2. Technical Stuff…
I used Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Garageband throughout my
production…
Indesign is awfully complicated. Till this day I still struggle with
Indesign as I was confused in how things work and what kind of
functions have an effect on my production..
The different tools just confuse me a lot and I just didn’t know how I
can incorporate these functions into my production as it’s an industry
standard tool which people use to publish items…
I don’t understand how I can I create articles that fit and look
professional with the use of the functions in Indeisgn.
My aim for the furture is to understand how every single function
works, including how to use the gradient tool and how it improves
my productions.
3. Technical Stuff
In terms of which softwares I’m confident in, I believe my
photoshops skill have improved massively, as I not only
used blending options, but the saturation, hue, brightness
tools to improve the overall quality of my magazine
images.
I also learnt how to create images with different color
tones and also how to make them a certain style.
Even though it was my first time using garageband, I had
a fairly pleasant experience with the software as the
software wasn’t hard to control. But I had a little issue with
the volume control which I had to create a fade in.
However after our media technician showed me, I’m now
able to grasp the skill.
4. Photography Skills..
I have upgraded my camera from a canon powershot g12
(point and shoot) to a canon 6D (DSLR)
I had no idea what ISO, White balance, aperture meant
last year…
But after intensive research, I finally understood what they
meant and I have control in how my images should look
like.
I now understand how to create images with a depth of
field.
I also progressed by from using auto mode to manual
mode!!!
5. Photography Skills…
I believe I can explore more of portraits better,
because my angles were not good enough, which
meant that sometimes the images weren’t straight
and a bit to the side.
I think I can also decrease the ISO of my camera in
the future for outdoor shoots because it makes my
images washed out.
I could have also used my flash in indoor shoots,
because sometimes lighting in certain places are not
as liable, and seem a bit to dark.
