San Elizario
San Elizario is a beautiful small town, with a loving and united community. It has a historical background in which it makes it even more special. We
see many tourists hang at the Placita where the chapel is located but I am sure the tourists are aware of the surroundings, like the houses, and the
streets, they are not pleasurable to watch. There is countless of trash around the streets, also including the houses' front yards. I come to propose if we
put more trash cans all around town, there would be less littering. To increase sanitation, we can set up community walks at least once a month, to
clean our yards and the streets around the area we live in. As a result, the entire community will benefit by this cleanup project. For this to happen,...

For example, when a single string is pulled, it rips, but when multiple strings are put together and they are pulled, it is harder to be ripped apart.
With this being said let's all come together as one, because alone we can only do so little, and together we can accomplish so much more. Encourage
your children to throw trash in the trash can and not on the floor, but set the example first. It all starts at home; I encourage for you to clean your
yard, like picking up trash and cutting weeds. As a result, I guarantee your kids will watch and will get motivated to do it too, and who knows your
actions can even motivate a neighbor. And now that we are getting more people involve, it's time to expand from our homes to the streets, to then the

My Courage In Life
Courage is different for everyone, but no matter the description everyone experiences moments during life where they have to be courageous. I
believe courage is being brave enough to face your fears and overcome adversities, and not look back. Many people's fears decrease as they face
them more, but for me mine only got worse the more I moved, and the older I got. For many people they have to find courage to face new places
and situations, which is where I have found the most courage in my life. Change is not easy and leaving everything you know is hard but I had to
become courageous to overcome what I was faced with, and these difficulties have changed my life and made me a person I would have never
been without them. Each person finds courage in their darkest and hardest moments in life, and here is mine. Six year olds don't know anything
right? So as I sat waving from the giant moving truck to my family and friends, I had no idea my life was about to be flipped upside down and
changed forever. At six it did not take courage for me to move halfway across the country, it was fun, a new adventure. Or so it seemed. New
school, new friends, and a big new house. I moved again when I was six, and yet again I didn't care. It was my third move and this one I was even
more excited about, because I got to move by my cousins who were my best friends. In Michigan I spent the next three years making friends, having
fun, and being happy. Something changed during those years

A Short Story : A Story?
Arriving home from a business trip in Charlotte, Jerry went to play golf with his friend, as Marlene showered and dressed to go shopping. "I
shouldn't wear these," she said, removing her favorite earrings, putting them in the jewelry box. She selected another pair and picked up her
diamond necklace. After putting on fresh lipstick, she checked to make sure she looked perfect before leaving the house. +++ After ringing the
doorbell several times, pounding on the door, Karen screamed, "Wake up, Dan. Wake up, Dan! I need your help." Ready to go to another
neighbor's house, she heard him say, "Hold on I'm coming!" After opening the front door, Karen saw her neighbor standing in the doorway wearing
only his boxer shorts and a tee shirt. He asked, "What's wrong? Karen, what's your problem?" Weeping, she said, "Something is wrong with
Katherine. I think she is dead, come quick." "Just a minute," he said, rushing into the house and returned putting on his pants. "Where is she?"
Motioning for him to follow her, Karen ran across the lawn and stopped by the fence, pointing toward the side of the house, she said, "She's over
there." Rushing to the back of the house to check Katherine, Dan asked, "Have you called 911?" "No, but I will," Karen said, hurrying into her house
and returned shortly, "I called them. They're on the way." "We should wait out front," Dan said, going up the driveway. Stuttering, Karen asked, "Is
she, I mean is Katherine still alive?" "I don't think

Amy Efaw
The book After, written by Amy Efaw, is an addictive, action
–packed book. The fiction story is about a girl named Devon Sky Davenport who was
pregnant, but in denial. She wakes up one morning, sick, and stays home from school that day. That night, she gives birth at home by herself, and
throws the baby in the trash after putting it in a garbage bag. Devon goes to jail where she makes friends and has to cooperate with her lawyer. Devon
can't remember anything from the night when she gave birth but as things start clicking into place, Devon realizes what she has done, and starts
having suicidal thoughts. Devon must tell her lawyer the details, although it is hard, so she can be tried in a juvenile court and only get 5 years, but if
she doesn't... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author uses a great deal of detail when describing characters. For example, the author wrote, "Yellow...yellow. The color of Devon's mom's
hair. The color of a sun breaking through the flat gray clouds. Of a lemon drop. Devon allows her eyes to droop closed for a moment." I can
distinctly imagine the appearance of the characters because the author uses the detail that he does. The plot of this book moves quickly because
she starts to remember things from That Night from flashbacks that happen often. The text reads, "She steps slightly closer to him, lets her
shoulder brush his arm as they walk hand in hand. Lets her hip bump into his. Once. Then. Twice...." The author uses plenty of imagery when
describing places and people. For example, the author wrote, "Devon's eyes skim over the room's three rectangular tables and finds that vacant
seat indicated. It's beside the pale girl with the breads. The girl scoots her chair back to make room for Devon, presenting the seat with an open
hand, her crooked smile creeping back over her face." The author's tone in this book is stressful, and outraged. An example from the story includes,
"No! Get out of here! Devon's mom lunges at the man, grabbing his shoulders from behind, her long nails digging into his jacket. Get the hell out
of here! Are you hearing me? The other man, the one in the uniform, appears suddenly, pulling Devon's mom off of the first man." The theme of
this story is displacement. Devon is a girl who gets good grades, is involved in sports, and gets her work done on time. She is not someone you would
expect to be in jail, and she is so much different from her peers in jail. I can apply this lesson in my life because if I am ever in a place where I feel
uncomfortable and out of place, I know that it will end soon. This lesson will make a change in my future

What Is Frightful Fields Essay
A gloomy, dark, broken, isolated, boring place was known as Frightful Fields. There stood a land of no happiness where crickets chirp, owls hoot,
cries, and screams were heard. This place was a run down, rough, and dry city which no one ever strolled on the grounds of. Rats ran on the streets
and trash was thrown all over the roads. The night glared at whoever was outside at anytime. The air always had a smell of blood in it. Never was
there any sun or color. In fact, the city was more like a slaughterhouse. There were dead bodies in every alley. Scared people all over the city prayed
they would not get killed. People disappearing was quite common in Frightful Fields. Most of the food here tasted tremendously like a sock. Even in...

In no more than 3 days, over half the town was colored. The man who bathed all day but never felt clean, the artist who was never inspired, and the
woman who never got any customers were all starting to live their life to the fullest. The bathtub man, whose name was James, got out of his tub
and froliked in the daylight. The artist's name was Blake, he painted the most beautiful master piece and won a trip to go to Italy! The hair stylist,
her name was Jade, had a line up of customers outside her salon! The nighttime came around and I had to quickly dash out of the town. If I stay in a
town for more than one week, my magic can go away. So I had to quickly go to my house in Mango Municipality. It is called "mango" because
everything there is made out of mangos. That night was the happiest night the town had ever had. People were standing on their roofs throwing flowers
onto the population of Frightening Fields. Before I left, I signed a contract with the government to change the name of Frightening Fields to Terrific
Town. Also, I told them to keep this a surprise to the town until the next

Essay On Playing Under The Water Song
1–Review previous lesson: (five minutes)
Review the previous lesson by playing Under the Water Song (1). Make sure the students move with the song and say the animals' names out loud
while the song is playing, for example, when they hear "fish" they should say fish and move their hands and body like a fish. After that, show the
children different pictures of dead sea animals. Ask the children what they think about the pictures.
2–State lesson objective: (one minute)
Read, and ask the students to read after you, the lesson objective that you wrote on the board. The objective is: The First Grate students will be able to
figure out the problem of the dead sea animals and state a solution for it. They will work in groups to create a Recycle trash cans for the school's
classrooms. They will take ten minutes to do that.

