1. 4. Who would the audience be for your media product?
As my magazine genre is mainstream pop I decided I would like to target my magazine at both males and females
between the ages of 15 – 19 years old. I believe this as the colour schemes used will attract both the male and
female audience. My magazine will attract people of a class of C1 and D as the genre of the magazine wouldn’t
attract people of a higher class so I have aimed my magazine to people of a lower class. This is connoted by the
san serif fonts throughout my magazine.
My magazine is aimed at any ethnicity and this is reflected by the main image on the cover as it is of a black
person. As well as this is have a range of different people within my magazine as I have black people as well as
white people to show my audience that it is targeted at anyone.
My magazine is aimed at people who listen and enjoy mainstream pop. I chose to base my magazine around the
mainstream pop genre as I am a fan myself and I feel comfortable within the genre of music as well as it being one
of the most popular types of music. I also believe this genre to be the most popular as most music in current charts
is mainstream pop.
2. 4. Who would the audience be for your media product?
Throughout my magazine both males and females are
reflected in the use of images. I have chose to use both
males and females within my work so it will appeal to both
males and females. Also the models used within my images
are of a similar age to my target audience as they are
between the age of 16-19 years old and my chosen target
audience is of a similar age.
Colour schemes used a wide range of colours which is kept
consistent throughout my magazine. I did this so my
magazine wouldn’t be bias towards as particular sex as its
targeted towards both males and females.
