1. Question 5
How as your written content
attempted to engage your audience?
2. The interview portion of my magazine
unfortunately didn't’t go as planned as I
struggled to lock down an interview with
anyone in the gaming industry, probably due
to the fact that this is a busy time of the year
for them with conventions such as PAX and E3
coming up, so they're working hard on getting
new projects ready.
So instead of doing a conventional interview I
went out on to the street and did some Vox
pops that I could insert into my review of
Grand Theft Auto V.
3. For my other articles I tried to style them similarly to
other articles in the same genre. I think the language I've
used is suitable for my genre of magazine as I have used a
mixture of colloquial and formal language where
appropriate, I also used key subject terminology when its
needed. When I’ve used this specialist terminology I have
also described what it is so it’s easier to read and
understand.
Using subject specific terminology enhances my articles in
my opinion as it adds a more depth and detail to my
articles and the subjects I am talking about.
For the titles and subtitles of my articles I used the font
Bank Gothic, this is relevant as this is the same font the
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series uses, so I have used a
gaming related font in a gaming magazine, so it is a
familiar site to my target audience. I used a magazine
standard for my articles, Arial size 10 so it looked more
professional.