The Journey Of Life Has Changed My Life
The journey of life has thought me to be honest and loyal. As I arrive in the United States of America in the 2013, it was a dream come through. I
made a promise to my parents that I will be a good child and stay out of trouble. It was tears of joy when it was time to say good bye to my parents.
On my arrival at the Dallas airport, my uncle was there to welcome me and took me home. On our way home I couldn't believe my eyes that, the
things I see on television am now having physical visual of them. After a month in United State of America I applied for a community college because
I didn't want to over stay at home since I was in my third year in University in my country. But after my placement test I was accepted into the school....

Even I believe in hard work pays but this work is hard and is not paying. After three months of working at the gas I saw there was no improvement in
my paycheck and my manger keeps reducing my work hours for no reasons. So my love for the work began to fade away and decided not complain
about it anymore because the more I complain the more it get worse. The only option was to quit the job without informing my manager in case I
get a new job that pays well. Something unbelievable happened at work which changed my situation. After a long and busy night shift. Mostly I
inform my manager before I clock out, for him to know am not going home with something which is not mine. As soon as I entered my manager's
office, he told me to sit down. I was a little nervous because mostly when my manager asks me to sit for a conversation that's, there is a problem or
a report from a customer. My manager told me a customer called to report a missing wallet and in case If I have seen it I should give it to me. I made it
clear to my manager that I have no ideal of the missing wallet he is talking about. After I left my manager's office I decide to use the restroom before
I leave for my house. After I was done with what I came to the restroom to do, I decided to change the trash can in the restroom since It was almost
full. As I pull the trashcan and about to pull the trash bag out of the can, I saw a black wallet. I decided to

The Best Moment Of My Life
Tic! Tic! Tic! Jerry was about to go down. The best moment of his life. His best friend was right next to him about to experience the same as he.
Ah! It was all a dream. He woke up and ran downstairs ready to munch on some breakfest. He saw his mom making bacon and eggs (his favorite).
After he ate his breakfast he was excited to get a call from his best friend John who had a lot of questions. Finally John asked,"Can you go to the
amusement park today?" Jerry replied fast as lightning, "I'll ask my Mom."Jerry bolted out of his room to the living room. He finds his mom
lying on the couch and asks her can he go. His mom replied, "Yes but you need to pay for your ticket and do your chores." Jerry ran up the stairs
and started cleaning his room. He was so excited he almost forgot to tell his friend. After about five minutes past and jerry was putting on his Six
Flags shirt and finding his cup for free refiles. After he was ready he waited three minutes for John to pick him up. When he go to the car he was

Persuasive Speech About Littering
The area is already messy, why bother finding a trashcan? One person say this and others will follow him and do the same. Have you ever thought
about what your community would look like without litter? If so, it may take a while to find out. One person throwing something on the ground may
not think much of it, however, when that trash finds other trash, they begin to build up and make big piles of junk. For example, I am sure people
never thought that if they littered, their trash would end up in the pacific garbage patch.
Persuasion Topic (Need)
Littering is a major issue around the world today. Littering means throwing away objects on the ground or leaving them lying on the ground instead of
disposing them at garbage can, recycling bin or trash container.

Believe it or not you don't want anyone to litter. We all say how beautiful this earth is but we do not appreciate it enough to just put the trash where
it goes. It affects all of our lives, and will affect us for years to come. All of this because of our poor judgement and actions. People are ignorant to
the harm they are doing to the planet. Even throwing your gum out the window of your car plays a part in littering and pollution. Littering play a
major part in our lives. Everywhere we walk and drive there is trash on the side of the roads, being thrown out windows, and dangling from tree
limbs. Millions of children see this every day. What kind of example are we setting for the children? If we begin to help in even the smallest of ways,
we can change this. We could make the earth a better place. Our health would improve and not everything we touch would be made from un–recycled
materials that would sit in a landfill for years. 9 billion tons of litter ends up in

Ohio Adverse Possession Laws Case Summary
On January 1, 2008, four lawsuits involving Brad Pitt were filed in Ohio. The first was brought by Matt Damon against Brad Pitt to acquire quiet title
to one–acre of Brad's land that Matt had cleared and built a barn on. Looking into quiet titles and adverse possession laws will determine if Matt
can get title to the land or not. The second case involves Snazzy Jeff, a paparazzo, seeing Maddox, Brad's son, dropped his PokГ©mon camera.
Snazzy Jeff then came up and took the item hoping to find pictures to sell on it without informing Brad or Maddox. This may be a case of lost property
or theft that needs to be evaluated. The third case involves Brad suing Jackie Philabaum at the request of his wife. At the parade, Brad took off his coat

To acquire a quiet title to the land Matt Damon only needs 21 of those years. According to Ohio law, the person wanting to obtain title fromadverse
possession must have possessed the property for 21 years without the permission of the owner, but in clear knowledge of the owner ("Ohio
Adverse Possession Laws"). There are four requirements listed to obtain a quiet title starting with using the land without permission of the owner.
Then they must treat the land as their own, use the land in an obvious way and for a continuous period of time without sharing with others ("Ohio
Adverse Possession Laws"). Matt Daman easily completes all four of these requirements. He never asked Brad for permission to clear the land
and build a barn on Brad's land, but did. Brad repeatedly visited and inspected the property in 1986, 1996, and 2002, seeing the barn but never
saying anything to Matt. Matt appears to have also used the land for a continuous period totaling 21 years before requesting title to the one acre of
land. Brad may have a defense if he had talked to Matt at any time about the property and can prove it, but it will be a hard case to win for him.
Matt will win this case for a quiet title to the one acre of land with his barn on it because of the time that had passed with no objection or other claims
of possession by Brad. Later, with four children to

The Importance Of Pollution On The Environment
The world reached an invisible but momentous milestone in 2008 when the human population for the first time in the history reached more than 3.3
billion people, lived in urban areas. (UNPF, 2007) The more people you have in the world the more crowded it tends to be and at that point where
would one fit in. While the population is increasing where do you expect to lay your head, in one of the high rises they are building in downtown, LA
or one of the hundreds of home tracks in the rural section of Southern California. The car Industry is in hot demand and with the added cars on the
road along with the older cars that have shared in the pollution, we are seeing bad pollution in the air. Then this leads to unaffordable housing for those
who are not financially stable. And, let's not forget the poverty amongst those who do not have Jobs or can afford to keep food on the table. If we do
not address these problems we will eventually start to result in killing our own selves without even knowing it. The more we keep building the more
we will find each other dealing with pollution, unaffordable housing and poverty. Changing how we pollute the air will need to start from the
government and regulation of fuels and omission we released into our environment along with the trash cannot seem to throw in the proper place. We
have all played a hand in how we have let the earth we have been dwelling in deteriorate. This has led to droughts which does not clean the air we
breathe daily.

Personal Statement : The Unlucky Runner
Unlucky Runner
"John McBernette, please stay after class," my english teacher ordered a few seconds before the bell. Suspecting I had been caught yet once again
pulling a prank on my friend, I cursed the day she was born silently while sulking deeper into my seat. As I stood standing in front of her desk,
awaiting her almost daily lecture, I realized that my life was not hot and spicy like I always imagined it to be at my present age. However, that was
five years ago. Since that day I have been running, running from the biggest known hitman agency. It all started when I got home that day after school.
I walked up the two flights of stairs into my empty apartment. An old, run–down, red bricked, twentieth century building. I crumpled the parent–teacher
note I usually got, and tossed it into the trash. With my luck I probably missed, so I made my way back to the crumpled paper on the ground and put it
into the trash, once again hitting the edge of the trash can and falling down.
"Damn," I said casually to myself, "my luck is really off today."
I was beginning to crave an after school snack, deciding toast would be the best choice, as there wasn't much that could go wrong while making toast.
Unfortunately, the toast caught fire after being in the toaster for a minute too long. I started to laugh, thinking I had jinxed myself into eternal
unluckiness. Pouring a cup of water over the small flames was not what I had intended to do, but it had been an instinct. The flames were

Persuasive Essay About Plastic Pollution
Throughout our entire planet, humans have made their mark of existence in innumerable beautiful and substantial ways; however, there are numberless
ways that humans have put our planet, and the life living on it, in danger. Pollution is a problem that cannot easily be solved by one person;
nonetheless, if more people would accomplish the meager changes necessary to lessen this problem, the plastic pollution on our planet could decrease
greatly. Plastic pollution is slowly killing and disrupting our planet and the animals living on it; however, with a few changes to our everyday lives,
we can help save the world.

