Words offers several differentways to view a document
Word provides options to change a document´s onscreen appearance by
viewing the document in Full Screen, Web Layout, Outline, and Draft
views. Adding horizontal rulers, vertical rulers, or grindlines.
Splitting the document con also change the view on the screen.
Opening an existing document
You can open an existing file in 3 forms:
°Original Document °Copy of a document °read-only document

Changing document views
Word has five Document Views
°Print Layout °Full Screen Reading °Web Layout °Outline °Draft
°the view tab on the ribbon has groups of commands for Documents Views, Show,
Zoom, Window, and Macros.
Using Show Commands
The Show command group offers options for displaying various onscreen
features that can help you create, edit, and navigate yout Document
RULERS.
Are measuring tools to aling text, graphics, and other elements used
within a document.
Navigation Pane
Appears in the left side of the window when you select its command in the
Show Group.
The navigation Pane has three tabs.
2. Using Zoom
The ´Zoom Group´ of commands lets you ZOOM in to get a closer view pf a
page or zoom out to see more of the document at a smaller size. You use
the Zoom Commands to view one or two pages.
°You can also click the percentage displayed to the left of the ZOOM slider
to open the Zoom Dialog Box
°You can also use the zoom slider in the status bar to increase and
decrease the size of the displayed image.
WILDCARD
Use the wildcard characters to find words of phrases that contain specific
letters or combinations of letters.
USING THE GO TO COMMAND TO NAVIGATE A LONG DOCUMENT
The to go command and Select Browse Object button provide ways to
navigate through longer documents quickly.
Select Replacing And Deleting Text
You can delete text in Word Documents by pressing the BackSpace key.
In this exercise you learn to select and delete text and to key in
replacement text. You also practice using the UNDO and REDO buttons in
the Quick Access Toolbar.
