$X-Ray on Crystals X-Ray waves Crystals + DNA  X-Rays on Crystal (carries Protein or DNA sample) causes diffraction, angle diffraction determines the structure.  Based on the samples the diffraction may varies (consider the each side of cubes as a plane), X- Rays on the planes shows some reflection that detected by the detector.  Data of diffraction help us to identify the molecular structure.  Reflection and diffraction are same.$