The first step that we must take is to start changing the way the plastic producers create their products. Nearly all single use plastic factories around
the world do not take responsibility for their product being part of the issue, this mindset, however, ought to be the first thing we shall abandon. Once
these manufacturers take responsibility, they must design a more environmentally friendly plastic that can be recycled or reused easier. Another
solution to this problem would be taxing or billing the manufacturers of these harmful plastics; by calculating how much harmful chemicals are created
by each plastic manufacturer, you could create a specific percentage to tax each factory for their products. By taxing these plastic manufacturers, it
will form the idea of creating a more environmentally friendly formula for their plastics much more desirable than before. If the plastic companies
were to adjust to these changes, we would be taking an extensive step toward creating a better, more clean,

On Dumpster Diving By Lars Eighner
Homelessness is increasing every year and effecting Americans of different age, ethnicity and religion. In Lars Eighner "On Dumpster Diving" he
explains what he went through while being homeless. He describes how and what foods someone should be looking for and to always be conscious of
what one is eating because there is always a reason why something has been thrown out. He continues to go into detail about other items that can be
found in the dumpster like sheets to sleep on and pieces of paper to write on. Things that can keep him busy through the day. Eighner carefully
explains to his readers how being a dumpster diver has become a life style for the homeless and this is how they survive. It's a way of living and they

This is what became into his article. Eighner and his dog became homeless again when a teaching position fell through and there was no income for
him to pay for his apartment. He currently lives in a small apartment in Austin and now supports himself by writing short stories and essays. It is nice
to see he made something of himself and didn't have to live on the streets and longer than he had to. It feels that Eighner's is writing this and telling
his story is to show what it is to live in poverty, and how it is to survive. This article is a narrative because he is telling his story of survival. It is a
guide for anyone that becomes in need of survival and has no other option. He definitely wanted to show his struggle in everyday living and he
stresses that people shouldn't take things for granted such as going to the store and being able to buy food that is thrown out if not eaten. Rich or
poor he is trying to make a point that what we throw away everyday helps the less fortunate even if we don't realize it. It shows how we throw
things out that someone else could use and really need. His audience is the general public. Eighner's tone is very sarcastic in times and he seems to
not take his situation seriously. Which is good cause even in that living situation he can still smile and be happy. Shows what kind of person he is. He

A Short Story : A Story?
Early the next day, Tovi stared at her reflection in the mirror mounted on the wall, tucked her shirt into her pants and then left her room and
entered the living room where John watched television. "Did you get any sleep?" she asked. "Hardly. Car alarms were going off all night, which
made it damn near impossible to get any sleep," John shook his head, "it turns out, our good neighbors were setting trash cans and dumpsters on
fire but they didn't stop there. They also tipped over those metal newspaper dispensers, threw Molotov cocktails at buildings and jumped on
parked cars." He shook his head, "What's wrong with these people?" Tovi rolled her eyes and sighed, "They're still breathing." She sighed. "I'll see
you later." He turned to her, "Will you be okay out there?" "Why wouldn't I be?" She sucked her teeth. "I'm not new to this," Tovi strode to the
door, "I'll see you when I see you," and closed the door on her way out. Tovi stepped out of her building, inhaled the smoky air and walked down the
block. Less than a block from her apartment she came across a man sitting on the edge of the sidewalk with one side of his head saturated with blood
as he was staring at his ash–covered hands. So, she hastened her steps until she entered the subway. There were only a handful of people waiting for
the train, which was unusual for that time of day. She shrugged, less crazy to deal with. Not long afterward, the train entered the station and she got on

we will have on it. Climate change has been identified as a legitimate hindrance to the longevity of the human race. The world's temperature and water
levels are rising. The findings about climate change have important implications for the broader domain of the world. If we don't change our ways, the
world as we know it will cease to exist.
One cause of climate change is burning fossil fuels. When fossil fuels are burnt the gases emitted are trapped in the atmosphere and bounce back at the
planet. The carbon dioxide emitted sticks with us and ever so slightly heats up the earth. Burning coal and oil wasn't immediately horrible for us, but
over time more and more carbon dioxide built up leaving future generations with quite a problem on their hands. As the earth heats up, water
levels and tides rise causing worldwide flooding and chaos. In Venice, a city known for its majestic waterways, floods have are becoming a
pressing issue. Ground level homes and businesses have been demolished by water damage. Climate change is taking away people's livelihood. So,
you might be wondering, "Am I burning fossil fuels?" The answer is most likely yes. Fossil fuels are used across the world for endless reasons. In
the U.S., they are used to heat and power homes, run vehicles and power factories. But please don't take all the blame; the

Personal Narrative: My Parents In The United States
I have not seen my parents in three years. I came to the United States when I was eighteen to become an American chemical engineer. I have met
new people in the new land and made friends with a few of them. The longer I am away from my parents and the more I interact with people, the
more I realize my parents have a significant influence to shape who I am today. Looking back the time I was with my parents, I have found several
odd things in my house that I did not notice when I was a kid. To many people, they probably think my parents are strange. However, when I have
grown up and traveled around the world, I am astonished to realize those things resemble the beautiful personality of my parents.

Those wines were gifts to my father from his friends from all over the world. He had champagne, cognac, whiskey, and vodka. Although he had a fine
collection of wine, I had never seen him drinking any wine from the rack. He only drank beers and traditional rice wine. The rack kept growing
larger and larger every year. He still refused to drink or give away any bottle. A few years ago, I asked him: "Why didn't you drink any of those
wines? They are expensive and good wine. Not drinking them is such a waste". He replied: "I would like to keep them because they are gifts from
my friends. They cared about me so they bought those expensive wines for me. They are too valuable to drink". Later, he said he would drink them
only with the friends who gave him the wines. Personally, I think the rack is the symbol of my father's friendship. The larger the rack, the more friends
he had made.
The motorcycle, the trash cans, and the wine rack represent three personalities of my parents: efficiency, cleanliness and a good friend. They had
never thrown away anything that was still usable. They liked things to be clean and tidy. They treasured friendships. Those characteristics have helped
them succeed in their life. They got a good job with good income. They got a lot of friends to help them when they were in trouble. They were healthy
and strong. Also, those characteristics had shaped me to become who I am today and those characteristics will continue

Reflection About Art
I have never been into art or liked the arts for that matter, I cannot draw to save my life and being creative with art brings my imagination to a halt.
When I saw this project, I wasn't sure what I would use to help make the art, most people I saw were using metals, but I wanted to do something
different and that made me nervous. But I had an even harder time figuring out what I wanted to create. I had about a million ideas in my head, but had
an extremely hard time looking at things that I found and picturing them all together becoming a sculpture.
I started out with sticks and paper garbage that I had found around my home and the places where I walk my dogs. I didn't know what I wanted to
do with them, but I felt like they were the material I wanted to use. After I had gathered enough sticks and pieces of paper that I found on the ground
I sat down and tried to brainstorm what I could make. I came up with the idea of getting the sticks together in a ball and gluing the trash paper on to
create the look of the continents and the sticks be a globe. I figured out very fast that the sticks would not hold together, even after I soaked them in
water. I ditched that idea and moved on to a new one.
I still had all the garbage that I found and figured I could make good use of that. After ditching the sticks (not on the ground I put them in my green
trash can so they could be picked up and disposed of properly) I focused on the paper materials that I had picked up. I thought

