3. YouTube was very useful during my research and planning stages. It enabled
me to watch a vast amount of other music videos be it professional ones or
other students ones as well as access to thousands of songs. In addition to
this, we uploaded all of our audience feedbacks, filming vlogs and our final
music video on to here. This was one of the most important new technologies
throughout the whole process.
This the platform in which I used to create my blog and present my
coursework. I was able to chose my own theme In which I felt fitted
with the mood and tone of the information I was presenting.
WordPress allowed me to keep all of my documents and coursework
all in one place and presented my information in a visually pleasing
way.
This was one of the other main research tools I used during my research
and planning stages. This allowed me to gather song lyrics, artist/director
back ground information, theorists and much more.
4. This has been used multiple times on my blog. This
website allowed me to upload power points and word
documents online. WordPress unfortunately wont allow you
to simply upload a PowerPoint or word document straight
onto the website so by using SlideShare I was easily able to
embed my work on my blog.
I used this online software to create an animated storyboard. Although I
did a handwritten storyboard I though it would be more visually pleasing
to create one on here. I could create animated characters, settings and
props with the use of this.
This was used to edit our vlogs of our days of filming. We recorded our vlogs
on an iPhone and this software is readily available on apple products. This was
a quick and simple way of creating our short videos. It had great features such
as adding a filter over the footage so it fitted in with the theme of my blog.
This is the website that we used to make our final Digipak. This
app came with ready made templates in which you can insert
your own images and ideas on to and creates a very effective
finished piece.
5. For our music video, we used a Cannon d600 camera. This
particular camera was of high quality which meant that our
footage was sharp and crisp. This made our footage look very
professional which, as a result, made our music video look much
more realistic.
This was the editing software we used to edit our main music video and
our audience feedback videos. This software is relatively simple and easy
to understand which came In handy. It meant we were able to take
advantage of features such as cross fading, slow motion, colour
corrector and apply them to our music video which made them look
more effective.
For our filming day vlogs we used our IPhone 6s’ to film what we were
doing. We did this to keep footage separate i.e. our music video on the
Cannon d600 and the vlog on the IPhone. This made our lives so much
easier when it came to editing our footage and we still maintained good
quality footage with the IPhone camera.
I used this camera to film mine and my groups preliminary task video which was
provided by the school. We found the quality of this camera to be a bit blurry at
times so we decided to use a higher quality camera to film our main music
video.
