Why study English so important?
The reasons for studying English are many and varied. Here we give you the most
important, apart from some language information and a list of practical tips that
you can learn English more quickly and efficiently.
1. Why learn English: to work
Perhaps the main reason why learning English is so important is because English is
essential to finding work. The Englishman will give us access to better education
and so much to the possibility of a better job. Our job opportunities multiply as
we master the language. Both government departments and multinational
companies, regardless of your field, English will always provide advantages when
ascending or access another job, helping you improve your current work situation.
2. Why learn English: education and information
Another important reason for learning English is that we can access to better
education, without being limited to universities or training centers of our own
country. Also it will give access to more current and complete information, know
the latest developments and we can access most scientists, academics and
technology, written in English texts. According to a study 56% of websites are
published in English. In second place is Germany with 8%.
3. Why learn English: because it is the universal language
English is the language of international communication, trade and finance. English is
a lingua franca in many corners of the planet and the official language of many
international organizations such as the European Union, United Nations and Unesco.
This is due to historical and political reasons, because of the importance that the
British Empire in the past, when he extended his tongue over every continent, and
the importance and power of the United States today. For all this we can say
that is the universal language, which will help you communicate without barriers.
4. Why learn English: other cultures
Learning English is important because it will show other cultures, lifestyles and
ways of thinking. You can meet new and interesting people and understand their
customs. It will give thus the opportunity to see yourself through different eyes,
and perhaps discover aspects of yourself or your culture in which you had not
reconsidered before.
5. Why learn English: travel
Speaking English will allow you to travel around the world and letting you
understand. You can fully enjoy your trip as English is spoken on five continents,
and will avoid stressful situations caused by the language barrier. Besides being the
lingua franca throughout most of the world, English is the official language of many
countries such as England, Ireland, USA, Canada, Malta, Australia, New Zealand
and some Caribbean countries, Asia and Africa.Imagine the possibilities!
6. Why learn English: more learned the language
Did you know that Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world by
number of native speakers, after Chinese and English above? So why learn English if
I know Spanish? English is the language most learned as a second language.
Although the number of native English speakers are between 300 and 400 million,
the number of people who learn it as a second language is the same, beating other
languages. Besides knowing English will help us better understand our culture and
our language, and they are not few Anglicisms that populate our everyday lives.
7. Why learn English: self improvement
Learning English is easier than you think, and pride you feel when you've done is
indescribable. Remember that is made by walking, and once completed the first
step (decide you want to learn English), the rest is followed. As they increase
your knowledge and vocabulary; notes whenever you understand better, your
confidence in yourself will also increase. You will lose all fear and you will loose to
speak English without thinking.Supérate yourself learning English!
8. Why learn English: art and literature
Knowing English you can enjoy British humor, literature, cinema and theater Anglo
and English culture in general. With English you can better appreciate puns, jokes,
metaphors and all the nuances that are lost in translation. You can watch movies
in their original language, understand the lyrics of the songs Anglophone or
appreciate the stories and tangles of your favorite video games. When your level is
higher, you can even dare to Shakespeare. Do you accept the challenge?
9. Why learn English: other skills
Learn English means to express themselves fluently and smoothly, exposing our
ideas with order and clarity to a native audience. By which also means
understanding and assimilating the ideas and answers provide us other people, radio,
television, and the texts we read. According to scientific research, study English or
learn a language in general produce certain stimuli in the brain that help us to
improve our skills in other areas such as creative problem solving, reasoning or
mental ability.
10. Why learn English: eliminate weaknesses
If demonstrate your language skills is a havoc for you, learn English and eliminates
this problem. Study English because you will avoid having to exaggerate on your
resume and embarrassment of having to admit your great weakness, you do not