Globalization And Globalization
Many times we take things for granted, especially when we have lived our whole lives in a bubble where there are tremendous changes but nothing
that takes what we have. That's not the case for many people living in a condition where no one should be living. Haiti is a country where poverty is
a big problem, where people starve themselves, no jobs, etc. Is a country where globalization has impacted the environment a big way.
Many times the land of a country doesn't produce enough food because of the environment and it's losing many changes of feeding their citizens.
According to the Encyclopedia and Wikipedia in Haiti right now roughy 40% of the land is producing food, farmers are losing crops, materials to
plant food and equipment, plus many of this farmers are the ones who keep the land producing and bringing food. This information shows how the
entire country is relying on 49% of cultives, which means that there's not enough food since hurricanes, and other disgrace keep happening preventing
farmers to plant food. In order to be able to survive or even bring a country with enough food, they should have more than the half of the land
reproducing food and this is not the case for Haiti's land.
Moreover, the land isn't producing enough food since the land isn't being fertilized correctly without the right materials and the environmental accidents
that had happened like hurricanes, etc. Nina Rastogi wrote the following for Haiti's Environmental Aftermath, " Those ripped–out

The Waste Of A Plastic Container Of Washing Cleanser
Each one time the normal family purchases a plastic container of washing cleanser and discards the void compartment into the general garbage without
differentiating it for reusing the planet needs to manage one more piece of non–biodegradable plastic that will sit in landfill for quite a long time.
Natural obligation starts in the home and ought to help through to the workplace and the creation carpet of each plant. In the current world, it is very
nearly outlandish not to add to the natural issue somehow consistently. Be that as it may, by tending to the issues that we can manage effortlessly, we

Safety Enforcement By Police And The Fire Department Essay
There are two images. Imagine you are walking down the sidewalk next to your home, and you see a small boy riding a bike. The child accidentally
hits a curb with the bike, and falls over, scraping his head on the concrete. You see a nasty gash, and quickly help the boy stop the bleeding while
determining if it is a life threatening injury. Depending on what you find, you might call for an ambulance, or if it is not threatening, you might just
walk the boy back to his home and help him back to his parents. In either case, you have demonstrated social responsibility. However, there is another
image. Imagine you are busy filing papers in your office. You happen to glance at your phone and see a notification from your news source reporting
a wildfire outbreak about 50 miles away. In this case, all you can do is remain updated as to what is happening, and be vigilant to obey safety
enforcement by police and the fire department. That is the normal apex of an individual 's social responsibility in such a circumstance. On the other
hand, professional privilege has a significant role in this, especially in the context of public relations. It is the expectation of public relations and media
sources to report the happenings with accuracy and promptness. By looking more closely at professional privilege and social responsibility in context
of public relations, one should be able to gain a better understanding as to how they relate to each other. As read in the article What is Social

The Craftsman House: A Narrative Fiction
The craftsman house was eerily quiet, except for the occasional moan from the Hefty bag. The quiet was nice. Marty was glad not to be arguing with
his mother, as he had done for the last thirty–nine years. He had finally acted like the man she had always wanted him to be. He planned to take the
bag outside and place her by the curb for the morning pickup, but for now was satisfied to have her close at hand. He went to the back door and
compulsively checked the lock for the eleventh time, furtively glancing at the hunter green, plastic trash bag. It could be filled with chicken bones or
garden leaves or old newspapers, but instead it was filled with mom. It gave Marty a comforting feeling. He decided to watch some television and
dragged the Hefty bag into the den where... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

His mother's face was upturned, her eyes rolled back in their sockets, her blue lips parted in a frozen scream. The bag was already beginning to
smell and he was glad tomorrow was trash day. Perched on Leona's lap, clutched between her rigor mortis claws, was her vinyl imitation Gucci
handbag. Marty leaned over and apprehensively reached inside the garbage bag trying to get at the purse, until his ear was practically over her

fingers but it was no use. "You don't want me to get the poultry shears, do you?" cautioned Marty. At that moment, Leona's pudgy fingers released the

Argumentative Essay About Climate Change
Climate change limits the opportunities that future generations have, especially the most poorest and most vulnerable. It is our duty to change how
people treat/use the earth, educate, and get involved in our communities that can have a huge impact on improving the lives of the vulnerable
populations affected by climate change.
When people know how to treat and use the earth, it can be a useful solution. Many of us don't understand that the way we treat the earth now will
affect us in the future or other generations. Some of the things people can do is just the basic needs. Places in the United States people are blessed
with freshwater out of their kitchen sink, but others are suffering daily to even get a sip of water. It can be easy to just buy a bottle of water at the
grocery store, but what do we do when we are done with it? Just toss it in the trash can? Why not reuse it? There is research done by researchers that
bottled water is not as safe as tap water in many places. When plastic is left in the sun it can be a dangerous to drink right after it. As much as we try
to dispose of plastic it never goes away. The slightest bit of plastic ends up in the ocean. A solution to not waste water, and not having to buy bottled
water is easier than we think.
The changes start from the smallest gesture of care to the environment. In the article "about water: A conversation with Maude Barlow" by Helen
Caldicott "In Canada we've now had twenty–seven municipalities, most of them are cities, ban commercial sales of bottled water. This has been a real
campaign. We've had dozens of school boards across the country ban bottled water, and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities at their annual
meeting passed a motion for a full ban across the country. They will not buy or sell a single plastic bottle or container on their premises. And it makes
sense. If you are putting all this money into cleaning water and testing it, regulating it and protecting the source, why would you then compete with
that by providing bottled water sales?" pg By just going to the grocery store and buying a reusable water, can be a solution that can help everyone. As
a whole, we need to educate ourselves and understand what is happening to the

As we know, many resources of the earth are exhaustible and nowadays we are living in the urban renaissance that required a lot of resources all the
time. Most of the people are using the resources of the earth with the least amount of knowledge of the dangers that may happen to our world. People
are being selfish and ignoring the fact that our behavior and practices are the biggest threat for the safety of the earth. (Sustainability, 2001)
This project will mainly discuss the sustainable and unsustainable practices at ADU campus and dorms and we are going to discuss the possible
solutions to apply the concepts of sustainability and sum up with recommendations that may be useful tips to be used in the future for the following

Do The Right Thing Directed By Spike Lee
In the film, Do The Right Thing, directed by Spike Lee, is a story of African–Americans and Italian–Americans that live in local residents. This film
takes place on the hottest and longest day in Brooklyn, New York. Lee represents himself, Mookie, an African–American delivery boy at a pizzeria.
Throughout the film, Lee establishes two main characters that illustrate "the right thing", starting Salvatore is known as Sal, an Italian who owns a
pizzeria. Radio Raheem is an African–American enjoys his boom box music. In particular, Sal becomes upset when Radio Raheem attends the
pizzeria. Sal comments, "It 's about turning that shit off and getting the fuck outta my pizzeria" Sal clearly is disturbed. That explains the loudness
that comes from Radio Raheem's boom box. To illustration, Mookie throws the "trashcan" tensions rise when the riot with Radio Raheem. In many
ways, things are accomplished by the story of the "trash can". When Mookie throws the trash can, it may not seem correct, but ultimately it serves all
these needs with each character. Sal injustice with Radio Raheem was the reason for the riot. For example, Raheem entered the pizzeria and his
boombox was enormously loud. That made Sal emotions and actions become very upset. Then, Sal's anger lead to destroying Raheem boombox and
that is how both started to fight. Somehow, Raheem he refused to stop fighting so when the police arrived they separated both of them. They only

Essay on Suzanne Britts Sloppy People vs Neat People
"Neat People vs. Sloppy People" appears in Britt's collection show and tell. Mingling humor with seriousness (as she often does), Britt has called the
book a report on her journey into "the awful cave of self: You shout your name and voices come back in exultant response, telling you their names."
In this essay about curtain inescapable personality traits, you may recognize some aspects of your own self, awful or otherwise. For a different
approach to a similar subject, see the next essay, by Dave Barry.
I've finally figured out the difference between neat people and sloppy people. The distinction is, as always, moral. Neat people are lazier and meaner

