, yet literary means toward nature. He observes nature ardently, noting animals' modes of life–housing, reproduction, communications, transportation, and physical appearance. His ability to personify these animals creates "a meeting place for wild life and human feeling" (White, xvii). In his recordings for example, White observes the swallow's mode of life. Hannan Chakkar December 2nd 2014 Section #2 Unknown #6 Abstract: Introduction: Identification of bacteria is important for a verity of reasons, determining if a bacteria is normal flora, or potentially pathogenic as well as determining the bacterial source of an infection or outbreak. Identifying the bacteria is crucial when treating a bacterial infection because the correct antimicrobial or antibiotic must be used to successfully eliminate the infection and this cannot be done without the identity of the bacteria. Selecting the correct antibiotic is critical when dealing with an infection since not all antibiotics are equally effective against bacteria. Finding the identity of the bacteria causing the infection allows the doctor to prescribe the appropriate antibiotic. Unfortunately looking at only cell or colony morphology cannot lead to a conclusive result because there are many similarities in colony and cell morphology even among the eight bacteria used in this experiment. This is the most important thing because when you question things you learn more, and when learn more you will be able to teach more. When you read something you do not want to just read it and not learn anything from it, then there would have been no purpose in reading it. Writers do not just write papers so they can tell the reader what is right or wrong. They write to explain their theory, to make others understand where they are coming from and the logic behind them. A writer can accomplish composing a "good" piece of writing by making sure he has logical reasoning behind their statements, by making it noticeable when they transition into explaining another point, and when by not letting their personal feelings be put ahead of their logical reasons, and by making the reader question them. These are not only important for the author but it is also important for the reader. • 29. Ethical Virtue Is A State Of The Soul The definition of ethical virtue is one of the difficult themes that are often discussed by many philosophers. In Nicomachean Ethicsв…Ў.6, Aristotle defines ethical virtue as '(a) a state that decides,(b) in a mean, (c) the mean relative to us, (d) which is defined by reference to reason, (e) i.e. to the reason by reference to which the intelligent person would define it.' (NEв…Ў.6) But, this definition itself is complex. Then, in this paper, I will explain what he means by this and evaluate this definition. First, Aristotle claims virtue should be a state that makes a human good and makes him function well. In Nicomachean Ethicsв…Ў.5, he concluded that ethical virtue is a state of the soul. On the basis of this conclusion, he starts to discuss what kind of state is ethical virtue. Then, as a premise, he defines every virtue should make its possessors be in a good state and perform their functions well. The virtue of a horse, for example, makes the horse excellent because it is good at galloping, at running, and at carrying its rider. In the case of human being, therefore, the virtue is the state that makes a human being good and perform his or her function well. Next, he claims mean states should be ethical virtue. A mean is a middle or intermediate between excess and deficiency. He claims those extreme states are vices because they make human being perform worse. Bravery, for example, is a virtue that makes people deal with a difficult situation with confidence. If, however, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. The Achievement Habit : Stop Wishing, Start Doing, And... Reasons are Bullshit The book The Achievement Habit: Stop wishing, Start doing, and Take Command of Your Life by Bernard Roth is an appealing book. Roth was a professor at Stanford University where he taught many students. Roth has a couple key points in chapters one and two. The key point that is most interesting is Reasons Are Bullshit. As Roth said "The problem with reasons is that they are just excuses prettied up". (The Achievement Habit, Page 39). Bernard Roth uses the statement Reasons Are Bullshit to make points about life or when things do not have enough priority they tend to be put off till the last minute, Roth makes valid points of why Reasons Are Bullshit. It really is a great argument about how his reasons are bullshit because they are not a valid reason to something of your own fault. Roth gives a sense of authority and trust as a writer by telling us the truth about why reasons are crap. When he is his own authority over himself, Roth gives excuses to why he was not there, or why he did not do that on time. Roth tells about why excuses are called reasons because they tend to get used a lot when people are finding a way out of something. When Roth writes to his readers he uses words, phrases, and tone to speak the message. Roth uses words that are spiritual, his belief of words or ones that are not quite unfamiliar but ones that we do not see every day that makes the reading juicy. Roth seems like a very knowledgeable man when he is writing about why ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. The Importance Of Superstitions There are two types of people in this world, the people who follow superstitions and people that dont. Superstitions play a big role in today's society to the point where people will go about their day due to a superstition. If a superstition that told them they were going to have bad luck because of walking under a ladder, they are probably going to be more likely to believe something that is not true. An event like this took place in the book ВЁ Julius CaesarВЁ when Julius was told to beware of the ides of march he did not listen. Some say that believing this saying would have saved his life. However it must be taken into account the other reasons why it could have happened. In this essay we will analyze and explain on why superstitions are not to be trusted and followed. One way superstitions are influencing our lives is people believing certain triggers of good and bad luck, according to the us news ВЁ25 percent of people in the U.S. say they are "very" or "somewhat" superstitious in generalВЁ (Colino 1). When people see a black cat or a penny on the wrong side, it is generally associated with bad luck. In reality a perfectly good penny was just passed up due to ВЁbad luckВЁ. Most of the time its just as harmless as passing up a penny, but that's not the case with everyone. Sometimes people let superstitions keep them from doing everyday tasks. This is important because people are letting rumors and myths that have a pretty big chance of being incorrect completely change ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Perennial Philosophy And Science Of The Soul Introduction To comprehend the contours of perennial philosophy and to better understand how to interpret reality properly, it would be necessary to look into what Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger would suggest in order to establish a proper hermeneutics of interpreting the Scriptures. This paper will briefly discuss the areas of natural epistemology followed by analogy and participation and finally, Divine and human agency and the