2. Photoshop
• At the beginning of this process of constructing my media product I
originally wanted to use Photoshop as I was familiar with it from GCSE
media studies. However I found that the techniques that I needed to know
became of urgency when constructing my media product. One technique
that I learnt while creating my media product was that I needed to learn how
to mask an object so that I would be able to revert any problems that I had
with the product rather than just using the Lasso-tool and deleting everything
along with it.

3. InDesign
• While using InDesign for the first time I wasn’t much of a fan of it due to it
being a completely new software that we had to learn as I was more
comfortable around Photoshop. However in the end result I found that
using InDesign was the better alternative as I found it was more professional
and had options that Photoshop couldn’t pull off. One thing that I have
learnt while using InDesign is how to place an individual behind words or
another image to have the effect that other magazines use such as vibe where
they would have their main image on top of their mast head.

4. Camera
• When constructing my photos while using an actual camera I didn’t realise
how difficult it actually was to get the right shot. One example was where
with my main image I had to end up retaking that photo about four to five
times roughly due to the environment that we were in and the lighting being
focused at his hair rather than his whole body giving him a fake contrasted
look. With the camera I have learnt how to position myself in the right spot
with the right environment and how to steady the camera so that when I am
about to take shot the camera will frame the individuals face before taking
the photo.

5. Prezi
• I didn’t actually know that there was a software called Prezi and when I
discovered it and began using it I disliked it very much however I still used it
as a different format of presenting my evaluation questions. One thing that I
have learnt while using Prezi is that when inserting images into your
presentation is that if you cut and paste them onto the presentation they will
come out blurred so the better way around doing so is actually inserting the
images through Prezi.

6. Slide share
• Slide share is one of the best formats of technology that I have used due to
it being very easy and very understandable. While using slide share I learnt
how to convert my power point slide onto the website and through that
make a decent presentation of my work. The only downside to slide share is
that there is a limit to the amount of work that you can produce during a
certain period of time which limits the software however it is still very
applicable to multiple different things.