Sloppy people can't bear to part with anything. They give loving attention to every detail. When sloppy people say they're going to tackle the surface
of the desk, they really mean it. Not a paper will go unturned; not a rubber band will go unboxed. Four hours or two weeks into the excavation, the
desk looks exactly the same, primarily because the sloppy person is meticulously creating new piles of paper with new headings and scrupulously
stopping to read all the old book catalogs before he threw them away. A neat person would just bulldoze the desk. Neat people are bums and clods at
heart. They have cavalier attitude toward possession, including the family heirlooms. Everything is just another dust catcher to them. If anything
collects dust, it's got to go and that's that. Neat people will toy with the idea of throwing the children out of the house just to cut down on the clutter.
Neat people don't care about process. They like results. What they want to do is get the whole thing over with so they can sit down and watch the
rasslin' on TV. Neat people operate on two unvarying principles: Never handle any items twice, and throw everything away. The only thing messy in a
neat persons house is the thrash can. The minute something comes to a neat person hand, he will look at it, try to decide if it has immediate use and,
finding none, throw it in the trash. Neat people especially

Another safety issues that was just resolved was leaving the trash can in front of the door once the Administrative Assistant left for the day. The staff
did this because on the second floor we cannot hear the doorbell when it rings. Once the Administrative Assistant leaves for the day, there is no one

The Garbage Of Trash Garbage
Community Trash Pickup Trash, also known as litter is a very big concern everywhere in the world. "Litter is nothing but a piece of waste or rubbish
that has been disposed improperly, without consent and at wrong location. Littering simply means throwing away objects on the ground or leaving
them lying on the ground instead of disposing them at garbage can, recycling bin or trash container." (What is Litter?") It is very concerning that
there are only a few people who would like to make a change within their own community. The trash laying alongside the highways is very
distracting, it makes you want to stop and pick it up. Many people who feel such a way decide that they need to come up with a plan that could get
their community involved. The environment that we live in needs to be treated better, if only humans could take a second look at what it actually
does look like. There are so many ideas and ways trash could be taken care of instead of just being disposed alongside the highways, on the streets,
or anywhere else it does not belong besides in a garbage can. It is very disappointing that many people do not even care at all that the mother earth is
very trashy. However, there are a few good people out there who take their time to keep their community looking nice and clean. It is surprising when
you do notice the few places that you travel by are clean. Some ways that a community can get motivated in trash pickup would be to start off with

Truth Behind The Mirror
Reflections no longer hold truth when encased by a mirror. There is darkness behind the glass that seeps into people's subconscious. As it lingers
inside them, it does not let up on its firm grasp on the victim. This demonstrates how society's views can have a negative effect on an individual.
Outside pressure can become an overbearing force that is placed on individuals. People should not try to capsize a stable boat when there is
nothing wrong with it. People are too focused on what makes them different from society, and how that is a negative thing. However, being unique
is what makes them beautiful. Comparing murky pond water and a crystal clear mirror allows people to see the distortions in themselves and how
everything is not surface deep. When looking into a murky pond or a clear mirror, people perceive a distorted version of themselves. A pond
drenched by pouring rain soon causes the overflowing waters to escape from the banks and loosens the rich, black soil. The next day, the cloudy
pond is consumed by the disrupted mud which dims the reflection that is cast when the on looker is looking in. As the mud rises to the surface, the
image people have of themselves become muddled. Mud that is now stirred in with the water will not let the sediment float back to the pond's bottom
which makes it appear that the once clear water will forever remain as a diluted pond. Even the moss that is scattered on the surface limits the person's
view, and capsizes on their

ANNEX A AND B)
6.1INTRODUCTION
6.1.1Purpose and Scope of Document
Our software module determines the garbage levels in the bins of a particular location. The main parameters used in our software are the sensor values
and GSM module (for communication).According to that user gets the information where to dump trash and administrator gets the idea which bins
are getting filled faster so according to that more bins can be provided and garbage collection in that area can be accelerated. The goal of our module
is to automate garbage management and keep the city clean and hygienic. 6.1.2Overview of responsibilities of Developer
Building a prototype of an intelligent bin which will continuously monitor the level of garbage present in the bin with the help of sensors. There are two
different types of sensors used in this model:
HX711 sensor : It is present at the bottom of the bin and it will measure the weight of the bin and garbage present in it. This value will be converted to

South Africa Is a Sick Nation
1.Comments in Jansen words saying South Africa is a sick nation:
I agree, because according to Jansen:
We burn down and break down:
Every time there is a problem people doesn't like to wait for negotiations with the government but they just burn the properties of the state and all the
important assets for service delivery and equipment.
If people strike they burn cars, hospitals, police stations and they forget that tomorrow they will need those things that is why I agree with Jansen that
South Africa is a sick country.
We turn over garbage cans:
We take all the trash cans and pour them on the street as a sign of being angry and not satisfied and this can result in problems such as dirty
streets, air and land pollution and it will affect our lives and put our lives in danger.
We beat each other senseless with chairs in the political rallies:
We don't have shame or don't think for the lives of others because we harm them in such a way as if they don't live with us they are not part of us
and we destroy our morals and respect by fighting our brothers and sister instead of fighting the problems that we are facing in the country.
We threaten each other and we kill each other
We like to set standard for others and tell them if they don't reach those standard or certain activities that they were given we are going to kill them.
We forget that killing each other won't bring peace in our nation but it will just bring shame and too much hatred to us and we won't