life of virtue. It will conclude by incorporating a summarization of the three areas into what Cardinal Ratzinger's "Erasmus Lecture" hoped in hearing reality in light of modern views. The challenge for Ratzinger in understanding the proper interpretation of the Bible would derive from a "new freedom of thought which the Enlightenment had advanced" being encountered in today's modern era. Natural Epistemology Etymologically speaking, psychology is the science of the soul. Following Aristotle's view of what would belong to the science of the soul, a proper definition for psychology would be "the living being in so far as it is the principle of vital activities, in particular regarding those beings endowed with immanent activity or the power to move themselves, considered as such." St. Thomas believed that psychology should be defined with respect to vital activity as a whole, understanding the distinction of living and nonliving is more basic than that of conscious and non–conscious. Aristotle develops his ideas using reason as a purely ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 34. David Hume’s an Enquiry Concerning the Principles of... Hume was the first thinker to point out the implications of the "representative theory of perception." He had inherited this theory from both his rationalist and empiricist predecessors. According to this view, when one says that he/she perceives something such as an apple, what it actually means is that the one has in the mind a mental idea or image or impression. Such a datum is an internal, mental, subjective representation of something that I assume to be an external, physical, fact. But there are, at least, two difficulties inherent in ascribing any truth to such perceptions. If truth is understood as the adequacy between the image and the object, then it is impossible to infer that there is a true world of objects since... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Feeling becomes both the judge and the capacity for judgement. Sympathy, as a fundamental human feeling, becomes a moral centre. Hume says that the sympathy comes from the heart. In human nature, the heart is the lodging for the inner quality. One with sympathy is susceptible to other's emotions, imbued with that important quality of fellow–feeling. The "heart" dictates moral principles, "for one's innate goodness allows one to take directives from one's own body." Hume devoted the second book "Treatise" to an account of the human passions and a discussion of their role in human decision making. "It is our feelings or sentiments," Hume claimed, "that exert practical influence over human volition and action. Observation does reveal a constant conjunction between having a motive (not a reason) for acting and performing the action in question. The notion of morals implies some sentiment common to all mankind, which recommends the same object to general approbation, and makes every man, or most men, agree in the same opinion or decision concerning it." Reason is impossible without feeling, they are like two sides of a coin. They constantly affect each other. Hume's analysis of human belief starts with a distinction between our mental contents. Impressions and emotions appear to be the direct and vivid products of immediate experience. Sympathy is an original impression that later create its product in the form of ideas. Being a part ... There are still many many popular brands today that are able to be distinguished but, brands are standing out among the rest by gaining a strong positive reputation which far exceeds the quality of there product. Brands ensure that they will provide consumers with a standard quality, and if they fail to do so their reputation is tarnished. • 36. The Curious Incident Of The Dog Draft Haddon Paper. In Haddon's novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night–Time, the objectivity of truth is placed into question. Throughout the book, Haddon is able to assimilate to his readers the thoughts and experiences of a boy with autism. The way in which Christopher views the world, is drastically distinctive from the majority of other persons. He is unable to distinguish a vast array of emotions and has difficulty emphasizing with and understanding others. Christopher is only able to make sense of other's feelings and emotions through logical and literal interpretation. Ironically, Christopher's own thoughts and emotions are void of this scrutiny. As a human being, Christopher is subject to feelings and emotions like everyone else. As a result of his inability to make sense of emotions, he is often forced to construe reasons for his own illogical behavior. Through means of Christopher's pretentious interpretations, Haddon is able to establish an underlying theme of subjectivity. One of the major components, of the work, is subjectivity in truths. In the absence of emotion, there are no logical bounds for to lie or fabricate truth. To that end, Christopher feels himself incapable of telling a lie; he can only explain experiences in the exact manner in which they occur. He does, however, make a distinction between telling a lie and telling a white lie. When one tells a lie, they make up events that did not occur. When one tells a white lie, however, ... • 37. The Importance Of Disobeying The Law Can Never Be Justified In the Crato, Plato seems to argue that disobeying the law can never be justified. I strongly disagree with this statement, while laws serve a purpose in maintaining stability, it is part of human nature to act on personal interest and some laws do not always favor one's action regardless if it's justifiable. If a law is preventing certain people or groups from achiveing their interest in survival, equality, and success, than it should be considered justifiable when disobeyed. The notion in forming a society is to preserve freedom and security, without these qualities, than society would be likely to fail. This is how revolutions began by starting with disobyeing the law, and if the outcome of such act benefits towards human progress, than... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In addition, it is justifiable to disobey a law, one that is unjust. Martin Luther King Jr. describes the essence of his actions by relating it to the most important historical figures such as Socrates, Martin Luther, Jesus, and more. These are people in past events that disobeyed the law, one that they found to be unjust. The statement thatPlato is claiming to be true, goes against the actions that these people have made, because they disobeyed the law. If this is in any way a true statemment, it will logically follow that their acts was unjust, therefore, the consequences that they faced is doing justice. I am allowed to deduce this information from the statement, since, it is ambigiuos and to promote justice is to demote injustice. Isn't an act that improves human personality, a measure of justice. By restating the statement as its contraposivtive: A measure of injustice acts is to degrade human progress. We can see that this logically follows, thus, by disobeying a law can indeed serve justice. Not always but the unjust laws. We see this through historical events, when Martin Luther King Jr. was sent to jail for protesting without a permit. He even accepted the idea of needing a permit to protest but when higher authorites refuses to negociate and ignore his actions, he was forced to take alternative actions that required to break the law.
