This document summarizes the evaluation of a student's health campaign project aimed at promoting an active lifestyle for females aged 16-19. The student chose this topic because physical health is often overlooked, especially for women. Their initial slogan "Be precise, just exercise" was revised to "No more lies, focus and exercise" based on feedback that it better captured living an active lifestyle. The campaign included edited photos in posters and a video advertisement featuring female actors demonstrating exercise. While the student worked individually, classmates provided input. Feedback was generally positive but identified areas for improvement such as higher quality photos and focused video recording.
2. My chosen topic and why I chose it?
• My chosen topic was health and I wanted to it to be specifically on females living a healthy active
lifestyle. I chose this topi because firstly, I felt this is a huge issue in the society we live in today
with females rather going shopping than trying to be fit and healthy just because of there gender.
I also chose this so I can challenge myself in whether I could come up with a unique idea that
could tackle this problem. I lastly chose this because health is not really considered a big thing as
nobody else in my class chose to do health apart from me which shows it is not really considered
in this day and age.
3. Getting the message across to my target
audience
• At first, my slogan idea was,"Be precise, just exercise" but after feedback from my tutor, I
understood that didn't cover the meaning of my campaign which was living a healthy active
lifestyle and this was massively important as this could effect my whole campaign. I then was
able to come up with the slogan, "No more lies, focus and exercise", I felt this covered the
meaning of living a healthy active lifestyle better than my first slogan so I went with it. When I
was creating my poster and making my advert I thought to myself what will make this stand out,
catch the eye of my target audience which was aimed at female social groups between 16-19
years olds . My slogan was one of them. The second thing was my pictures, I was able to edit
them using photoshop to make it stand out and represent living a healthy active lifestyle for
females so what I did was take a series of photos of a female doing physical activity in the gym .
To improve on this next time , I could of used a different camera.and use the photo studio. Lastly
my to advert. I feel I covered my message very well in this by getting two female actors to perform
a series of events in the gym to show that living a healthy active lifestyle is good. Overall, I fell
that I was able to clearly get my message across to my target audience to live a healthy active
lifestyle.
4. Comparison between my campaign and other
health campaigns
• Before I decided to do a campaign on health, I decided to look at campaigns already made. One of
the campaigns was on drinking water and the other eating your five a day. Although mine was
unique as I didn't go with the concept of these other campaigns, they were also effective and
clearly got there message across to its audience and this helped me a lot into making my
campaign. The drinking water campaign was effective because it caught the eye of the audience
by the smoothness and the clarity of it. The five a day one was very exciting and caught my eye.
5. How I worked on my campaign and the help I
got to do it
• I worked individually on this task so I was in charge of everything and I took on all the roles.
Although of this, some of my class mates gave me ideas on what my campaign could be about
but ultimately I came to the final conclusion of how it was going to look like. I actually enjoyed
working individually as I did not have to depend on anyone but myself, it also allowed me to learn
new skills like using tools I didn't know how to use before on photoshop and indesign, quite
strangely it helped me build my confidence to interact with people I don't know to support my
campaign for example being able to influence my actors into performing healthy activities for my
to advert and convince a female who is shy to be on my health active lifestyle poster and this
makes me proud of what I have achieved.
6. Audience feedback and improvements I could
make
• I showed some of my class mates my poster and TV advert and I also played my radio advert for
them. For my poster , the audience really thought it worked and it got my message across really
well but it lacked a quality photo. To make this better I could contact the female to shoot again
but this time rather than the gym, the to studio . I should also use a DSLR camera or either the
canon or Nikon to get the best quality photo I can to make my poster better. Other than that they
said it was really creative because of the grids I used. I then showed my TV advert and they were
quite impressed with the advert as they felt that also covered my message. Although of this, they
did say that that I didn't focus the camera whilst recording making it blurry with a poor iso. To
improve this I could reshoot again but focus the camera which would make my actors stand out
more int the advert. Lastly, I gathered them all to listen to my radio advert. It was a mixture of the
two, some people liked the sympathy flow I went with some didn't. Some liked my soft voice
with the sad music in the background but others thought I should of made it more exciting. To
improve this I could record myself again but this time be more excited and also edit a fun
instrumental to go with it to catch the attention of the audience.