San Elizario

  • 1. San Elizario San Elizario is a beautiful small town, with a loving and united community. It has a historical background in which it makes it even more special. We see many tourists hang at the Placita where the chapel is located but I am sure the tourists are aware of the surroundings, like the houses, and the streets, they are not pleasurable to watch. There is countless of trash around the streets, also including the houses' front yards. I come to propose if we put more trash cans all around town, there would be less littering. To increase sanitation, we can set up community walks at least once a month, to clean our yards and the streets around the area we live in. As a result, the entire community will benefit by this cleanup project. For this to happen,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, when a single string is pulled, it rips, but when multiple strings are put together and they are pulled, it is harder to be ripped apart. With this being said let's all come together as one, because alone we can only do so little, and together we can accomplish so much more. Encourage your children to throw trash in the trash can and not on the floor, but set the example first. It all starts at home; I encourage for you to clean your yard, like picking up trash and cutting weeds. As a result, I guarantee your kids will watch and will get motivated to do it too, and who knows your actions can even motivate a neighbor. And now that we are getting more people involve, it's time to expand from our homes to the streets, to then the entire ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. My Courage In Life Courage is different for everyone, but no matter the description everyone experiences moments during life where they have to be courageous. I believe courage is being brave enough to face your fears and overcome adversities, and not look back. Many people's fears decrease as they face them more, but for me mine only got worse the more I moved, and the older I got. For many people they have to find courage to face new places and situations, which is where I have found the most courage in my life. Change is not easy and leaving everything you know is hard but I had to become courageous to overcome what I was faced with, and these difficulties have changed my life and made me a person I would have never been without them. Each person finds courage in their darkest and hardest moments in life, and here is mine. Six year olds don't know anything right? So as I sat waving from the giant moving truck to my family and friends, I had no idea my life was about to be flipped upside down and changed forever. At six it did not take courage for me to move halfway across the country, it was fun, a new adventure. Or so it seemed. New school, new friends, and a big new house. I moved again when I was six, and yet again I didn't care. It was my third move and this one I was even more excited about, because I got to move by my cousins who were my best friends. In Michigan I spent the next three years making friends, having fun, and being happy. Something changed during those years ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. A Short Story : A Story? Arriving home from a business trip in Charlotte, Jerry went to play golf with his friend, as Marlene showered and dressed to go shopping. "I shouldn't wear these," she said, removing her favorite earrings, putting them in the jewelry box. She selected another pair and picked up her diamond necklace. After putting on fresh lipstick, she checked to make sure she looked perfect before leaving the house. +++ After ringing the doorbell several times, pounding on the door, Karen screamed, "Wake up, Dan. Wake up, Dan! I need your help." Ready to go to another neighbor's house, she heard him say, "Hold on I'm coming!" After opening the front door, Karen saw her neighbor standing in the doorway wearing only his boxer shorts and a tee shirt. He asked, "What's wrong? Karen, what's your problem?" Weeping, she said, "Something is wrong with Katherine. I think she is dead, come quick." "Just a minute," he said, rushing into the house and returned putting on his pants. "Where is she?" Motioning for him to follow her, Karen ran across the lawn and stopped by the fence, pointing toward the side of the house, she said, "She's over there." Rushing to the back of the house to check Katherine, Dan asked, "Have you called 911?" "No, but I will," Karen said, hurrying into her house and returned shortly, "I called them. They're on the way." "We should wait out front," Dan said, going up the driveway. Stuttering, Karen asked, "Is she, I mean is Katherine still alive?" "I don't think ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Amy Efaw The book After, written by Amy Efaw, is an addictive, action –packed book. The fiction story is about a girl named Devon Sky Davenport who was pregnant, but in denial. She wakes up one morning, sick, and stays home from school that day. That night, she gives birth at home by herself, and throws the baby in the trash after putting it in a garbage bag. Devon goes to jail where she makes friends and has to cooperate with her lawyer. Devon can't remember anything from the night when she gave birth but as things start clicking into place, Devon realizes what she has done, and starts having suicidal thoughts. Devon must tell her lawyer the details, although it is hard, so she can be tried in a juvenile court and only get 5 years, but if she doesn't... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The author uses a great deal of detail when describing characters. For example, the author wrote, "Yellow...yellow. The color of Devon's mom's hair. The color of a sun breaking through the flat gray clouds. Of a lemon drop. Devon allows her eyes to droop closed for a moment." I can distinctly imagine the appearance of the characters because the author uses the detail that he does. The plot of this book moves quickly because she starts to remember things from That Night from flashbacks that happen often. The text reads, "She steps slightly closer to him, lets her shoulder brush his arm as they walk hand in hand. Lets her hip bump into his. Once. Then. Twice...." The author uses plenty of imagery when describing places and people. For example, the author wrote, "Devon's eyes skim over the room's three rectangular tables and finds that vacant seat indicated. It's beside the pale girl with the breads. The girl scoots her chair back to make room for Devon, presenting the seat with an open hand, her crooked smile creeping back over her face." The author's tone in this book is stressful, and outraged. An example from the story includes, "No! Get out of here! Devon's mom lunges at the man, grabbing his shoulders from behind, her long nails digging into his jacket. Get the hell out of here! Are you hearing me? The other man, the one in the uniform, appears suddenly, pulling Devon's mom off of the first man." The theme of this story is displacement. Devon is a girl who gets good grades, is involved in sports, and gets her work done on time. She is not someone you would expect to be in jail, and she is so much different from her peers in jail. I can apply this lesson in my life because if I am ever in a place where I feel uncomfortable and out of place, I know that it will end soon. This lesson will make a change in my future ... There stood a land of no happiness where crickets chirp, owls hoot, cries, and screams were heard. This place was a run down, rough, and dry city which no one ever strolled on the grounds of. Rats ran on the streets and trash was thrown all over the roads. The night glared at whoever was outside at anytime. The air always had a smell of blood in it. Never was there any sun or color. In fact, the city was more like a slaughterhouse. There were dead bodies in every alley. Scared people all over the city prayed they would not get killed. In no more than 3 days, over half the town was colored. The man who bathed all day but never felt clean, the artist who was never inspired, and the woman who never got any customers were all starting to live their life to the fullest. The bathtub man, whose name was James, got out of his tub and froliked in the daylight. The artist's name was Blake, he painted the most beautiful master piece and won a trip to go to Italy! The hair stylist, her name was Jade, had a line up of customers outside her salon! The nighttime came around and I had to quickly dash out of the town. If I stay in a town for more than one week, my magic can go away. So I had to quickly go to my house in Mango Municipality. It is called "mango" because everything there is made out of mangos. That night was the happiest night the town had ever had. People were standing on their roofs throwing flowers onto the population of Frightening Fields. One person throwing something on the ground may not think much of it, however, when that trash finds other trash, they begin to build up and make big piles of junk. For example, I am sure people never thought that if they littered, their trash would end up in the pacific garbage patch. Persuasion Topic (Need) Littering is a major issue around the world today. All of this because of our poor judgement and actions. People are ignorant to the harm they are doing to the planet. Even throwing your gum out the window of your car plays a part in littering and pollution. Littering play a major part in our lives. Everywhere we walk and drive there is trash on the side of the roads, being thrown out windows, and dangling from tree limbs. Millions of children see this every day. What kind of example are we setting for the children? If we begin to help in even the smallest of ways, we can change this. We could make the earth a better place. • 11. Ohio Adverse Possession Laws Case Summary On January 1, 2008, four lawsuits involving Brad Pitt were filed in Ohio. The first was brought by Matt Damon against Brad Pitt to acquire quiet title to one–acre of Brad's land that Matt had cleared and built a barn on. Looking into quiet titles and adverse possession laws will determine if Matt can get title to the land or not. The second case involves Snazzy Jeff, a paparazzo, seeing Maddox, Brad's son, dropped his PokГ©mon camera. Snazzy Jeff then came up and took the item hoping to find pictures to sell on it without informing Brad or Maddox. This may be a case of lost property or theft that needs to be evaluated. The third case involves Brad suing Jackie Philabaum at the request of his wife. At the parade, Brad took off his coat and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To acquire a quiet title to the land Matt Damon only needs 21 of those years. According to Ohio law, the person wanting to obtain title fromadverse possession must have possessed the property for 21 years without the permission of the owner, but in clear knowledge of the owner ("Ohio Adverse Possession Laws"). There are four requirements listed to obtain a quiet title starting with using the land without permission of the owner. Then they must treat the land as their own, use the land in an obvious way and for a continuous period of time without sharing with others ("Ohio Adverse Possession Laws"). Matt Daman easily completes all four of these requirements. He never asked Brad for permission to clear the land and build a barn on Brad's land, but did. Brad repeatedly visited and inspected the property in 1986, 1996, and 2002, seeing the barn but never saying anything to Matt. Matt appears to have also used the land for a continuous period totaling 21 years before requesting title to the one acre of land. Brad may have a defense if he had talked to Matt at any time about the property and can prove it, but it will be a hard case to win for him. Matt will win this case for a quiet title to the one acre of land with his barn on it because of the time that had passed with no objection or other claims of possession by Brad. • 12. The Importance Of Pollution On The Environment The world reached an invisible but momentous milestone in 2008 when the human population for the first time in the history reached more than 3.3 billion people, lived in urban areas. (UNPF, 2007) The more people you have in the world the more crowded it tends to be and at that point where would one fit in. While the population is increasing where do you expect to lay your head, in one of the high rises they are building in downtown, LA or one of the hundreds of home tracks in the rural section of Southern California. The car Industry is in hot demand and with the added cars on the road along with the older cars that have shared in the pollution, we are seeing bad pollution in the air. Then this leads to unaffordable housing for those who are not financially stable. And, let's not forget the poverty amongst those who do not have Jobs or can afford to keep food on the table. If we do not address these problems we will eventually start to result in killing our own selves without even knowing it. The more we keep building the more we will find each other dealing with pollution, unaffordable housing and poverty. Changing how we pollute the air will need to start from the government and regulation of fuels and omission we released into our environment along with the trash cannot seem to throw in the proper place. We have all played a hand in how we have let the earth we have been dwelling in deteriorate. This has led to droughts which does not clean the air we breathe daily. ... Suspecting I had been caught yet once again pulling a prank on my friend, I cursed the day she was born silently while sulking deeper into my seat. As I stood standing in front of her desk, awaiting her almost daily lecture, I realized that my life was not hot and spicy like I always imagined it to be at my present age. However, that was five years ago. Since that day I have been running, running from the biggest known hitman agency. It all started when I got home that day after school. I walked up the two flights of stairs into my empty apartment. An old, run–down, red bricked, twentieth century building. I crumpled the parent–teacher note I usually got, and tossed it into the trash. With my luck I probably missed, so I made my way back to the crumpled paper on the ground and put it into the trash, once again hitting the edge of the trash can and falling down. "Damn," I said casually to myself, "my luck is really off today." I was beginning to crave an after school snack, deciding toast would be the best choice, as there wasn't much that could go wrong while making toast. Unfortunately, the toast caught fire after being in the toaster for a minute too long. I started to laugh, thinking I had jinxed myself into eternal unluckiness. Once these manufacturers take responsibility, they must design a more environmentally friendly plastic that can be recycled or reused easier. Another solution to this problem would be taxing or billing the manufacturers of these harmful plastics; by calculating how much harmful chemicals are created by each plastic manufacturer, you could create a specific percentage to tax each factory for their products. • 19. Persuasive Essay On Climate Change For hundreds of years, the human race has been polluting the earth with fossil fuels and excess waste. The longer we abuse our planet, the less time we will have on it. Climate change has been identified as a legitimate hindrance to the longevity of the human race. The world's temperature and water levels are rising. The findings about climate change have important implications for the broader domain of the world. If we don't change our ways, the world as we know it will cease to exist. One cause of climate change is