I have learned several things throughout this course, for example, the type of federal government of the United States, four important philosophers, and
abundance of the U.S Constitution. First of all, The United States has a democratic republican government. There are three branches of government
called the Legislative branch, Executive branch, and judicial branch. The Legislative branch makes laws. The United States Congress is the legislative
branch of the federal government. (Federal government of the United States., 2015) It has two chambers which are the House of Representatives and
the Senate. The Executive branch enforces the laws. For example, the president, vice–president, and executive offices make up this branch. The

Separation of powers is a principle of the U.S. government, where powers and responsibilities are divided by the legislative branch, executive branch,
and judicial branch. Each branch may choose to prevent action of the other branches through the system of checks and balances. The framers of the
Constitution designed this system to make sure that no branch would gain too much power and that issues of public policy and welfare would be
given consideration before any action was taken. The concept of Separation of Powers is included in the Constitution in the 1st Article, in the 2nd
Article, and in the 3rd Article. The Legislative is composed of the House and Senate, which is set up in Article 1. The Executive includes of the
President, Vice–President, and the departments, which is set up in Article 2. The Judicial is composed of the federal courts and the Supreme Court,
which is set up in Article 3. The different branches of government have different responsibilities. In the Executive branch they veto power over all
bills, makes treaties, and ensures all laws are carried out. In the Legislature branch they pass all federal laws, establish all lower federal courts, they

on Election Day. 47 percent of Texas voters claimed to be supporters of the Tea Party. Their turnout produced a Republican gain of twenty
–two seats in
the Texas House of Representatives.
There are at least two threats that the Tea Party currently faces. The first threat is the anti–Tea Party meme; which is a construct of liberal media
calling the Tea Party dangerous extremists. However, the Tea Party has debunked this charge through habitually civil behavior. Another part of the
anti–Tea Party meme is charges of racism. However, the fading of large Tea Party gatherings have taken away opportunities to demonstrate large
crowds of white people as a sign of racism.
A second threat to the Tea Party is the threat of widespread voter fraud. If voter fraud is too widespread, the efforts of the Tea Party may not be enough
to "counteract the get–out–the–vote efforts of Tea Party organizations across the nation" (Cary, 2).
There is no single agenda of the Tea Party. This allows each autonomous group to set its own priorities. Tea Party organizers view this as strength,
because this aids against corruption from within and co–opting by outside entities. The Tea Party's

The House of Representatives and the Senate have many differences between the two yet share the somewhat the same goals. Both the House and
Senate where first designed by the founding fathers to divide Congress into two chambers, each with a say on topics, to employ a checks and
balancing system to prevent tyranny. Both the House and the Senate fall within the legislative branch, which is charged with Lawmaking,
Representation, Legislative Oversight, and Constituency service. Today's Congress consists of 535 members; "100 senators (two from each state) and
435 voting members of the House of Representatives "(Oleszek, Walter J., 2013). The House of Representatives has so many more people because the
House represent individual districts
