1. Question 6: What have you learnt
about technologies from the process
of constructing this product?
2. Weebly
• Weebly is the web blogging service that I used
to keep all of my work on. This has taught me
a lot about how to keep my work organised
and has also taught me to always back up my
work after an early scare.
3. Photoshop
• I used Photoshop to touch up my images for the
front page, contents page as well as my two page
spread. This year I learnt a lot more about the
program than I did in GCSE where I only grasped
the basics of it while this year I learnt how to
properly adjust the contrast and how to edit the
more acute details of the pictures as opposed to
simply using it to get rid of blemishes. For
example without the use of Photoshop I would
not have been to give my Front page the right
contrast to make it seem as professional as a feel
it currently is.
4. The Camera
• I used a Nikon d3300 HDSLR to get a good
quality and professional looking magazine. I
knew nothing about how to use a camera like
this before the start of this course and I now
know how to take a focused and properly lit
photo without any help which I am sure will
help me in future media projects.
5. Prezi
• I used Prezi for my evaluation as it is a
intuitive program that lets me easily showcase
important parts of my project in a form that is
accessible to all. It has meant that 2 of my
evaluation questions were done with relative
ease as a result.
6. Publisher
• Microsoft publisher is what I used to assemble
all the fragments of magazine together and
create the Front Cover, Two page spread and
the contents page. I found publisher far more
intuitive than Photoshop for actually
assembling the magazine and as a result
decided to use it predominantly for the
construction process.