burning fossil fuels. When fossil fuels are burnt the gases emitted are trapped in the atmosphere and bounce back at the planet. The carbon dioxide emitted sticks with us and ever so slightly heats up the earth. Burning coal and oil wasn't immediately horrible for us, but over time more and more carbon dioxide built up leaving future generations with quite a problem on their hands. As the earth heats up, water levels and tides rise causing worldwide flooding and chaos. In Venice, a city known for its majestic waterways, floods have are becoming a pressing issue. Ground level homes and businesses have been demolished by water damage. Climate change is taking away people's livelihood. So, you might be wondering, "Am I burning fossil fuels?" After I had gathered enough sticks and pieces of paper that I found on the ground I sat down and tried to brainstorm what I could make. I came up with the idea of getting the sticks together in a ball and gluing the trash paper on to create the look of the continents and the sticks be a globe. I figured out very fast that the sticks would not hold together, even after I soaked them in water. I ditched that idea and moved on to a new one. I still had all the garbage that I found and figured I could make good use of that. • 27. Argumentative Essay About Climate Change Climate change limits the opportunities that future generations have, especially the most poorest and most vulnerable. It is our duty to change how people treat/use the earth, educate, and get involved in our communities that can have a huge impact on improving the lives of the vulnerable populations affected by climate change. When people know how to treat and use the earth, it can be a useful solution. Many of us don't understand that the way we treat the earth now will affect us in the future or other generations. Some of the things people can do is just the basic needs. Places in the United States people are blessed with freshwater out of their kitchen sink, but others are suffering daily to even get a sip of water. It can be easy to just buy a bottle of water at the grocery store, but what do we do when we are done with it? Just toss it in the trash can? Why not reuse it? There is research done by researchers that bottled water is not as safe as tap water in many places. When plastic is left in the sun it can be a dangerous to drink right after it. As much as we try to dispose of plastic it never goes away. The slightest bit of plastic ends up in the ocean. A solution to not waste water, and not having to buy bottled water is easier than we think. The changes start from the smallest gesture of care to the environment. In the article "about water: A conversation with Maude Barlow" by Helen Caldicott "In Canada we've now had twenty–seven municipalities, most of them are cities, ban commercial sales of bottled water. This has been a real campaign. We've had dozens of school boards across the country ban bottled water, and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities at their annual meeting passed a motion for a full ban across the country. They will not buy or sell a single plastic bottle or container on their premises. And it makes sense. If you are putting all this money into cleaning water and testing it, regulating it and protecting the source, why would you then compete with that by providing bottled water sales?" pg By just going to the grocery store and buying a reusable water, can be a solution that can help everyone. • 30. Do The Right Thing Directed By Spike Lee In the film, Do The Right Thing, directed by Spike Lee, is a story of African–Americans and Italian–Americans that live in local residents. This film takes place on the hottest and longest day in Brooklyn, New York. Lee represents himself, Mookie, an African–American delivery boy at a pizzeria. Throughout the film, Lee establishes two main characters that illustrate "the right thing", starting Salvatore is known as Sal, an Italian who owns a pizzeria. Radio Raheem is an African–American enjoys his boom box music. In particular, Sal becomes upset when Radio Raheem attends the pizzeria. Sal comments, "It 's about turning that shit off and getting the fuck outta my pizzeria" Sal clearly is disturbed. That explains the loudness that comes from Radio Raheem's boom box. To illustration, Mookie throws the "trashcan" tensions rise when the riot with Radio Raheem. In many ways, things are accomplished by the story of the "trash can". When Mookie throws the trash can, it may not seem correct, but ultimately it serves all these needs with each character. Sal injustice with Radio Raheem was the reason for the riot. For example, Raheem entered the pizzeria and his boombox was enormously loud. That made Sal emotions and actions become very upset. Then, Sal's anger lead to destroying Raheem boombox and that is how both started to fight. Somehow, Raheem he refused to stop fighting so when the police arrived they separated both of them. • 31. Essay on Suzanne Britts Sloppy People vs Neat People "Neat People vs. Sloppy People" appears in Britt's collection show and tell. Mingling humor with seriousness (as she often does), Britt has called the book a report on her journey into "the awful cave of self: You shout your name and voices come back in exultant response, telling you their names." In this essay about curtain inescapable personality traits, you may recognize some aspects of your own self, awful or otherwise. For a different approach to a similar subject, see the next essay, by Dave Barry. I've finally figured out the difference between neat people and sloppy people. The distinction is, as always, moral. Neat people are lazier and meaner than sloppy people. Sloppy people, you see, are not really sloppy. Their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sloppy people can't bear to part with anything. They give loving attention to every detail. When sloppy people say they're going to tackle the surface of the desk, they really mean it. Not a paper will go unturned; not a rubber band will go unboxed. Four hours or two weeks into the excavation, the desk looks exactly the same, primarily because the sloppy person is meticulously creating new piles of paper with new headings and scrupulously stopping to read all the old book catalogs before he threw them away. A neat person would just bulldoze the desk. Neat people are bums and clods at heart. They have cavalier attitude toward possession, including the family heirlooms. Everything is just another dust catcher to them. If anything collects dust, it's got to go and that's that. Neat people will toy with the idea of throwing the children out of the house just to cut down on the clutter. Neat people don't care about process. They like results. What they want to do is get the whole thing over with so they can sit down and watch the rasslin' on TV. Neat people operate on two unvarying principles: Never handle any items twice, and throw everything away. The only thing messy in a neat persons house is the thrash can. The minute something comes to a neat person hand, he will look at it, try to decide if it has immediate use and, finding none, throw it in the trash. Neat people especially ... • 32. A Short Story : A Story? After ringing the doorbell several times, and pounding on the door, Karen screamed, "Wake up, Dan. She looks dead, come quick." "Just a minute," he said, rushing into the house and returned putting on his pants. Stuttering, Karen asked, "Is she, I mean is Katherine still alive?" "There's blood on the concrete. I'm sure she is dead." Dan and Karen waited in the driveway for help to arrive; he listened as she described what happened. "Bouncer woke me up about 6:00 o'clock. We were standing in the driveway and saw a man run through the backyard. When I asked, 'What are you doing?' He stopped, looked straight at me, as though, he would attack me. All employees under the CarePoint Health umbrella have to go through annual training called "Secure Training". Secure Training is a de–escalation training that all employees are mandated to take, if they have any interaction with clients/patients. When an individual becomes an employee within the CarePoint Health system first starts the job is an all–day educational class. Since I've been at Giant Steps, there have not been any real altercations, with the exception of maybe one or two fights between the clients. Maybe that's why they have never thought to have security or maybe it has to do with the fact that we are not in a hospital. Giant Steps is a rented space and we use St. Joseph's Rectory. Another safety issues that was just resolved was leaving the trash can in front of the door once the Administrative Assistant left for the day. The staff did this because on the second floor we cannot hear the doorbell when it rings. Once the Administrative Assistant leaves for the day, there is no one there to open the door. It's dangerous to have the trash can keep the door open. Anyone can walk through those doors. I sometimes go downstairs after the Administrative Assistant leaves on Tuesday's and Thursday's so that I can open the door for the clients. When it comes to the clients, I don't have any fears for my safety. I trust that if anything should happen, I can resort back to my training from secure training and I know that staff will be there as well. My main concern, as I had previously discussed, was being left alone and having to walk by myself to my car at night. I know that Hoboken is a quiet place, for the most part, but still cannot take that for granted because anything can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 35. A Short Story : A Story? It was a sweet and delicate piece of bread, Ali imagine. Now it was just a stale piece of bread in a crowded trashcan that Ali and Smalls was hunting in. It wasn't exactly hunting, Ali would rather call it searching, or looting, or anything else in fact. Smalls, on the other hand called it hunting. Smalls imagine a lush forest with ancient trees that stand higher filled with the sound of scurrying squirrels looking for food, but Ali saw the bustling city with buildings that stand like mighty titans with the sound of scurrying rats of Smalls and himself looking for the smallest amount of food in a dark alleyway like the night before. Ali's belly slightly rumble, which should be impossible while looking and smelling at moldy, disgusting pieces of trash. "So Ali." Smalls said, opening some trash bags with his sharp fingernails "You think of becoming a police officer?" "What?" Ali answered, still hunting through a bunch of garbage "Why would I become a officer?" Ali knew he was weaker than most boys, with short black hair that didn't take much to clean and a slightly tan skin that he got from his father. He didn't have a strong face or chin, If he had longer hair he would most likely be mistaken for a girl, he knew this wasn't the face of a officer. "Well, you know if I get in trouble," He plunged his hand through the trashcan, scanning for anything that feels like food. "You could always break me out of jail." • 36. The Garbage Of Trash Garbage Community Trash Pickup Trash, also known as litter is a very big concern everywhere in the world. "Litter is nothing but a piece of waste or rubbish that has been disposed improperly, without consent and at wrong location. Littering simply means throwing away objects on the ground or leaving them lying on the ground instead of disposing them at garbage can, recycling bin or trash container." (What is Litter?") It is very concerning that there are only a few people who would like to make a change within their own community. The trash laying alongside the highways is very distracting, it makes you want to stop and pick it up. Many people who feel such a way decide that they need to come up with a plan that could get their community involved. The environment that we live in needs to be treated better, if only humans could take a second look at what it actually does look like. There are so many ideas and ways trash could be taken care of instead of just being disposed alongside the highways, on the streets, or anywhere else it does not belong besides in a garbage can. It is very disappointing that many people do not even care at all that the mother earth is very trashy. However, there are a few good people out there who take their time to keep their community looking nice and clean. It is surprising when you do notice the few places that you travel by are clean. Some ways that a community can get motivated in trash pickup would be to start off with your friends who ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Personal Narrative: The Game That Ruined My Life It all started on a sunny weekend when I went to my mom's house. I had been hearing from other people about this game that is coming out and someone told me that this game had an open beta out and that it was amazing. My friend Shelby had been talking about this same game a lot here lately so I decided maybe I'll get the game and give it a try. I was at my dad's at the time and we just do not have good enough internet for me to be able to play Xbox. I told Shelby that I would get the game the next weekend when I go to my mom's house and that we could play it some and see if we like the game to decide if we want to buy it when it comes out. This evil game that ruined my life as I know on Xbox was called "Battlefield 1." It was Wednesday, August 31st, and it was a normal day in school and I was in Mrs. Igo's class. I got up to go get my bellringer journal when Shelby came up to me and said, "The new Battlefield 1 beta is out!" I thought i was going to love this new game but that was all before I played it. Me and Shelby said we were going to get it and play it the following weekend and trash some kids. Well, we talked about how we were going... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Then a notification popped up on the bottom of my screen and it said, "Battlefield 1 Open Beta, Ready To Start," and that was when I made the mistake of opening the game. So I then opened the game and as I seen the beginning of the game, I was amazed. • 38. Truth Behind The Mirror Reflections no longer hold truth when encased by a mirror. There is darkness behind the glass that seeps into people's subconscious. As it lingers inside them, it does not let up on its firm grasp on the victim. This demonstrates how society's views can have a negative effect on an individual. Outside pressure can become an overbearing force that is placed on individuals. People should not try to capsize a stable boat when there is nothing wrong with it. People are too focused on what makes them different from society, and how that is a negative thing. However, being unique is what makes them beautiful. Comparing murky pond water and a crystal clear mirror allows people to see the distortions in themselves and how everything is not surface deep. When looking into a murky pond or a clear mirror, people perceive a distorted version of themselves. A pond drenched by pouring rain soon causes the overflowing waters to escape from the banks and loosens the rich, black soil. The next day, the cloudy pond is consumed by the disrupted mud which dims the reflection that is cast when the on looker is looking in. As the mud rises to the surface, the image people have of themselves become muddled. Mud that is now stirred in with the water will not let the sediment float back to the pond's bottom which makes it appear that the once clear water will forever remain as a diluted pond. Even the moss that is scattered on the surface limits the person's view, and capsizes on their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

