Word has several document views including Print Layout, Full Screen Reading, Web Layout, Outline, and Draft views. It allows opening existing documents as the original, a copy, or read-only. The views display the document differently, such as how it will print or as a web page. Users can zoom in and out on a document's pages using buttons or a slider. Scrolling bars let users move up/down or left/right within a document page by page or line by line. The Go To command and Select Browse Object button provide quick navigation in long documents. Text can be selected, replaced, or deleted using keyboard buttons or by selecting and pressing Delete or Backspace.

SOFTWARE ORIENTATION
-Word provides options to change a document’s onscreen appearance by
viewing the document in Full Screen, Web Layout, Outline, and Draft views,
and many other things.
OPENING AN EXISTING DOCUMENT
Word enables you to open existing files in one of three
forms: as an original document, as a copy of a
document, or as a read-only document.
CHANGING DOCUMENT VIEWS
WORD HAS FIVE DOCUMENT VIEW OPTIONS:
*PRINT LAYOUT: Is the default view. It displays the document as it will look
when printed and enables you to use the Ribbon to create and edit your
document.
*FULL SCREEN READING: View is made for reading documents onscreen.
Options are available for customizing this view.
*WEB LAYOUT: View shows how the document would
look as a Web page.
*OUTLINE: View displays the document as an outline
and offers an outline tab with commands for creating
and editing outlines.
*DRAFT: View is strictly for editing text. Advanced elements such as charts,
graphs, pictures, and other objects are hidden in this view.
2. USING ZOOM
The zoom group of commands lets you zoom in to get a closer
view of a page or zoom out to see more of the document at a
smaller size. The zoom button launches the Zoom dialog box,
where you have more options for zooming in and out. You can
expand the document by clicking a specific zoom amount up to 200%. The
Zoom slider can also be used to zoom in and out; this slider is located in the
bottom right of your screen on the status bar.
SCROLL BARS
Allow to move up or down or side to side within a document. In word, a
vertical scroll bar appears on the right side of the document window. You can
click the scroll buttons to move up or down one line at a time, or you can
click and hold a scroll button to scroll more
quickly. You can also click and drag the scroll box
to move through a document even faster or just
click the scroll box to see a ScreenTip displaying
your position in the document.
At the bottom of the vertical scroll bar, ou can
click the Previous Page button to move back to the previous page or click the
Next page button to move to the following page.
USING THE GO TO COMMAND TO NAVIGATE A LONG DOCUMENT
In a longer document, you may need to move through the document more quickly than is
possible by scrolling. The GO TO command and Select Browse Object button provide ways
to navigate through longer documents quickly.
3. SELECTING, REPLACING, AND DELETING TEXT
You can delete text in Word documents by pressing the Backspace
key to delete characters to the left of the insertion point, pressing
the Delete key to delete characters to the right of the insertion
point, or selecting text and pressing either the Delete key or
Backspace key. To cancel a selection, click in any blank area of the
document screen.
