Q4. Who would
be the audience
for your media
product?
Joe Burke
• I have targeted my magazine at 15-25 year old
males. I have chosen to target males because in
my questionnaire results the majority of people that
filled out the questionnaire were male so the
answers given would be from a male point of view
which makes it easier to design the magazine.
Initially I was going to aim the magazine at both
genders but after reviewing the questionnaire results
I decided to target males but it was also because
being a male myself makes it easier to decide what
content to put into the magazine as I could referrer
to my personal preference.
• And because the magazine would have such a
specific audience it would also give the reader a
sense of belonging because
I have also made a Facebook profile of someone who
is likely to buy my magazine:
Their musical
taste
Women
This is a person likely to buy my magazine because they have
musical interest in dance pop and have an outgoing and active
life but also they are male and is in-between the age bracket of
15-25