INDICATORS IN ANNEX A AND B) 6.1INTRODUCTION 6.1.1Purpose and Scope of Document Our software module determines the garbage levels in the bins of a particular location. The main parameters used in our software are the sensor values and GSM module (for communication).According to that user gets the information where to dump trash and administrator gets the idea which bins are getting filled faster so according to that more bins can be provided and garbage collection in that area can be accelerated. The goal of our module is to automate garbage management and keep the city clean and hygienic. 6.1.2Overview of responsibilities of Developer Building a prototype of an intelligent bin which will continuously monitor the level of garbage present in the bin with the help of sensors. There are two different types of sensors used in this model: HX711 sensor : It is present at the bottom of the bin and it will measure the weight of the bin and garbage present in it. This value will be converted to digital value with the help of an ADC. HC–SR04 : Used to measure the detect the level of garbage. It works on ultrasonic waves similar to that of a sonar based on proximity the level of the garbage will be detected. There are multiple sensors installed based on the size of the bin. Using the current positions of the sensors the bin will be calibrated. The value ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. South Africa Is a Sick Nation 1.Comments in Jansen words saying South Africa is a sick nation: I agree, because according to Jansen: We burn down and break down: Every time there is a problem people doesn't like to wait for negotiations with the government but they just burn the properties of the state and all the important assets for service delivery and equipment. If people strike they burn cars, hospitals, police stations and they forget that tomorrow they will need those things that is why I agree with Jansen that South Africa is a sick country. We turn over garbage cans: We take all the trash cans and pour them on the street as a sign of being angry and not satisfied and this can result in problems such as dirty streets, air and land pollution and it will affect our lives and put our lives in danger. We beat each other senseless with chairs in the political rallies: We don't have shame or don't think for the lives of others because we harm them in such a way as if they don't live with us they are not part of us and we destroy our morals and respect by fighting our brothers and sister instead of fighting the problems that we are facing in the country. We threaten each other and we kill each other We like to set standard for others and tell them if they don't reach those standard or certain activities that they were given we are going to kill them. We forget that killing each other won't bring peace in our nation but it will just bring shame and too much hatred to us and we won't ...
