3. Use challenge develop Poster
• Red: Use: I have used things with red arrows I will mention talking as if moving down the page.
• I have used the position of the font at the top to break up the page.
• I also used the eye as it is a conventional image of my genre, relating to the previous idea it is the
gateway to the soul.
• I have positioned the character inside of the eye as I saw it as intimidating and effective.
• I also used the writing at the bottom as I saw it as the most effective place and it is characteristic
of this genre.
• Blue: Challenge: the first thing I challenged was the position of the title as I saw it as more eye
catching to be at the top of the page.
• The second arrow is for the type of font im using as I believe mine brings in a larger audience as it
is more classical of the genre and will relate to the slightly older generation.
• The final thing I challenged was the position of the distribution and the production companies
logos as I believe they are often on posters.
• Green: develop: I developed the image in the middle of the eye I wished to make it more
intimidating and relate it to another film thus the murderer with a cut throat razor.
• The last one I developed is the amount of eye you can see I believed it would have been far more
interesting if you cant see the image straight away and have to work out the image.
5. Use challenge develop Front Cover
• Use: I have used the exclusive part at the top of the page because I believe it adds a
great effect to the page.
• I used the colour of the title as I know red is the most effective sales colour.
• Finally I put all the text on the left of the page because against convention I wanted
people to pay attention to the images.
• Challenge: I challenged the font we usually see as conventional for the masthead as I
believe the one I used is easier to read and isn’t as sharp which is nicer on the eyes.
• I also challenged what happens on the right side of the page as I wanted to use more
images and remove more writing yet not waste space.
• Finally I used three images not one as I learnt it gives you a foreground middle
ground and background to your page making it more eye catching.
• Develop: I only really developed one thing on my magazine cover and that was the
right side as I didn’t want any over crowding of text I wanted the magazine to look
slightly more relaxed.
